I'm surprised he had the interest he did. Besides GS, the Spurs, Thunder, Hawks & Clippers were supposedly all interested.

Couldn't confirm. I tried google seaching for any media member writing disparaging remarks about AV going to the dubs and couldn't find one. Doesn't mean there wasn't one, but I didn't see it.

Once the Cavs moved him, all's fair. I don't blame him for going to GS. Yeah, it would suck to see him win a ring with an archrival but he had every right to join WHO he wanted to as a free agent.
I also have not heard/seen anything like this and DGAF where he goes. Was he suppose to sign with Denver or Orlando to not be a traitor??

    I'm wondering this, too.

Exactly. Whether AV was "loyal" or not went out the window once he was traded. He owes nothing to the Cavs at this point.

What info could they possibly gain? The Cavs only have about 3 plays in the book and 2 of them are Lebron iso and Irving iso neither of which they needed AV to help them with as they won last year and dominated in both matchups this year.

How has Andy been traded, released, and signed with another team before Frye even takes a physical? Not saying it's going to happen, but if it's not done by tomorrow it voids the trade for Frye.

Completely separate trade. We got Frye for the TPE and the other assets were a separate trade involving Andy.

Very aware of that...what I'm saying is we'd not have Frye and still not have Andy. Just stating that a guy can get traded, released, and picked back up and claimed before another even takes a physical. With Shumpert, and possibly Kyrie out again...seems like an extra body would be a good thing.

Neither are an impact player. I expect about as much out of Frye as I did Andy, which is nothing. If you want an extra body there is plenty of trash sitting in the D-league that would happily accept a contract to play with the Cavs.

    TL;DR: Frye sucks, Andy sucks.

I agree with this....just hoping Frye sucks a little less than Andy did.

Frye has been cleared, and is available to play tonight.

Frye is most certainly better than AV.

I think Griffin did a good job managing the assets we had with what was realistically available on the market however its still disappointing that Frye of all people was the piece we added.

Love needs to play better. If Love plays like he did Sunday vs. OKC, Cavs will win the championship.

He needs to be above 20 points and 10 rebounds every night. Right now he is at 16-10 which is barely relevant for a $100M player.

TT needs to play better too. He's at $83M and can't even crack double digits in Points or rebounds. He needs to be 10ppg, 1rpg at least.

Lebron will get his, Irving will get his, TT/Love need to play better.

Hopefully Benny and the Jet cools his jets on the Frye panic now.

Frye brings a ton more to the tabee for the Cavs than Andy (not saying much, but still a very good trade). They haven't had an effective pick and roll/pop guy in 2 years. Mozgov can't catch when he rolls. TT can only dunk, so he has to be wide open. Love can step back and take the 3, but he doesn't make enough, and is more suited for inside the arc. Plus, the other teams know about him and don't usually leave him open on a pick and roll.

With Frye, you don't have someone who is going to do much, but he is more valuable if they use him in that role. He can hit the top of the key 3 if teams leave him for KI and LBJ. I believe he is over 55% on top of the arc 3s when he is open.

And while Frye isn't a great defender, he can help with the small lineup that GSW through out there.
  • Lovejoy1984
Love with a quick 8 in the first quarter. Doing a good job getting him the ball in the post, while letting LBJ and KI to continue the ISO attack
  • Lovejoy1984
TT isn't big/fast/strong enough for Drummond.

Love always has great 1st. It's every other quarter.

I read that Andy gets a ring if the Cavs win. That would be awkward.

True, in the 1st they seem to feed him the ball, and then from there on its kinda questionable.

Did you read the article in ESPN about playing back to back games as it pertains to fg%, injuries....even dunks? Very interesting.

Pistons played last night too. Really not an excuse. Lebron is just ass tonight.
