2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers World Champions!

SonofanumpThe #2 team in the conference won both of their home games. They are a decent team and only finished slightly behind Cleveland in the standings. The sky is not falling yet, Cleveland should get the home calls in game 5 just like Toronto did in the last two games.
-
rrfanbottom line Cleveland was hot and shooting great from the outside and getting all kinds of shots in the paint. Last two games bombing threes and missing and not getting into the lane. Need to get back on track soon or it will be to late. What a difference two games makes.

Azubuike24There's no pressure on Toronto because nobody expected them to win the series, nobody expected them to even make the ECF and after the first 2 games, nobody expected them to not get swept.
Of course, this is an over-the-top reaction to how badly the Cavs beat their asses in game 1 and game 2, and clearly, the Raps responded by not folding, but punching back.
I still have my doubts about them having any chance at all to win this series, but if they are going to do it, it's going to be by riding this momentum and stealing game 5. Even if it goes 7, they aren't closing out a series on the Cavs home floor. -

I hate that shit. "There's no pressure on team _____, they weren't expected to win!"Azubuike24;1796913 wrote:There's no pressure on Toronto because nobody expected them to win the series, nobody expected them to even make the ECF and after the first 2 games, nobody expected them to not get swept.

Maybe they aren't expected to win, but NO pressure? They're one of the last four teams left and the entire country (hell, two countries) are watching them. There's A LOT of pressure on Toronto. Especially since no one besides Joseph has been here before.
Your second paragraph is exactly right. The Cavs looked so good on their home court, everyone was expecting Toronto to just lay down. They're a good team and no one expected a four game series...well, besides sleeper but he doesn't even watch the games. -
like_thatYeah, it's a tied series in the ECF. GTFO with this no pressure bs.
If the cavs choke this away it will be the most disappointing choke job of any Cleveland team imo.
Some type of adjustment needs to be made and they can't come out like a bunch of pieces of shit in the first half. Why not dust off moz? At least that would force Lowry and derozan change up their shots. Cavs literally just need to stop one of them. -

I'd still think Mesa in '97 & being up 3-1 on Boston in '07.like_that;1796915 wrote: If the cavs choke this away it will be the most disappointing choke job of any Cleveland team imo. -

Mesa for sure, but the cavs were heavily favored to win the east.Sonofanump;1796916 wrote:I'd still think Mesa in '97 & being up 3-1 on Boston in '07. -
Benny The JetBeing a 13 year old in '97 and having season tickets...that game 7 was a killer. Can remember Dad telling us we could skip school to go to the parade heading into bottom of 9th. That would trump this by far for me.

Thread ban? LOLSportsAndLady;1796888 wrote:Again, can we get a thread ban for sleeper?
Remember when we posted that idiots comments on that raptors message board? I'm sure some raptors message board had sleepers dumbass comments copied on there -
sleeperWell we are in quite the battle. The Raptors decided to show up and play hoops and the Cavs took their foot off the pedal.
I'll go ahead and blame Love, for once again, not showing up to play this series. How many wide open 3 pointers does this guy get to miss? Hopefully we begin to regress back to the mean with our 3-point shooting and have a Game 5 blow out. -

I can't help that Love decided to shit the bed and score 15 points over 2 games on shit shooting %.SportsAndLady;1796925 wrote:Yeah.

Any time you make predictions on future events you have to make assumptions to control the variables. My assumption was that Love was going to play how he has currently played so far in the playoffs and not shit the bed.
Let me know when you get a real job that relies on thinking rather than sales. Thread ban? That's what poor people ask for. Enjoy! -

Well your assumptions suck. You're going to assume Love is going to all of a sudden not suck? That's a fail on you. Let me know when you have a real job and don't make retarded assumptions. like_thatI'm still fucking pissed about the game, but I will be somewhat positive. I think the cavs figured something out in the 4th. It had he feeling of game 3 of the finals last year when the Warriors figured it out but it was too much to overcome for that game.

The assumption that Love falls off the map would be harder to justify than keeping Love at his current state. I would need a reason to pull him out of the equation and explain why I expect him to score 3 points and miss every 3.SportsAndLady;1796927 wrote:Well your assumptions suck. Anyways, you work in sales. I'm not going to discuss modeling with a sales person. Keep lobbying for that thread ban though! -

Lol you have no idea what I do. Maybe its sales. Maybe it's not. Maybe I make more than you. All of that is just a ploy to escape your retarded sports predictions. You made ONE good prediction (read:guess) after the osu loss to Va Tech and now you think you know it all lol and you use retarded paper logic and you think you can control variables in sports LOL enjoy your consulting job, with 60 hour work weeks and $100k salary and keep trying to think the work you do is relevant to sports. It's not. You suck at anything to do with sports. Keep it on the religion threads where you still have some worth. -

Midstate01I still can't believe the 3 shots that Toronto hit in a row after the cavs got the lead. Just incredibly tough, bad shots that went in. Cavs got no calls in the 4th, derozen and lowry both went off, cavs played practically no defense, couldn't hit a shot for 2 1/2 quarters.. still could have won.
Lue has been over thinking to me. He played different lineups, didn't take lebron out for his normal rests.

Eh, ya don't need to really worry. The NBA didn't want another 4-0 series to go along with a long 6-7 set out west. Two extra games at the very least is quite a bit of money for the league and also for the teams involved with extra home games.sleeper;1796924 wrote:Well we are in quite the battle. Expect business as usual for the Cavs in game 5 and expect them to have the 3-2 lead heading into Toronto and that is when it gets interesting and the league gets hands-off with the outcomes. They don't want Toronto in the finals and out west GS is their golden child but they realize it is a competitive enough series they will let the games just play out. -

Right the NBA is fixed and gave Toronto Game 3 and Game 4.thavoice;1796937 wrote:Eh, ya don't need to really worry. The NBA didn't want another 4-0 series to go along with a long 6-7 set out west. No, for the Cavs to start playing poorly.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1796976 wrote:so you think the word came down to Toronto to start hitting shots eh?
Doesn't matter though. The league got what they were looking for with 2 extra games. When you see Clev dispatch Toronto easily to finish it out you will see what I am talking about.
Have to be pretty stoked though about the real possibility of the Cavs having home court for the finals. Not sure many expected that to happen. -
like_thatOh yay, now thavoice is bringing his "reverse jinx" act to the cavs thread.

Midstate01Cavs talking about being calm and not worried today at shoot around, they better play like it tonight!
