Ironman92WTF just happened? The worst ref in NFL history just tossed Josh Norman for shooting an imaginary bow and arrow?
I feel the rest of sports today just got overshadowed. -

iclfan2I don't think he tossed him, I think it's a warning and he gets tossed if he does it again. I could be wrong.
Has anyone seen the video of Duke Johnson holding the ball while the refs are saying that redskins had it? I'll also add that it was the woman ref

like_thatI was at the game, and Pryor seemed livid about the fumble call. I thought there would be a challenge.

iclfan2They showed him on tv too. Guys had to sit him down he was so mad. Makes 0 sense

ts1227I haven't seen a replay of it yet, but is there any chance a Redskin had it on the ground and down, and Duke ripped it away after the fact? There are plenty of times a guy comes up holding the ball like that trying to sell it even though he got it WAY too late.
It wouldn't surprise me if they got it wrong though because Triplette and his gang of retards are always one of the worst. -
Commander of AwesomeI hate the steelers

Terry_TateJust saw the video on the Duke Johnson fumble. How the hell does that get messed up? The official came in and signaled Redskins ball when Duke Johnson is standing up with it. Did they talk about that on the broadcast of the game?

I thought the same thing...just because you come up with the ball doesn't mean you went down with the ball.\\ts1227;1813511 wrote:I haven't seen a replay of it yet, but is there any chance a Redskin had it on the ground and down, and Duke ripped it away after the fact? But just to clarify, I haven't seen the replay. -
Terry_TateThey were on the ground and almost immediately Duke got up and held the ball out and no Redskins player was arguing with him. If it had been 5 seconds after he hit the ground then maybe, but it was maybe a second after he was on the ground.
-
iclfan2Yea it was bad. Duke came out of pile almost immediately while people were still fighting over "the ball" on the ground. I get the plays where a scrum exists and some random guy runs out holding the ball at end like a joke, but this wasn't like that at all. On the post game interviews Duke said he definitely had it.

like_thatI hate talking about refs when the Browns absolutely suck ass and find ways to lose (case in point 3 turnovers in a row when they were about to go up 10), but there were some absolutely awful calls. Both pass interference calls were tacky as fuck. The first one that setup the skins 2nd TD was bullshit, but I could live with it, because a lot of NFL refs would call it in today's NFL. The second one on Haden (also set up a TD), which was literally the same spot as the first PI was a complete fucking joke. What makes it even worse is Norman was holding/pulling Pryor for a good 3 seconds before picking off Kessler's pass.
After QB, I think DB has to be the toughest position in the NFL these days with how the rules are set up heavily against them. They can't do shit. -
bases_loadedSomething that will go unnoticed because of the loss was that outside of two bullshit PI calls...our DBs shut down their WRs. We didn't have an answer for Reed, but that was because we were covering him with our LBs but the DBs were once again on point.

I just feel they don't know what they can or can't do because the refs are so inconsistent. Not even game to game but half to half.like_that;1813558 wrote:I hate talking about refs when the Browns absolutely suck ass and find ways to lose (case in point 3 turnovers in a row when they were about to go up 10), but there were some absolutely awful calls. Crimson streakJust saw that Kessler has the number 1 adjusted completion percentage at 81% and the number 1 adjusted percentage under pressure at 87%. I was really surprised by that.

Commander of AwesomeAdding to Kessler's QB % here;

Pretty interesting considering we're at 0-4. You can take this a few ways:
1. The rankings are BS
Wouldn't be my take bc I respect ProFootballFocus's analysis.
2. We're an improved team, and W's are coming. -
Commander of AwesomeIn b4 typical Sleeper post that is the equivalent of a steelers fan sayin', "SIX RANGZZZZ THIX RANNNNNGGZZZZZZZZZZ DERP DERP DERP"
-
sleeperI think we get 3 wins. We are without question a bottom 3 team in the league.
Hot take or not; that is reality. -

Exactly but the fact that the young players are improving and out there making plays and playing well is very encouraging. Obviously we still have some massive holes but it's nice to see the young guys finally start to show promise. Also I know you will love this, Shelton is top 3 in the league at stopping the run. Just have to keep building on this in the next 2 draftsCommander of Awesome;1813908 wrote:Adding to Kessler's QB % here;
