I thought it was late and a definite foul (not to say GSW don't set them all the time though), but not the least bit dirty. Kyrie just started the move to quick and Moz was still in his motion to get fully set.SportsAndLady;1798464 wrote:It wasn't dirty. If it was dirty, that abomination of an announcing crew would not have shut up about it.
The screen was fine Klay, it just hurt. You guys just aren't used to screens where the screener is not moving. -
sleeperThe Cavs can absolutely win this series. I'm sticking with my original prediction of Cavs in 6.\
The difference this game and the difference we can hopefully continue the rest of the series is we are attacking more on offense. Even JR Smith woke up and started playing offense.
Defensively, I love the strategy of trapping Curry/Thompson the entire game. It's finally starting to gel nicely and the reserves(remember when I called out Livingston) have finally regressed to their normal levels of average. Livingston is barely relevant anymore so who's supposed to score for the Warriors? Curry is done, Thompson is done; Irving decided to show up.
If Love comes back, bench him. It's pretty apparent that we are simply better off without him and should have kept Wiggins and let Love rot on a garbage team.
Also, LOL @ everyone in this thread saying Lebron is trash; ended the game at 32-11-6 on 53% shooting. He's the best player in the game and he's playing like it. Game 2 I agree, but the whole team was absolute dog shit. -
sleeperAlso saw some chatter that Lebron repeatedly was yelling at his teammates "get the ball to who he's guarding" referencing Curry.
Cavs recognize that you beat Curry by making him play defense. Curry is a terrible defender at best. Attack him. I also loved seeing Lebron guard Curry and being physical with him. -
sleeperI'll also agree with some on here that the refs don't call anything for Lebron. The dude is constantly getting hammered in the paint and only shot 5 FTs in Game 3. If the refs start calling fouls, the games wouldn't even be close and Lebron would average 50ppg.

sleeperAlso, does anyone think Curry is injured and not revealing the injury?
Cavs are playing great defense against him but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Curry's knee was legit F'd. -

Yeah the media gives Curry a free pass and Lebron averages a triple double and people call him trash.SportsAndLady;1798469 wrote:The hypocrisy of the media is coming out in full force.
About steph:
"As good as curry is and how well he can shoot, there has to be something physically wrong with him that he isn't scoring and isn't even shooting."
About Lebron:
"As good as Lebron is, he is choking and can't win in the NBA finals when the pressure is on!"
Again, Curry is a flash in the pan, flavor of the month and will be irrelevant in 2 years. I bet he's done winning MVPs and championships. -
like_thatI was waiting for the sleeper hot takes.
Still gotta win tomorrow in order for me to call this a series. I think Klay and Curry will wake up too unfortunately. -

No, I just think he can't find a rhythm when you constantly put a body on him. Do the exact same thing next game. Push him around early and often. He'll eventually get his points, you just can't let him go off for an entire game.sleeper;1798481 wrote:Also, does anyone think Curry is injured and not revealing the injury?

I think it might be affecting his ability and more so his desire to move without the ball. He is usually pretty good in this regard, but so far this series he's just been standing around on offense. Coupled with the announcement to forego the Olympics and I also won't be surprised to hear a diagnosis after the series. That being said, the playoffs are hard and people get worn down. Sometimes you survive them and sometimes you don't. Last year the Cavs players couldn't even stay on the court. Steph limited to 80% or whatever he is at does not make me feel bad for them at all, and we are doing the right thing by playing him physical and making sure he won't be getting rest anytime this series. I think we can still win it.sleeper;1798481 wrote:Also, does anyone think Curry is injured and not revealing the injury?

Rumor is his MCL is torn and he will have surgery right after the Finals.GOONx19;1798485 wrote:I think it might be affecting his ability and more so his desire to move without the ball. He is moving pretty well for a torn MCL.sleeper;1798487 wrote:Rumor is his MCL is torn and he will have surgery right after the Finals. -

I don't think he is. He's definitely slower and more likely to stand around. He's also lazier on the quick cuts that gets him open(along with the moving screen).like_that;1798488 wrote:He is moving pretty well for a torn MCL. -
vdubb96Lebron's dead ball block on Curry when he was going up for the dunk was a thing of beauty. Best thing of the game.

I think it would be a lot more noticeable if he had a torn MCL.sleeper;1798489 wrote:I don't think he is. He's definitely slower and more likely to stand around. He's also lazier on the quick cuts that gets him open(along with the moving screen). -
Ironman92Curry will probably have knee "surgery" after the series win or lose...as an excuse or to add to the luster
-
sleeper
Maybe. I'm not a knee expert but I have had my fair share of knee injuries. My understanding is there are varying degrees of MCL tears and with a low level tear(and potentially a mid level tear) it is possible to continue to play sports.like_that;1798496 wrote:I think it would be a lot more noticeable if he had a torn MCL.
I think its is noticeable. -
Ironman92If he's good enough to play....no excuses. Every sport has injuries. He was awful in game 1 and Warriors won in a blowout.
Gotta win game 4 -
Ironman92If my knee was affecting my play I wouldn't grab a dead ball and go up for a dunk/lay in
-
Commander of AwesomeCurry does not have a torn MCL.
-
SportsAndLadyOnly on the OC will you find people saying a player has a particular knee injury with not one rumor of that being the case lol
