That's what he did with Boston and it worked out.SportsAndLady;1831460 wrote:That's true. If he's cool with simply passing the ball, he'll work out. -
Commander of AwesomeNever a bad time to remember that the New Jersey Nets traded Kyle Korver for cash to buy the office a new fax machine.

Ironman92Rondo....if non-bitch can be great on that 2nd team helping them get open shots. He has been there (even though very young)
Lue has to get everyone meshed into their roles but plenty of time. Things looking good. -
Benny The JetI liked this one...David Griffin is pretty good at his job.
@FearTheSword you give Griff a bus pass he's ending the week with a Lamborghini -
Benny The JetAlso...cue Sleeper with the "everyone is trash" talk in 3..2..1..

Laley23Called that Korver trade a few days ago. Love it.

sleeperKorver can shoot. No thanks on Rondo.
Not sure why the hate on here. When I call a player trash, it's 100% true. -

What has Rondo done since KG and PP carried him to a championship?Commander of Awesome;1831506 wrote:Just like Kevin Love right? lolfail
I'd rather have the D-league contigent than Rondo. -

I don't think Rondo is anyone's top choice here, but the Cavs do need a vet backup PG.sleeper;1831527 wrote:What has Rondo done since KG and PP carried him to a championship?

They have one. His name is Lebron James.like_that;1831530 wrote:I don't think Rondo is anyone's top choice here, but the Cavs do need a vet backup PG. -
sleeperWhat does it say about the 4th seeded Hawks that they are willing to ship Korver for a late first round draft pick? What does that say about the East?
Also, something tells me the Hawks aren't done. They have a decent roster so this move makes me think they are scrapping it entirely. -

Yea, that's the rumor. They're going into tear down mode due to impending salaries. Trying to move Milsap out west too. Poor Dwight.sleeper;1831543 wrote:What does it say about the 4th seeded Hawks that they are willing to ship Korver for a late first round draft pick? What does that say about the East?

I can't blame them honestly. There are only two options; spend a F ton of money to build a roster to compete with Lebron James flanked by 2 all-stars and strong role players OR rip it apart and build for 2021 when hopefully LBJ is on his last legs. I don't see any available players that are going to swing the balance of the East and especially not after the Cavs dumped a liability into an asset.Benny The Jet;1831546 wrote:Yea, that's the rumor. It says after going 0-8 against the Cavs in the playoffs in back to back seasons (including one season where they were OMG the best regular season team, but still got swept by a hobbled kyrie and loveless cavs) they realized their current team as constructed already peaked and has 0 chance of winning a title. They saw Horford leave and received absolutely nothing in return for him, so they want to cash in on their assets now. This team is beginning their transition from playoff team to rebuilding from scratch. Millsap will be gone before the trade deadline, and I hope it is to one of the tougher West teams. It also wouldn't shock me to see Dwight go, but he has 3 years left on his deal, so no rush there.sleeper;1831543 wrote:What does it say about the 4th seeded Hawks that they are willing to ship Korver for a late first round draft pick? I'd also like to add my dumbass was concerned about the hawks 2 years ago when they had the best record in the East. I had a few buddies tell me they were a fraud, but I said the Hawks were a team that shouldn't be taken lightly. I was obviously way off. For now on I have a hard time trusting any team that doesn't have one super star for the playoffs.like_that;1831550 wrote:It says after going 0-8 against the Cavs in the playoffs in back to back seasons (including one season where they were OMG the best regular season team, but still got swept by a hobbled kyrie and loveless cavs) they realized their current team as constructed already peaked and has 0 chance of winning a title. KD not coming to the East sealed the deal on that and even then I think the Cavs were still the favorite at least for this next couple years.sleeper;1831549 wrote:I can't blame them honestly. I remember that Hawks team had 3(4?) all-stars while the Cavs had only 1(LBJ). Absolute joke.like_that;1831550 wrote:It says after going 0-8 against the Cavs in the playoffs in back to back seasons (including one season where they were OMG the best regular season team, but still got swept by a hobbled kyrie and loveless cavs) they realized their current team as constructed already peaked and has 0 chance of winning a title. Dwight sucks, absolutely shit. I wouldn't want him for a 3rd round draft pick in the MLB draft. I'd rather have an extra bag of nice basketballs than Dwight.
I hope Millsap goes to the Thunder. I want the Thunder to play the Warriors in the playoffs because I think the Thunder can win with a little extra talent. -

I wasn't concerned about the Hawks ever. I think people are just trying to be humble but the reality is a LBJ lead team is not concerned about any garbage in the East. If it weren't for the Warriors, I'd pencil in LBJ to win the next 4 championships. I think he gets at least 2 of the next 4; probably more. Lebron might be the first player in history to lead his team to 12 straight NBA Finals.like_that;1831551 wrote:I'd also like to add my dumbass was concerned about the hawks 2 years ago when they had the best record in the East. sportswizuhrdThey are 1-0 against the Cavs this season with a new makeup of a team(no Teague or Horford, now have Dwight and Schroeder in starting lineup) but we all know regular season doesn't mean much. I would say the bigger reason they are making this move is because last offseason they watched Horford leave for nothing. They want to cash in on these two leaving before they lose them for nothing as well. Not saying they think they would beat the Cavs if they kept this team together. Obviously it's not a chance they were willing to take.

I believe Horford, Teague, Korver and Millsap were all stars, which was a joke. The Cavs had 2 (kyrie and lebron). Last year the Cavs only had Lebron. This year if the Cavs don't have 3 all stars then it is a complete joke. Lebron and Kyrie are already 1 and 2 in all star voting.sleeper;1831554 wrote:I remember that Hawks team had 3(4?) all-stars while the Cavs had only 1(LBJ). Absolute joke.

Cash in by getting a late first rounder?sportswizuhrd;1831557 wrote:They are 1-0 against the Cavs this season with a new makeup of a team(no Teague or Horford, now have Dwight and Schroeder in starting lineup) but we all know regular season doesn't mean much. BTW, Hawks would be swept 4-0 this year with their current team against the Cavs. It wouldn't even be close.
