I saw some change and his post game explained things well.SportsAndLady;1777800 wrote:It was his first game and I'm ALREADY seeing people say "see! Shouldn't have fired Blatt!" lol

His defense is the bigger problem. He just isn't athletic enough to match up with the players he will need to in the playoffs to take this team to the title.HighRoller74;1777777 wrote:Only player on the team to shoot 50% for the game.
I know you love your Hot Taeks, but if you actually watched the game you would know he was frozen out of the offense for the 2nd half. -

Who will have guarding on Warriors and Spurs?Al Bundy;1777809 wrote:His defense is the bigger problem. He just isn't athletic enough to match up with the players he will need to in the playoffs to take this team to the title. -

BRFI actually watched the second half last night. What a disappointment.
Love is a Danny Ferry type player. -

He won't be guarding anyone. That is the problem.Ironman92;1777814 wrote:Who will he be guarding on the Warriors or Spurs? -

Yeah because that is SO different than you saying "trade Love he sucks" after every game. lolSportsAndLady;1777800 wrote:It was his first game and I'm ALREADY seeing people say "see! Shouldn't have fired Blatt!" lol

SportsAndLadyWithout directly responding to lep, because there's no fucking point and i'm not doing it, i did get a big ol laugh out of "this game was MEANINGLESS!!!!" 72 hours later, head coach fired. Hopefully lep is thinking "hmm, maybe i CAN be wrong!"
-
lhslep134"I'm going to address lhslep but say I'm not directly addressing him"
Congratulations on having the maturity of a middle schooler S&L. Maybe tomorrow you can spread a rumor about me at school! -
lhslep134As to your "indirect direct post", the thing I repeated over and over is that the game has zero impact on whether we win or lose the Finals. If you watch Griffin's presser, you'd have realized this was coming for more than just a short while.
So if your point is that I'm wrong because Blatt got fired, that's a terrible argument given the circumstances surrounding Blatt's dismissal. -
Lovejoy1984I can't help but laugh that you guys think that Wiggins would make this team any better. Another chucker on the wing, and the 4th worst defender in basketball, Sign me up!

I'm not saying Wiggins right now makes this team, but he doesn't make them worse. His upside is much higher than Love's, and he has a much better contract.HighRoller74;1777825 wrote:I can't help but laugh that you guys think that Wiggins would make this team any better. Lovejoy1984Contract only matters in terms of luxury tax. Cavs are over the cap, and have limited flexibility either way.
And if we kept everything the same, switching out Love for for Wiggins makes this team worse, much worse. I've explained my POV multiple times in this thread, and frankly don't feel like doing it again, and rehashing the same points. -

I just disagree. Love brings absolutely nothing to the table when we play a team that is anything more than average. Why would you prefer that over a young wing player that has tremendous upside?HighRoller74;1777828 wrote:Contract only matters in terms of luxury tax. I'd prefer not to waste the final 3 years or so of LBJ's prime waiting/hoping/wishing that Wiggins becomes something in this league. At this point, he's a net negative player. So put that on the Cavs, and we're doing worse. Not to mention TT would be our starting PF, providing next to nothing. Just like last night.SportsAndLady;1777834 wrote:I just disagree. I get it, you guys like the Flash of Wiggins, but at this point in the NBA, he's a below average player, putting up Garbage stats, on a Garbage team. Playing zero defense, and not making anyone better. I've watched the majority of the T'Wolves games this year, and he's just nothing special as a player.
He's the #1 scoring option on his team every night, scoring 20pts a game on 17 shots, giving you next to nothing in less than 2 assists, and 4 rebounds per game.
Love is the 3rd or 4th option on the Cavs most nights, Scoring 16 a game on 12 shots, giving you 11 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
You guys harp on Love's defense, and I admit he's not a great defender, but he's about League Average at that position, and when you factor in the Real +/- stat he's graded as the 4th best PF in basketball.
Wiggins on the other hand in 89/90 in defense, and when you factor in the RPM he's the 78th best SG in the league.
These aren't the Classy Eye Test, these are cold hard facts. -
Lovejoy1984Also, as that post was getting a little long.
Have you checked the number of Shots Love is getting during games against good opponents?
GS- 16 (Christmas Day)
SAS- 10
GS- 5
It's hard to place blame on post player not producing in games, when they are barely getting the ball. Especially when our 2 main scorers (LBJ, KI) do most of thier work on dribble drives. -
SportsAndLadyLol waiting for Wiggins to become something? He's already a pretty good player. You can keep pointing to the +- stats and other metrics but if you watch the wolves play you can see he's going to be a special player and is a good player now. Come on man.
-
SportsAndLadyAnd stop pointing to Love's stats. He puts up good numbers against bad teams. What are his stats against great teams? We need Love to be a top option against the GSW and Spurs of the league, and he doesn't show up. We gave him a max contract to be a no show in big games and be a spot up shooter. Not to mention he plays ZERO defense.

Yeah, he's just average now. All the stats and advance metrics point that out
But, keep going by the "eye" test, that you guys consistently bash Classy for.
