Will Brady be punished?

GOONx19I don't give a shit about any of this evidence conversation, but the fact that Brady was suspended a single second is a poor judgment by the league, IMO.

No one said anything about testimony.Laley23;1728832 wrote:How does someone say that the text messages and testimony are not circumstantial evidence?
It may be weak as hell, but it's there. -

WebFireThe Wells report in the Conclusion section, paragraph 13, page 228 states, the following, " In sum, the data did not provide us a basis for us to determine with absolute certainty whether there was or was not tampering as analysis of such data ultimately is dependent upon assumptions and information that is not certain."
Enough said. -

Because Webbie has absolutely no comprehension of what circumstantial evidence is, duh.Laley23;1728832 wrote:How does someone say that the text messages and testimony are not circumstantial evidence?
Yet we're all wrong here and Webbie is right :RpS_lol: -

That's the definition of circumstantial evidence. LOL at you thinking otherwise.WebFire;1728844 wrote:The Wells report in the Conclusion section, paragraph 13, page 228 states, the following, " In sum, the data did not provide us a basis for us to determine with absolute certainty whether there was or was not tampering as analysis of such data ultimately is dependent upon assumptions and information that is not certain."

And for another text "explanation", they said something along the line of just because one person referred to "tom" in his text and the reply said "he", that doesn't mean "he" equals "tom" and that was actually referring to a completely different person.BR1986FB;1728915 wrote:Good God....Pats are REALLY reaching here.....

wildcats20@AP: BREAKING: NFL: Commissioner Roger Goodell will hear the appeal of Tom Brady's suspension
Makes total sense -
Lovejoy1984They should just go ahead and skip this step, and go right to court.

Circumstantial evidence still has to lead you to information that is certain enough to make an assumption. Again, the texts do not lead to information that allows you to make assumptions that are being assumed. We can ONLY assume Tom is a dick and likes less air in the ball than what was provided.lhslep134;1728856 wrote:That's the definition of circumstantial evidence. LOL at you thinking otherwise.

TiernanThe majority of OC idiots and radio call-in dumbasses will never take the time to read the Pat's context reply to the Wells Report...in their eyes Brady is a cheater and should be hung from his deflated balls. In reality this man should be applauded for standing up to a witch hunt perpetuated by petty jealousy because all the guy does is wins wins wins and Fuchs the hottest chicks on the planet. I can identify with that.

Interestingly enough, you posted this in about the exact style I'd expect a radio call-in dumbass to sound when calling in their opinion, at least in the NE part of the country.Tiernan;1729174 wrote:The majority of OC idiots and radio call-in dumbasses will never take the time to read the Pat's context reply to the Wells Report...in their eyes Brady is a cheater and should be hung from his deflated balls. TiernanDid you read it Hairydic? The context rebuttal punches so many holes in the Wells Report that Goodell should be fired (again) for his total lack of effective management. He is using this entire episode to deflect attention away from all the ineptitude he is responsible for the past couple of years. Brady is wasting his time appealing to this Clown, Goodell is gonna railroad ya man.
-
SportsAndLadyHave a feeling goodell chose to be the person to hear the appeal so he can have Brady win the appeal and get some good publicity for once.

I've read both and I think the Patriots rebuttal is much better than the Wells report, except for the whole "deflator" being about weight loss BS.Tiernan;1729188 wrote:Did you read it Hairydic?
