sleeperI blame Lebron for disappearing in the 2nd half. Lebron had 27 points at halftime and ending up with only 38? Then at the end, in crunch time, he makes a shitty pass to Kyle Korver instead of finishing at the rims? Then the next play, he defers to KI instead of taking the ball and making a play?
I still think we can win this series. It's less than a 5% chance, but it's still possible. If we do lose this series, we need to take a long hard look at Lue and his lack of coaching ability. -

Might be spot on with that comment. Had read awhile back that it may have been a reason that Boston didn't make a major trade splash at the deadline. They knew even if they were going to add a major piece, it still probably wouldn't get them over the hump (Cavs) in the East and could you imagine them (Celtics) in this series? Commander of AwesomeThere's still a chance of an injury. Last night at a bar in SF, when LBJ went down after colliding w/ TT's shoulder, 3 POS warrior "fans" starting hooting, hollering and celebrating LBJ going down. I hope Karma bites the Warriors in the ass.

If you evaluate the Warriors roster (2 MVP's, a DPOY and another lockdown defender in Thompson) versus the Cavs and the rest of the league, this offseason will essentially become either an arms race (for those who feel they are close to competing for the title = Cavs) or a draft pick stockpile to wait it out until the Warriors are no longer a threat.
The saving grace for the Cavs would be that Steph & KD have had injury issues in the past and making it through the season isn't a guarantee. Not to be the kiss of death but, in the same breath, LBJ has been very fortunate to dodge any major injuries throughout his career. -

It's because I posted it., lol. I really don't see where it's that unrealistic. If the Warriors stay intact, and healthy, they will be close to unbeatable the next 3-5 seasons.friendfromlowry;1857626 wrote:What's trash about it? -
SportsAndLadyIt's not that you posted it. It's that it's saying what you've been saying and I can't disagree with it more.
That's just the narrative right now, that the warriors can't ever be beat. Yes they look unstoppable now, but that doesn't mean they'll be unstoppable next year, or 3 years, or 5 years.
That was just a typical sports media article these days. Make a crazy claim because it's the current environment.
Warriors are great now! Means warriors are great in 5 years! And then to take it a step further, cavs won't ever win again because warriors are so great!
Yawn. -
BR1986FB
But here's the thing....LBJ probably isn't still going to be "great" in another 3-5 years. He'll be very good but he's not going to be the phenom that we know now. Some people don't seem to have a concept of Father Time. The dude, imo, is the GOAT but time catches up to everyone and it will be here quicker than you think. Him & Kyrie were running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to defend the Warrior ball movement. LBJ won't be able to play at that pace for another 3-5 years. He was dead after that game.SportsAndLady;1857653 wrote:It's not that you posted it. It's that it's saying what you've been saying and I can't disagree with it more.

Anything (injuries, Klay leaves, etc) can happen with the Warriors but, if they stay healthy, this group is only going to get better. This is only their first year with KD. If they can stay focused/motivated, and not get complacent, they should win the title over the next several years. -

Keep an eye on contract demands as each one's contract comes up, though. Remember, the reason they were able to get Durant without going into luxury tax territory was because they got Curry to sign for a friggin' steal because of his prior ankle injuries.BR1986FB;1857657 wrote:But here's the thing....LBJ probably isn't still going to be "great" in another 3-5 years. Once Curry, Klay, KD, and possibly Draymond come up for renewal, they may be willing to accept a little less to stay, but will they be willing to accept a ton less, and will the ownership be willing to go as far above the cap as the Cavs have to keep it together? -
BRFHere's what I think about..........
I'm laying in bed and watching the end debacle.
I'm grateful that I'm in bed and can cuss and turn it off..........and I'm in my bed.
I can't hardly imagine how bad the fans feel who went to the game, paid for tickets, parking, food, drink.........and THEN get to drive home....and go to work the next day..........start the fucking games earlier, btw.
End of Rant.
Except to say that Kevin Durant is a pretty GD good player.
The championship game changer. KD -
ernest_t_bassI'll take the Spurs to the finals next year. You can take that to the bank. (Also could be Warriors).

Great idea, in theory, but unless something really goes sour, Steph is likely resigning a big deal. The next expiring contract in Klay, after the 2019 season. Draymond is signed through 2020 and Durant will also likely stick around. 2019-2020, Lebron's window (talent-wise) may have slipped away by then.O-Trap;1857741 wrote:Keep an eye on contract demands as each one's contract comes up, though. I will say that my personal opinion is that they are going to blow this up in the offseason, if possible, and try to move guys like TT or Love. I've already said I'd love to keep K-Love as the fourth member of a Big 4. -

Not disagreeing with you but who are they bringing in? No one is taking that TT contract. They aren't bringing in someone better than Love to play the 4. There just aren't many options.BR1986FB;1857824 wrote:Great idea, in theory, but unless something really goes sour, Steph is likely resigning a big deal. Oh, I agree. I said "if possible." I really don't know what they can or will do. The only thing we, as Cavs fans, can hope for is that some of these aging star players see what GS has and think "I'm not getting a shot at a title unless I join either GS or Lebron in Cleveland." I will say that they are going to have to try to shake it up some way because LBJ is a free agent again in 2018 and I don't think he's a fan of complacency.superman;1857827 wrote:Not disagreeing with you but who are they bringing in? There's a lot of old, dead weight on this roster that they need to dump (Frye, Jefferson, Dahntay/James Jones, Korver & both Williams) and get younger. I like Korver but that "experiment" didn't pan out. -

You don't represent or speak for all cavs fans. I'm a cavs fan who doesn't think we have to "blow it up" to beat golden state.BR1986FB;1857829 wrote:Oh, I agree. I said "if possible."
