Walter football agrees with you, but they have the browns picking 10th.Commander of Awesome;1831087 wrote:Give me Garrett/Allen at #1, Hooker/OLB/S at #12 and Pat Mahomes in the 2nd. -
Crimson streakJosh Allen is another qb that is intriguing. Has really good size and arm strength and played very well at Wyoming. Could be a sleeper qb in this draft if he comes out

Hardly a sleeper, being picked to go #3 overall.Crimson streak;1831113 wrote:Josh Allen is another qb that is intriguing. Has really good size and arm strength and played very well at Wyoming. Could be a sleeper qb in this draft if he comes out

sleeperNo thanks on any of the QBs in this draft.
I'd rather trade for Romo or someone relevant rather than blow a pick on any of these bozos. -
SportsAndLadyThoughts on AJ Mccarron? Hue coached him at cinci, I could see us sending cinci a pick or two and groom a QB behind mccarron for a couple years.

I think that would be a good move.SportsAndLady;1831175 wrote:Thoughts on AJ Mccarron? Hue coached him at cinci, I could see us sending cinci a pick or two and groom a QB behind mccarron for a couple years. -

You have to have a QB. As a Lions fan I'll tell ya we don't make the playoffs three times if Stafford isn't taken. Sure guys like Suh and Johnson helped with major seasons, but it was having a decent QB that allowed Detroit to at least stop being god awful.Commander of Awesome;1831087 wrote:Give me Garrett/Allen at #1, Hooker/OLB/S at #12 and Pat Mahomes in the 2nd.
Take a Kizer or Trubisky first and then at 10 go with Hooker or Barnett -

He reminds me of Kessler. Also I don't see bengals doing a deal in the afc north.SportsAndLady;1831175 wrote:Thoughts on AJ Mccarron? Hue coached him at cinci, I could see us sending cinci a pick or two and groom a QB behind mccarron for a couple years. -

Yeah, I don't either.Commander of Awesome;1831181 wrote:He reminds me of Kessler. Also I don't see bengals doing a deal in the afc north.
I'm warming up to the idea of getting an existing NFL QB to come here for a few years and start drafting some mid level guys to groom. If we get 2-3 qbs in the 2-4th round range, gotta think one of them turns into something right?
And at least with a decent QB we will be tolerable for a couple years. That'd be nice. -

Garcia, dilfer, delhomme, seneca wallace, Josh McCown, etc... nah I'm good on that.SportsAndLady;1831185 wrote:Yeah, I don't either.

Crimson streakI just don't think they pass on Garrett or Allen at number 1. At 12 if one of the qb's fall to us there I wouldn't complain if they took one. I'd be happy with Kizer or Allen from Wyoming at 12

Hey, when all you have are the wasted careers of a couple all-time greats and a handful of first-round appearances, you gotta brag!!!like_that;1831200 wrote:Can you please tell us more about Detroit? Please?! -

I'm talking about a McCarron, who has shown to be a pretty decent QB in his time at cinci. I'm not calling him a super bowl winning QB, but if we can add two defensive studs at picks 1 and 12, add mccarron, draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round to sit behind mccarron, and go 8-8 next year, I'll gladly take that and consider that progress.Commander of Awesome;1831186 wrote:Garcia, dilfer, delhomme, seneca wallace, Josh McCown, etc... nah I'm good on that. -

Commander of AwesomeKessler: 8 GS, 65.6CMP%, 1380 yards, 6 TDs, 2 INT.
McCarron: 7 GS, 66.4 CMP%, 850 yards, 6TD's, 2 INT.
McCarron had AJ Green, Sanu, Jones, Gio, Eiffert, and Hill on offense.
Kessler had Pryor, a 1st yr WR.
No thanks on McCarron. -

I agree McCarron isn't that good or much of an upgrade over Kessler. I'd still try to get garrapolo with a 2nd rounder and if the pats don't bite then you look in the draftCommander of Awesome;1831206 wrote:Kessler: 8 GS, 65.6CMP%, 1380 yards, 6 TDs, 2 INT.

Jimmy G or Mahomes for me. We end draft without either PLUS Garrett, this regime can GFI.Crimson streak;1831210 wrote:I agree McCarron isn't that good or much of an upgrade over Kessler. I'd still try to get garrapolo with a 2nd rounder and if the pats don't bite then you look in the draft

I'd be ok with Kizer or Allen at 12 as well. The combine and interviews with teams will be interesting. I wouldn't complain about mahomes either. The only thing that worries me is he will take time to develop due to playing in the shot gun every snap and actually reading a defense. Where both Kizer and Allen ran offenses that better suit the pro game.Commander of Awesome;1831211 wrote:Jimmy G or Mahomes for me. We end draft without either PLUS Garrett, this regime can GFI.

I'm not as into kizer or Allen as you, but wouldn't QQ. I'd prefer Kizer, Ohio boy.Crimson streak;1831212 wrote:I'd be ok with Kizer or Allen at 12 as well. Haven't seen the asking price on mccarron, but I wouldn't give up much. 3rd and a 4th would do it for me.Commander of Awesome;1831205 wrote:What are giving up to get him then? -

I'd rather have Kessler, but if we can get him for a 4th and Hue signs off on it, I guess I wouldn't QQ too hard. I'd put that down the list though.SportsAndLady;1831220 wrote:Haven't seen the asking price on mccarron, but I wouldn't give up much. 3rd and a 4th would do it for me.
1. Jimmy for 2nd 1st or 2nd round pick
2. Mahomes
3. Kizer
4. Ride with Kessler
5. McCarron -
sleeperKizer is straight trash. I wouldn't even want him with a 7th round pick.
