  Really Pluto? Based on his 6 quarters? Let's review what Johnny did.

  I bottom lined it for you earlier in the thread Wedge...7 quarters.... 10 points...and he got himself hurt.
  
  Nobody is railroading him out of town, by saying he needs work to be an NFL QB. He can't /wouldn't be able to/ and he didn't, throw his shoes on the field and "wreck this league."
  Now he isn't going to show us anything this Sunday due to a very poor decision to put his head down and try to get a meaningless yard against a linebacker and a safety in the Carolina game. That means he's going to have to work hard and put more than the minimum in this off season, and show something at training camp and preseason if he wants to be starting QB. This is the NFL. These are the pros, and I would not expect ANYTHING less.

  Footwedge is so good at cherry-picking any little detail (usually while using lots of adjectives to overstate his take) that supports his opinion while ignoring all the stuff working against it that, if anything, he should spend more time on the Poli forum, where that's pretty much mandatory if you want to fit in.

  Apparently you didn't read Pluto's article today. 6 quarters....he's done. As in outta here.... can't play...finito...horrid...putrid. If Pluto says it, has to be true. Also, Manziel did not get hurt diving for theextra yard. He hurt his hammy on the botched catch by Gordon that was overturned.

  Moreover, he's a rookie. Down 17 points to Cincy and then he panicked. That second quarter was horrible...but the rest has been fine.
  
  Igvgypridewas absolutely right. Manziel should have been playing the whole season and by now he would be in fine fashion. Instead we were treated to the brian Horror show, and Manziel did not get the needed experience.

  Then what the hell was he doing running a sprint out to the left on first and ten?....why didn't he just run out of bounds instead of taking on 500 pounds of defense running at full speed? Usually a good idea to let your trainer and coach know you tweaked a hammy.
  
  That said, Johnny is done for the year, and I look forward to see him EARN his spot next year.
  I also see this as an opportunity to see Connor Shaw and what he can do. Could be pretty interesting next year if he finds a way to beat the Ratbirds.

  No the rest has not been fine, he isn't putting points on the board and is struggling to even move the chains and get first downs. He is not ready to play QB in the NFL, doesn't have the skill set.

  It just funny. 3 weeks ago footwedge and iggy were saying how Manziel was going to come in, lead us to three straight wins we'd miss the playoffs, all of Cleveland would be calling for pettines head and all us OCers would be crawling back to iggy and footwedge asking for forgiveness. Oh how two weeks can change everything. Now it's Manziel needs years. I in no way hate JFF love the guy and hope he pans out. But you two sucking his dick on how great he was going to be, just makes me laugh. It took you two weeks to comeback here, that makes me laugh too.

  Did you wear your skirt today? Remember how you felt the need to apologize to the masses here whenever you stated how excite you were to watch Manziel start his first game?
  
  Manziel will eventually wreck this league, but I doubt if he gets the opportunity to do it here. If he does play here next year, he needs to work on sprinting down the field and catching his own passes. I've never seen so many perfectly thrown throws dropped on third down. In 13 games, Hoyer had what? 5 dropped balls? With the way the o line played, the receivers played and the way the defense played, it was almost as if Joe Thomas sent out an internal memo to make sure the rookie quarterback looked bad.
  
  Manziel over his 6 quarters was 13 for 28. His numbers should have been a respectable 17 for 28....with a lot more production coming after 4 third down conversions.

  I clearly pointed out that it was much more than Manziel that was responsible for the offensive ineptness. You can believe whatever you want to. I cited 5 examples of how superstar quarterbacks started their career worse than Manziel. I could site 5 more if you want. Should have rookie head coach, Chuck Nol,l shit canned Terry Bradshaw after his first year? He threw 6 TD's and 24 picks. His completion percentage was 38%. Was he "ready to play in the NFL"?
  
  The biggest common denominator with Bradshaw/s performance and Manziel's performance is that they both played for pathetically bad offenses. Oh BTW. Bradshaw's bust is in Canton...and he retired with a 4-0 record in Super Bowls.

  Here are a few QBs that were undrafted, much like Connor Shaw.....
  Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, Dave Krieg, Tony Romo.
