Hey Johnny Bashers...Name That Quarter5back

  • Tiernan
I'm actually pulling for Shaw to look great and win this game which would pretty much kill whatever remains of the legend-that-never-was.

Just days after he said he was going to take things more seriously, Johnny missed the team walk through.

Cue Foot/Iggy spinning this into a "well, of course, the team has crippled his poor self-esteem, so he sees no point in going through the motions" thing.

Both Gordon and Manziel missed the walk through?
  • Tiernan
Check 'em both for smokin da ganja...what a bunch of losers, it's almost too easy to ridicule these idiots.

We should start a "guess what Iggy's response will be" thread where we post our guesses of how iggy will respond to Cleveland related news.

Manziel is on IR, so walkthrough was not mandatory for him, according to some people on Twitter.

It may have not been mandatory, but he just got done saying how he was going to take things more seriously. He clearly doesn't understand the offense and his work ethic has been terrible. He should be doing everything he can to improve.

    It just doesn't matter anymore.

The steelers were horrible before the arrival of that nucleus of players. To compare the two..........eh, you are out in left field with this one.

but if you seem to think the browns front office will bring in a HoF coach, HoF QB, HoF RB, 2 HoF Wr's, 4 HoF defenders, a HoF center, to surround Jhonny Futbol and bring 4 SB's then more power to ya.
Not digginf deep at all. Bradshaw was 10 times worse than Manziel. Back then, the NFL ran the NFL follies and Bradshaw made at least half the clips. Not only did he have a 6-24 td to pick ratio, he was famous for cocking his arm back and have the ball fly backwards 10 yards. He won 4 SuperBowls. I listed 5 quarterbacks that are either HOFers or future HOFers who were all just as bad or a lot worse than Manziel.

    Here are a few more...

Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath over his first 2 years completed less than 49% of his passes and threw 42 picks vs. 37 touchdowns in the pass happy AFL.

Bernie Kosar, voted the Browns 25th greatest player. completed 50% of his passes his first year, 8 tD's and 7 picks,

Drew Breez, a probable future HOFer threw 31 picks and only 28 touchdown passes over his first 2 seasons. Oh...and they all clamored for cutting him because he was...only 6 foot tall.

Cleveland will run Manziel's ass out of town because themnedia know it alls are claiming he can't play in this league....after 7 fuggin quarters.

    I didn't need 7...I called it after 2.

This party that Manziel hosted is pretty bad. You can't wait 3 more days to boogie down? Given all the extenuating circumstances right now, I can't defend Johnny on this one. Gordon and Gilbert, just shaking my head.

Connor Shaw has showed some good things so far. One of his 3 and outs earlier was a case of getting Manzieled by Hawkins on a pass that hit him in the hands.

I don't think we need to worry about the media running JFF out of town... He's doing it all by himself. SMH.

So far Shaw having a typical rookie game with high spots and low spots ... But at least there are some high spots .

Manziel is a cancer that needs to be cut out, and it'll be interesting to see how this pos is dealt with in the off season.
  • HitsRus
Yeah...it's getting beyond his playing ability and turning into a character issue that is becoming impossible to ignore or rationalize.

Agreed. There is no excuse for what he did. I probably would have given him somewhat of a pass here....nothing illegal about throwing a party....except he was too hung over to come in for his rehab assignment.

Not to mention he had just trolled everyone by saying he was going to take it more seriously.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Manziel, Gordon are trying to get cut. They realize they aren't going to win jack here with the regime that is in place.

Getting cut allows them to sign with a good team and avoid the non-sense that Cleveland has to offer.

No good team would want Manziel.

Manziel isn't going to win jack with any regime.

After thinking about this for a few hours, I think it's time to get rid of all 3 of them. Their trade value is lower than what it should be, but for the best interest of the team, it's time to cut bait. And the one that pisses me off the most...Manziel...there I said it. I still think the guy is an incredible talent, but given all of the extenuating circumstances. he truly is a fucking idiot in getting so shitfaced that he couldn't honor his responsibilities on Saturday.

If he grows up, he will get a great opportunity...somewhere. I'm thinking that he will never grow up.
