What does Lebron have to do?

We dropped to 19 wins and first pick multiple times in the draft. Heat are no where near that, and as you even stated, 3rd seed this year in the playoffs. He is more valuable to Cleveland than he was to Miami.sleeper;1800886 wrote:Really?
Missed the playoffs the year after Lebron left. 57 wins to 37 wins.
This year: improved to 48 wins for the 3 seed. Lost in R2. Hassan and Dragic mostly.
That sounds about as dramatic of a change as the Cavs experience. 33 wins and missed playoffs before Lebron; 53 wins and 2 seed to NBA Finals in Lebron's first year. 57 wins, 1 seed, NBA Champion in 2nd year.
Tell me more though! -

Exactly. Lebron found success with a dog shit team that would win 19 games without him.slingshot4ever;1800892 wrote:We dropped to 19 wins and first pick multiple times in the draft. You do realize you are strengthening my argument correct? The reality is, Lebron James is an instant ticket to the Finals; he could take 76ers and will them to the NBA Finals.
Can Jordan do that? No. -

Jordan also went to college though and didn't go to the NBA straight out of high school.like_that;1800760 wrote:FWIW both players at the age of 31 has 3 titles. Lebron had more MVPs though. -

Midstate01Jordan is the best closer I ever saw. Guy was just incredible.
Lebron is the best all around player I've ever seen.
Regardless, I don't like comparing them. They're both the best player of their generation.

I absolutely did. He's good, Lebron is better.Spock;1800898 wrote:you never saw Jordan play did you? -

Jordan got cut from his varsity team. Jordan wasn't even the consensus #1 draft pick.GoChiefs;1800896 wrote:Jordan also went to college though and didn't go to the NBA straight out of high school.
If Jordan doesn't get drafted by the Bulls, I don't think he wins 6 championships. Jordan being lucky doesn't make him better than Lebron. -
sleeperJordan played in a watered down league with barely any international players and less teams. The NBA was still the best league in the world, but didn't have all the best players. Also, the NBA had more white people back in the 1990's; congrats to Jordan for winning against slow white people.
Jordan would be on par with Kobe in today's game. Very good, top 10 all time; Lebron is better.

sleeperExcept the white people in the league now are the best players in Europe; not the scraps of D1 basketball teams.

That's fine...but also funny LeBron didn't win until Bogut went down.sleeper;1800995 wrote:Except the white people in the league now are the best players in Europe; not the scraps of D1 basketball teams. -

False. They won Game 3.Ironman92;1800997 wrote:That's fine...but also funny LeBron didn't win until Bogut went down.
Also, Bogut is Australian. The premier player in Australia actually. It was nice for Jordan to only have to play against scraps on D1/D-league players instead of the world's best. -

Yeah, you didn't make 10 posts about the importance of Bogut going down this series.sleeper;1800998 wrote:False. They won Game 3.

THere isnt one Euro player that would make an impact in the 80-90's that is playing today.sleeper;1800976 wrote:Jordan played in a watered down league with barely any international players and less teams. Irving has dual citizenship. I'd consider him American but okay.wildcats20;1801000 wrote:I bet Kyrie Irving disagrees.
Doesn't really change the point, in fact it only strengthens my point. Jordan played mostly against the best in the US and didn't have to deal with playing against the best talent in the world. -

Cavs are a better team. That is the reality. -
Commander of AwesomeJust because this seems relevant.... In their playoff careers, Lebron James has a higher VORP, OWS, DWS, WS, and BPM than Michael Jordan

None of this matters to Jordan fans. How do you measure clutch? How do you measure killer instinct?Commander of Awesome;1801012 wrote:Just because this seems relevant.... In their playoff careers, Lebron James has a higher VORP, OWS, DWS, WS, and BPM than Michael Jordan
That's what seperates MJ from Lebron. Intangibles that cannot be measured and cannot be bested.
