Not really. My understanding is that a douchebag serves a purpose.
  • GoChiefs
Remember..Capone is the guy that spent all that time looking at Ochocinco's asshole. ;)

Truth hurts Brown fans. Dont take the furniture out of the cellar yet because that'll be your room again this year.

    *yawn*

You Steelers fans called me crazy in November when I said you wouldn't be in the playoffs and Big Ben would be chillin' in Findlay... Guess I was wrong... Darn...

You better worry about your Steelers getting above .500 in the division

Browns gave in way too much on the Cribbs deal IMO

I agree, but unlike baseball, only part of that is guaranteed. I compare this deal to the Hafner deal with the tribe, since both are "specialty" players. The nice thing about this is that after paying the 7.5 mil, if he doesn't preform, you can unload his contract. The Indians have been paying Hafner for years and he sucks balls.

As good as Cribbs performed last year, with all of the distractions of his contract, he should be that much better this year. Nothing to worry about. He should have a great year. (not that he didn't last year)

No shit. If he returns 5 TD's this year is he going to ask them to "tear up the contract?"

I lost a WHOLE lot of respect for Cribbs and the way he and his agents handled this. Holmgren probably hadn't even found the seat in his office and he was already being Pearl Harbor'd by Cribbs and his agent.
  • Writerbuckeye
I also lost a lot of respect for Cribbs for letting his agent nuke the Browns the way they did.

Glad he's got a new deal and hope he's worth it. If not, cut his sorry ass. That's how the game is played.

I am Ok with it i guess. Absolutely no renegotiating this contract until it is completed though. If the Browns are willing to pay him that kind of money, the orginization isnt hurting to bad financially.

This. Cribbs acted like a giant baby. He better play his ass off this year.

He played his ass off last year, in my opinion, under seemingly stressful circumstances. Or at least they'd been stressful for the likes of T.O., Randy Moss, etc. My point is, at least he done everything he could to help the Browns win. It'd been hard to do seeing as if it seems like Mangini did everything he could NOT to give the ball to Cribbs.

What are everyone's thoughts on possibly bringing in Jake Delhome (spelling?)?

Good God....friggin Ravens just got Anquan Boldin
  • buckeyes_woowee

Nobody questions what he did or his heart. Dude went about this in a piss poor way. His new boss is on the job THREE days and he's pulling the 3 year old "I'm running away from home. I'm going....I'm leaving....you'll NEVER see me again." Bullshit. Let Holmgren settle in and THEN go talk to him like a MAN, not a whiny little bitch.

    And NO to Delomme....

Yeah the Steelers had a terrible year and they still finished 9-7 and ahead of the Browns, which they've done every season since 1989.
