Same, I was pretty high on him coming out.

"Apparently, they said: 'The 76ers suck and you guys are all losers. You'll never win a game,' " a source close to Okafor told Goodman.
"I was around the corner when it happened. I saw him a minute after he knocked the dude out," the source said. "I think the guy was just talking s---. Saying the Sixers suck."

Okafor needs some thicker skin. Incredible that he played at Duke and was probably taunted way worse than that every time they stepped away from Cameron.

At least he can win a fight.

    A few things:

    1. You are a professional athlete that might end up pretty darn good, regardless he's a professional athlete....ignore and walk away, be the professional.

    2. I believe only assholes heckle professional athletes outside of the arena/playing field

    3. I'm not a big guy or a tough guy but who the fuck runs his mouth to a 6'11 275 lb athlete?.....doubt he does that anymore

I would've enjoyed watching that transpire.

There's the video (NSFW language). Basically him just tossing people around like ragdolls. It'll be interesting to see what his suspension amounts to. Obviously he needs thicker skin and to watch out for himself, but can't blame him for being frustrated with that garbage team.

Would assume the back attacker in the green got his to.

Definitely punched like an NBA guy lol

Harden 50-9-8 in leading the Rockets over the winless Sixers by 2

That feels like me saying the Steelers are a top 5 team for beating on the Browns.

Out of my 409 players who qualified, James Harden is 383rd in defensive real plus-minus.

Finished with 18 and 24. Not a bad night....EXCEPT....He was 12-34 from the line and the 22 missed FT's were the most since Chamberlain back in '63-'64.

I think I could do that from 30 ft away
  • Lovejoy1984
I will never understand how some of these guys can't shoot at least 70% from the FT line. The Rick Barry style can't be any more embarrassing the air balling consecutive shots from the line, or missing 22 a night. Especially considering there are kids in Elementary school right now who would drain greater than 70% if given the chance.

Not to go all FW, but in the 8th grade I was absolutely garbage at basketball, but I was 6'3" so I made the team to rebound and that's about it, but was able to finish the season 77% from the line. Banked most of them in, but they still went in. He needs a coach or someone in that FO to force him to improve or find some legal way to dock his salary.

Shaq is a HOFer but he could've been ridiculous had he adopted Rick Barry's style. I don't get it. I've always been about the end result and not "style points" but I know that's not the mindset of the typical NBA player.

Not that I disagree with you all. But it's a ton easier for us to make a free throw being able to arc the ball nicely to get good bounces and our hands don't engulf the thing. Imagine being 7'. You basically are trying to get a good arc and spin on a ball that is more than 50% covered by your hand. Basically, pick up a mini basketball and go shoot it...it's tough to get proper arc and spin. Then imagine you have 2 feet less room to work with, these guys almost have to shoot line drives at the basket.

Always wondered if the clear backboard has any effect.

It has to make it more difficult, especially to someone who struggles a bit and all the horse play going on in the background.

As for the giant guys....then why Dirk, Durant and others shooting close to 90%

I've heard guys like Shaq would make 20/25 in practice and then couldn't take it to the game.
  • Mulva
I don't buy the size argument. Guys like LA, Dirk, and Porzingis don't seem to have any trouble putting arc on their shots. Kawhi doesn't seem to be hurt by having huge hands.

I think the reason big guys tend to struggle more than guards in the league is simply that you can't teach someone to be 7 feet tall. If you're a giant athlete you might be able to get by without having great technical ability because there isn't as much competition. If you're 6'5 you don't have that luxury.
  • Laley23
I'm not saying it's the sole reason, nor is it an excuse. But I feel as though being a giant has to make it harder.
  • SportsAndLady
Is Porzingis THAT good? Front page of ESPN has an article about how the Knicks are basically on the cusp of being very good again, and the article is basically about Porzingis being the second coming.

I've only watched them play once, and he was pretty good, but I didn't see super star in him.

Is this typical ESPN media hype trying to make the Knicks relevant again or is he that good?

He has looked pretty good, but pump the breaks. Typical BSPN.
