2015 NFL Regular Season Chatter

fish82Pretty fun seeing Jordan Hicks get the chance to do some damage.

Ironman92For you OSU fans...Ryan Shazier was a complete force today. He was everywhere and physical...loved it. Knocked himself out of the game late busting a receiver

friendfromlowryI think the Bengals should win next week in Baltimore and at home vs KC the following week. Not sure what their "come back to earth" game will be like New England last year. Maybe Seattle week 5?

Getting ahead of yourself there. Two tough games. Baltimore is going to play like their season is on the line at their first home game, and the Chiefs are going to be tough all year.friendfromlowry;1752095 wrote:I think the Bengals should win next week in Baltimore and at home vs KC the following week. Chiefs are far better at home typically as that place is a tough ass win....my Steelers get to go there and Zi have that booked for an Llike_that;1752096 wrote:Getting ahead of yourself there. I agree, but they are still a tough team this year. I am just saying, FFL is definitely getting ahead of himself by penciling in those 2 wins. I could understand if they were playing 2 shitty teams, but they aren't. Baltimore got a raw deal to start the year. Back to back games on the west coast.Ironman92;1752099 wrote:Chiefs are far better at home typically as that place is a tough ass win....my Steelers get to go there and Zi have that booked for an L -
like_thatI think the main theme of this week, just like every season is not to overreact after one week of football. After last week the Bills were somehow already AFC East favorites, Mariotta already a superstar franchise QB, the niners a much tougher team than anyone thought, etc.

I think we are both a hell of a lot happier after this week though.like_that;1752108 wrote:I think the main theme of this week, just like every season is not to overreact after one week of football. They showed the next 5 games for the Steelers and it's not murderers row but it has me worried because I think they are all pretty tough games even though I think my team is better than most predicted. -

That's fair. I wasn't penciling in wins, but I do think the Bengals should win. If they lose one or both then I'll admit I was wrong.like_that;1752104 wrote:I agree, but they are still a tough team this year. IggyPride00Demarco Murray has 21 carries for 11 yards this year.
Chip's system is really working for him. Murray must be thrilled at his decision to leave Dallas where he had over 1800 yards last year. -

I could see them winning both, but I also could see them losing both. Either result won't surprise me.friendfromlowry;1752111 wrote:That's fair. I wasn't penciling in wins, but I do think the Bengals should win. If they lose one or both then I'll admit I was wrong. -

42 team rushing yards doesnt help. Another year of bad enough to have a losing record and not bad enough to get a decent draft pick.robj55;1752074 wrote:New year same shit with the Dolphins, losing to teams they should easily beat. 14 penalties didn't help.

The offensive line continues to be an issue, can't run or pass block for shit. Tannehill is great but can only do so much with no time to do anything. He's been sacked more than anyone in the league over the last 3 years. The defensive line was supposed to be our strength and it has been more than underwhelming so far. Looks like another 8-8 year where we miss the playoffs by 1 game. If that happens, Philbin and Coyle need to go.j_crazy;1752158 wrote:42 team rushing yards doesnt help. Azubuike24Arizona and Cincinnati could be the deepest and most well-rounded teams this year.
You would never know it by the mainstream media who only talks Eagles, Cowboys, Jets, Patriots, Giants, Packers and Seahawks. -
Ironman92
I'm with you and it's irritating but I think Lewis/Dalton keep them from the forefront a bit also....I don't think the media believes they are a contender and Cincy is only getting heavy talk (Jet love we'll call it) if they are a proven heavy contender.Azubuike24;1752314 wrote:Arizona and Cincinnati could be the deepest and most well-rounded teams this year.

Azubuike24Neither team, especially Bengals have made noise in the playoffs, but I think both getting to the playoffs last year despite devastating injuries was downplayed. If they stay relatively healthy, I'm not sure I'd really bet against them.
I mean, New England has looked like the defending champs. However, every other pre-season contender has struggled or looked unimpressive. The NFC is a joke. The AFC I think has a lot more tough games week to week and a lot more overall contenders. -

You always get your panties in a bunch early in the season with the bengals.Azubuike24;1752314 wrote:Arizona and Cincinnati could be the deepest and most well-rounded teams this year.

Packers? Cowboys? Cardinals? All 2-0 and had preseason hype.Azubuike24;1752325 wrote:Neither team, especially Bengals have made noise in the playoffs, but I think both getting to the playoffs last year despite devastating injuries was downplayed. You're butthurt buike. The bengals don't get respect because they haven't earned it. They are an automatic loss in the playoffs, so why hype them up? -

Not to mention it is 2 fucking games and we are already labeling legitimate contenders and pretenders? LOL. Remember when everyone wrote off the Pats last year?SportsAndLady;1752331 wrote:Packers? Cowboys? Cardinals? All 2-0 and had preseason hype.

AutomatikJets somewhat legit or Indy just playing god awful?
-
SportsAndLadyJets are legit in that they play great defense, and have a QB who can manage the game. They're basically the Chiefs. Won't ever win anything.
-
like_thatJets have a tough front 7 (this is without sheldon richardson too). They may not make the playoffs, but they are going to make it tough for any team to beat them.
-
friendfromlowryCan't believe how miserable Indianapolis has looked.
