Sour Grapes regarding the Steelers

    No sept, they were probably adults, with child like minds though. Let's see, my favorite teams are, the Yankees, the Steelers, the Lakers, (or Celtics, depends on who's good that year), My Favorite college teams are, USC or Florida, depends, I really like North Carolina in BBall, used to be Florida but that was only for two years, sometimes I cheer for Duke also, my Favorite college baseball team is LSU, no wait, who won the college world series last year? I can't remember, but whoever it is, that's my favorite.

    I never said anything about being 7 and an ND fan. I've been an ND fan my entire life. Syracuse hoops as long as I've been watching college hoops (1991).

    If I was going to be some big bandwagon jumper....I think I'd pick better teams than one who has won 1 bowl game since '94 and another team that was recently in the NIT two years in a row. How is an ND/'Cuse combo "the best one"? I think the OSU football/UNC or Kansas hoops fans would be "better" ones.

    Did I mention that I'm a New York Knicks fan too? Have fun with that one, stalker.

    I have no problem with a kid who's parents really had no ties to teams choose any damn team they want as long as they stick with that team. A true bandwagoner is people like the Tampa Bay Rays fans who didn't even know the team existed until they got good.

    Which explains why I'm a diehard Pirates fan too and always will be. Moron. Yep, I'm a bandwagoner.

    skank....here's the definition of a bandwagoner:

    In sports, someone who shamelessly cheers for a particular team not because he likes them or follows them faithfully, but only because that particular team is the "popular" choice or has been or is the top team in their specific sport recently. When that team which bandwagoners follow falls from grace, they gleefully jump on the next teams bandwagon and cheer for that team.

    Considering the fact that i've liked the Steelers since I was a kid and i've continued to like the Buckeyes and Braves every year, that means I do not qualify as a bandwagoner. Also, when my teams don't play up to par, I willingly accept it. I've admitted numerous times that the Steelers didn't deserve a playoff berth this year - you can't expect to compete for a championship when your cornerbacks don't produce an interception until the last regular season game, you blow 5 4th quarter leads, and lose to 3 of the worst teams in the NFL. I flat out admit it, the Steelers had a bad year, but I still backed them and watched every game. Sorry pal, but obviously you can't comprehend what a bandwagoner is or what constitutes qualifying as one. Your outlook is far too limited to just admit you are wrong. I'm sorry that these are the teams I like, but I sure as hell am not going to change them because some ignorant SOB tells me I have to cheer for a certain team. I wish your Browns the best of luck next season. I'm glad to see that they are headed in the right direction and are making improvements. Their 4-0 finish should help carry over into next season. I am no longer going to argue with you about who you want me to like, but will be the bigger person and just step aside.

    Because investing that amount of time, thought, etc. into fucking college sports isn't sad or childlike. Having a life outside of watching 18-22 year olds playing football is a start...

    Yep. With the football season over for me, I'm getting prepared now to follow the "hot" Pittsburgh Pirates, as they look to add to their pro sports record-holding consecutive losing seasons streak. Obviously bandwagon work here for me to cheer on these record-holders.

    Since whenever I first started following baseball. Rick Reuschel and Rick Rhoden were pitching for the team then and they were pretty blah in the NL East (back when there were only four baseball divisions). Then they got a bunch of good players and made three straight NL Championship series after a few years. Then all those players left and they've sucked since then.

    I dunno. At least for this year, I might want to be on the Nets bandwagon. They're the hottest one in the NBA with all the success they've been having this year.

    Back in the early 90's when everybody was on the Bulls and Jordan's jock. I loved how physical the Knicks played. Players like Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, John Starks, Derek Harper, Patrick Ewing, Charles Smith, etc. They were brawlers. But back then....players like that actually had mid-range jumpers. I still have nightmares about Starks' Game 7 performance against the Rockets in the 1994 NBA Finals. Dammit.
