He has been great since the coaching switch. I think I could've won my FF league with him playing like this, but I started the season 1-7 and finished 1 win out.

Good listen regarding Haden and his concussion issues.

I remember when Crosby was out for extended time, a lot of idiots were questioning his desire to play also.

The five only came because of the Steelers whining. Bengals should do the same about the eye gouge from Castro.

    Decastro was also fined.

    He should be suspended.

If pacman didn't get suspended for smashing coopers head to his helmet, then decastro won't be suspended. I do find it funny and not surprising that the steelers are crybaby hypocrites once again though.

Talib got suspended for an eye gouge. The Steelers have different rules than everyone else.
Also i agree that Adam Jones should have been booted for the Cooper stuff.
  • Ironman92
Any and all eye gougers should be suspended. Anyone purposely going at head or knees should be suspended as well.

No one should purposely getting injured. You make millions of dollars, control yourself. No players, teams exceptions.

    It's a conspiracy boys!!!

They all got fined, all deserved.

    Who's crying?

If the NFL truly cared about concussions, an illegal hit that causes a concussion would be an automatic suspension that lasts as long as the concussed player is out.
  • Automatik
    Good though, won't ever happen.

I'd like to know on average how many concussions are actually the result of an "illegal" hit.

Which is really why I don't get it when people start crying with the "the NFL is turning into a touch football league" when talking about the QB's.

I'm as old school as it gets but the league should do everything in it's power to protect the QB's. High scoring is usually what "sells" and I can count on a half a finger the people who want to see Charlie Whitehurst vs Matt Hasselbeck-lead teams on MNF because their starters are out with injuries.

These "overly protective" rules are just better for fan viewership, in the long run.

I agree but i think the other 21 players on the field should get some of the same protections. Ice seen Dalton dice at defensive player's knees when he is blocking for the reverse. No one ever says a word about that.

    No low blocks. Period.

Oh, I know. Anything that looks blatant and can cause an injury (intentionally) should be looked at.

As far as the Dalton thing, I didn't play professional ball but in HS, on the O-Line, we were taught to chop block when we'd run a "pop" pass (quick throw over the D-Line to a TE. The idea of the chop block wasn't to take out their knees but to go low and make the defender drop their hands to avoid batted down balls. I'm sure when I QB goes low like that it's to derail the player from making the play more than intentionally trying to take out a knee.

    Who's crying?

The rapist cried about vontaze's hit, the whole team cried about bells knee (some) threatening to kill him, and just last year they bitched about the Browns "cut blocking." This is the same franchise and fan base that jerked off to Hines wards dirty blind side hits (breaking rivers jaw), all of Harrison's illegal hits, and their coach blatantly cheating. All this shit is the same as the shit they bitch about except it's ok because "BLUE COLLAR TOUGH STEEL CITY FOOTBALL!!!!"

I think vontaze is easily a top 10 piece of shit in the NFL and somehow the steelers made it easy for me to side with him.
