Browns End of 2014 Season Thread (Iggy-free)
-
FootwedgeThe Browns and Manziel will run the table, finish 10-6, and likely miss the playoffs. I will be pissed off for 8 months. And...with that reality staring us in the face, there are still assholes that are defending Kojak in starting the 27th rated quarterback in the league last Sunday. (31st now)
For those that think the Browns are close to controlling their own destiny...better think again. As for winning the division, the ONLY way the Browns control their own destiny going into week 17....Pittsburgh loses at a 5-8 Atlanta team...AND loses again at home against KC....AND the Bengals lose their 3rd game in a row in a home tilt against Denver. Highly unlikely. There is a scenario that the Browns can control their own destiny in landing a wild card berth leading up to the Baltimore game as well...but a whole bunch of shit has to go right as well.
No...Pettine ruined the season this year plain and simple. And fuck all those Brian Horror knob polishers that in my view are complicit in wrecking what should have been a banner season.
Thanks again Kojak for being a coward and placating the Horror nuthuggers. -

Pittsburgh will win a lot of the tiebreakers if it comes down to it. They have a 7-3 AFC record which is tied with the colts and only bettered by NE. If the steelers dont win the division that will come up huge. Sucks when they were beaten by TB and NO, but a loss vs the NFC isnt always as damaging as a loss to a AFC can be. Browns are 4-6 vs the AFC andthat puts them behind a few teams.Footwedge;1684469 wrote:The Browns and Manziel will run the table, finish 10-6, and likely miss the playoffs. BR1986FBIf Manziel comes out and sucks ass against Cincy, someone is going to take a verbal beating......

Unlike those pieces of shits who aren't real fans, I won't be happy to gloat about manziels performance. I don't care if hitler is our QB, I will be rooting for him to bring a win.BR1986FB;1684487 wrote:If Manziel comes out and sucks ass against Cincy, someone is going to take a verbal beating...... -

I was talking about on here. There's been a lot of talk about Manziel being the "second coming" and about how he'd "lead the Browns to the playoffs." I want him to succeed too but if he looks more like his second drive against Buffalo than his first, the few posters on here who said it are going to hear about it, I'm sure. It's one thing to do what I did in backing a crappy QB like Weeden. It's completely another to dub Manziel a "future Hall of Famer" and have over the top claims, etc.like_that;1684488 wrote:Unlike those pieces of shits who aren't real fans, I won't be happy to gloat about manziels performance. We are playing against the only QB in the NFL that is capable of playing worse than Hoyer.BR1986FB;1684487 wrote:If Manziel comes out and sucks ass against Cincy, someone is going to take a verbal beating...... -
BR1986FBGood news....
RT @JayGlazer:
Breaking: Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer have been informed that Manziel will in fact be the starter this week. ‪#‎Scoopage -

I think it will give them a spark for the last few games. If they can get enough wins and tiebreakers to make the playoffs is up in the air or not, but he will inject energy into that offense.BR1986FB;1684494 wrote:Good news....

Agreed. Even that jackass Booms was wishing injury on Hoyer, on the air, about a week ago.....friggin turdslike_that;1684495 wrote:I'm just saying I won't find happiness out of our players' failures like our resident fuck heads. -

I think he will do so more with his feet and his scrambling. Those two deep balls that Hoyer missed, I have to wonder if JFF hits them? I also think this will help get Josh Gordon's head out of his ass. The Josh Gordon I saw on Sunday I don't want on this team. The Josh Gordon I saw last year? Hell yes!thavoice;1684498 wrote:I think it will give them a spark for the last few games. lhslep134I can guarantee only one thing about this game: people are going to overreact to Manziel's first career start.

Hopefully he tears it up and throws the money sign in marvins face. -

Marvin is so clueless he'd wouldn't get it. He'd think Manziel was asking for a tissue.like_that;1684503 wrote:Lol yup.

If you think Browns fans are happy with Hoyer's failures you are delusional. You play the best players...especially at quarterback. It's a simple concept to grasp, really.like_that;1684495 wrote:I'm just saying I won't find happiness out of our players' failures like our resident fuck heads. -

69% completion rate on his resume indicates pretty solidly that he'll hit people 10 yards in the clear.BR1986FB;1684500 wrote:I think he will do so more with his feet and his scrambling. The Browns fans are finally going to see a glimpse of what quality quarterback play is.
Next year barring injury, Manziel will rank 15th or higher (compare that with 31st) next season. Probably rank in the top 10...even as a red shirt rookie. Care to wager?
Manziel will make rookie mistakes. When the center hikes the ball on the wrong snap count and hits the quarterback in the knees, it's going to be blamed on rookie mistakes. I'm good with that. -
BR1986FBGotta be able to read a defense, which I'm VERY skeptical that he can. As I said before he came in the league, he's going to have to play a lot of "schoolyard ball" (Fran Tarkenton, if you will) by scrambling around, buying time, until guys are WIDE open because of that weakness (reading defenses).
-
FootwedgeListening to Baskin and Phelps...and Baskin was saying that Hoyer had a successful season. You can't make this shit up folks. Brian Hoyer not only ruined his chance for "starter's money", he will be completely out of football next season. He has exceeded even my expectations in horrible football play.
-
BR1986FBFor a journeyman 2nd string QB, Hoyer probably DID have a successful season. It wasn't Peyton Manning-like but for a career backup, it's about what one would expect.

He ranks 31st in the league. If that's your definition of success, knock yourself out. Like I said, Hoyer will be selling windows for Universal Direct next season.BR1986FB;1684526 wrote:For a journeyman 2nd string QB, Hoyer probably DID have a successful season. If you are such the righteous Browns fan that you claim to be, you would be ripping the crap out of Pettine for starting Hoyer last week.like_that;1684495 wrote:I'm just saying I won't find happiness out of our players' failures like our resident fuck heads. -

Better watch out, someone on the OC is sending posts to employers... -

I wasn't a fan of Pettine starting Hoyer last week but I do see the method to his madness. What was inexcusable was leaving that ham & egger in the game when it was clear he was a sinking ship. Apparently, everyone in the city of Cleveland got that memo except Pettine.Footwedge;1684550 wrote:If you are such the righteous Browns fan that you claim to be, you would be ripping the crap out of Pettine for starting Hoyer last week. -
