Twolves are one of my top 5 teams to watch this season.Ironman92;1765404 wrote:TWolves with some young guys on the team. Garnett and Andre Miller were both in the NBA in the 1990's and Tayshaun Prince nearing in on 1,000 games....spring chicken Kevin Martin in there also
Favorite Teams to watch thus far:
1. Cavs
2. GSW
3. Wolves
4. Bucks
5. Between Spurs and OKC, I'll go OKC bc of Westbrook. -

I doubt they get 12. Less than 10 wins is my guess.Ironman92;1765398 wrote:Martin seals the win for Wolves....76ers will get 12 wins on the year. -
Lovejoy1984They will have to get lucky and catch some bad teams on the 2nd games of back to backs.

HereticIt's early in the year, but I do find it kinda interesting that, right now, the East has 10 teams with above-500 records, while the West only has 4. That's about the exact opposite of what it has been in recent seasons.

The pics are funny. The commenter who was praising THE PROCESS was even better in a way. -

I did watch the series. It ended with a parade in Oakland I believelike_that;1765364 wrote:I take it you didn't watch any of the series. Anyway, this post is funny coming from the guy who thinks the tigers are the greatest baseball team alive (last place in the division and never won a WS title despite bragging about previous division titles LOL), matt stafford is a good QB (LOL), calvin johnson is still a top 5 WR, and says stupid shit like this:
I am surprised you are out of hiding with how shitty the tigers and lions are. I guess as long as the Pistons flirt with the 7-8 seed you will be around to provide us some lulz with your stupidity. -
Ironman92Looks like the Lakers will be knocking the Warriors from the 0 in the loss column.

Lovejoy1984Kobe really needs to just hang it up.....its depressing watching him play this poorly.

Ironman92Enjoyed his 3 point air ball over the rim, then dribbled out of bounds a few possessions later

That's one way to look at it. The way I look at it, through schadenfreude-tinted glasses, is that it's awesome to watch him suck this much.HighRoller74;1765645 wrote:Kobe really needs to just hang it up.....its depressing watching him play this poorly. -
Midstate01I very much enjoy seeing kobe suck and yet still keep shooting...

He's still the highest paid player in the NBA. The reality is, he could come back next year and the Lakers would pay him.HighRoller74;1765645 wrote:Kobe really needs to just hang it up.....its depressing watching him play this poorly.
He's garbage though and has been the last few years. -

He's also the only career achievement winner of the MVP award in the history of the NBA. He didn't deserve that MVP IMO.sleeper;1765704 wrote:He's still the highest paid player in the NBA. The reality is, he could come back next year and the Lakers would pay him.

HereticAnd you guys were making of Harden and how he was going 39% over 10 games with his usual volume shooting. Kobe is making that look All-Star this year. About 30% and leading the team in shot attempts. Amazingly, the Lakers still are better than Philly despite this.

This is true. He did deserve one of the Steve Nash MVP's so it all evened out in the end.Commander of Awesome;1765714 wrote:He's also the only career achievement winner of the MVP award in the history of the NBA. He didn't deserve that MVP IMO. -

Steve Nash didn't deserve either of his MVPs. LBJ deserved all 3 of those MVPs IMO.sleeper;1765730 wrote:This is true. He did deserve one of the Steve Nash MVP's so it all evened out in the end. -

You could make a pretty strong argument that LBJ deserves the MVP for every year he's been in the NBA.Commander of Awesome;1765733 wrote:Steve Nash didn't deserve either of his MVPs. LBJ deserved all 3 of those MVPs IMO.
It really depends on how you define MVP; is it the best player? Is it the best player on the best team? Is it the player who's most valuable to his team's success?
Using criteria 1 and 3, Lebron wins it every year. The issue is Lebron's Cavs teams in his early years were just not that great so when the media wants to push criteria 2, sometimes Lebron gets left in the dust. -

MVP is really easy for me, who's the best player. Pretty simple. And by that criteria, LBJ should have at least 5 or 6 MVPs.sleeper;1765738 wrote:You could make a pretty strong argument that LBJ deserves the MVP for every year he's been in the NBA.

Azubuike24The problem is, guys like LBJ set the bar so high, if they don't keep exceeding that or their team isn't incredibly dominant, they look for others to spread the wealth.
Michael Jordan literally had the best stats (and the best team) for over a decade, but guys like Barkley and Malone were thrown bones. Also, had he not retired, he likely has 2 more because looking at his numbers right before retiring and right after, he literally missed what would've been 2 of his best 4 or 5 years. -
Heretic
Yeah, the fun thing about that was how those guys always wound up going against the Bulls in the finals when they'd win MVP. So we all got Pissed Off Jordan looking to show just who the real MVP was. Those performances were always awe-inspiring.Azubuike24;1765746 wrote:The problem is, guys like LBJ set the bar so high, if they don't keep exceeding that or their team isn't incredibly dominant, they look for others to spread the wealth.

sportchamppsI my reason Jordan didn't win more MVPs is the media gets tired of writing the same story same with LBJ

Ironman92Sixers led with 40 seconds left but lost by 4....they are terrible but look better than the Lakers

MulvaJeremy Lamb finally starting to look like the player I expected him to be this year.
