I heard it, I liked it. Seems really good. Can't imagine too many guys have more than 40% more multi hits games than 0'fers

Well, if it was simply even, it would guarantee a hit per game average. Add in that 1. it is near a 2:1 ratio and 2. that we know he has several 3+ hit games and it's even more impressive.

Maybe a few guys have don't this to start their careers like Altuve, not sure how many can go a full career that way though. Will be interesting to see how long he keeps it up.

I took Miguel Cabrera in 2012 where he hit .330 and compared to Altuve's career so far (in 0'fers vs multi hit games and nothing else...so don't go there) and Cabrera that year (batting champion) was 47 0'fers and 64 multi hits....slightly less than Altuve's career % thus far.

Nolan Arenado is so damn good

4/5 tonight with 2 HR and 7 rbi

Phillies rule 5 player Daniel Stumpf was suspended 80 games for testing positive for a steroid that has 30 letters and I think 11 syllables.

    Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone

So, testosterone with a whole bunch other crap before it. Including meth. I'd suspend him too. Fucking junkie.

Turinabol. Very similar to Dianabol, the most popular oral steroid used in strength sports.

For a baseball player...absolutely retarded to use, IMO.

Vince Velasquez, complete game shutout with 16 K's and 0 walks. Looking like the Phillies may have gotten the better end of that deal with Houston. Velasquez looks incredible thus far and only 23.

Harper just hit a grand slam for his 100th career HR

Him and Garcia are on my fantasy baseball opponents team this week. 18 IP with 29 K's and 0 ER have crushed me today

Jake Arrieta is good. The Cubs are good. Obvious statements are obvious.

No one seems to be talking about Bryce Harper's brash flare for playing anymore either. He too is decent.

Pirates had a decent third inning against Milwaukee. One out, a walk, then seven straight singles to score five runs. Two were infield singles, too, so they weren't hitting the ball hard, just getting on base.

When Chapman gets back the Yankees are going to have an incredible 3 headed monster at the end of that bullpen.

Jeff Locke is amazing in the field of "guy who gets worse every year, still has a job" when it comes to pitching!
  • Azubuike24
I'd put Jered Weaver up there. Guy was close to an ace, now he tops out at about 85 MPH.

That's true. I think the difference between those two is that Weaver once was legit excellent. Locke's peak was being a decent starter whose base stats were deceptively good because advanced metrics showed that luck played a big role in him having a good record and ERA, which got him his one all-star berth. Since then, he hasn't had the good luck and has gotten steadily less effective. This year, he changed his delivery and after one promising start has been pure trash in two straight.

Yeah but Weaver was a top 5 CY 3 consecutive years, won 18 just 2 years ago and was 131-69 thru age 31....his velocity is far far gone, but he was damn good. Is consistently going down the last 5 years through the metrics and should be out of the league by the ASB....but he once had stuff. Locke just smoke and mirrors.

Kershaw pitched against the Braves and Drew Stubbs and Jeff Francoeur each had 2 hits

    Rinse and repeat.

Nats down 2-1 in the 9th and PH Harper and on the 8th pitch with numerous foul offs he tied it up a mash. His replacement Chris Heisey took over RF and went 2/3 including a monster walk off HR in the 16th
