Cleveland @ Carolina Week 16

My first time creating a game thread, lets see what kind of luck I've got.

    Go Browns!

Big game for Carolina and a big game for Manziel

Hopefully Manziel and company plays better. But I won't expect much. I see the team packing it in. I expect Haden Gipson Dansby to be shutdown for the year. I don't expect to win this game. Bit hope to see growth from Manziel start gelling with our recievers

I wish it was just about him gelling with our receivers.

    Go Browns.

Manzell will be much better, seriously, how could he be worse? Being on the road will help him I htink as the pressure was too intense playing in front of his home crowd. I expect him to be much, much better.

Good enough to beat a Derek ANderson led Panther team? THat will be tough to do.

    Browns!

Some people on Twitter questioning if Manziel was in NYC on Saturday at the Heisman ceremony. Supposedly there is some sort of Youtube video where he said he was in NYC.

    Who cares if he was?
  • Ironman92
Very few from 2000's on at ceremony. Troy Smith was one of the most recent.

Well I'd care, because 12 hours after the ceremony he was shitting the bed in his first start.

Because he was at an awards ceremony?

The night before his game most definitely.

I personally find it hard to believe he was there, because I'm sure they have some sort of curfew even with home games, but I could be wrong.

If the ceremony was in Cleveland, or even the same city as the game, I wouldn't care, but the fact that he'd have had to fly over to NYC, and back Saturday evening, just doesn't seem like the brightest idea given what was happening the next afternoon.

How long of flight is it from NY to Cleveland?

Kudos to anyone who cares about the last 2 games, more than just Seeing what Manziel has. I just gave away my two Company tix for the game this Sunday. Not about to drive 3.5 hours each way for that shit show.

Unfortunately, my mind is already starting to turn toward the draft.

Some analysis on Manziel by Greg Cosell. Good god, look how open Gordon & Cameron were on that interception in the end zone.....

Even more unfortunate is that our two first rounders are gonna be smack dab in no mans land of the first round. I can't believe Buffalo has played this well. Oh well, this team needs players all over, especially dline and rt.

A lot of people are probably going to give me the "Debbie Downer/you don't know how next season is going to play out" crap but I think center, in the mid rounds, is going to be a need.

If I'm correct, Alex Mack signed a deal with an opt out (no tagging) clause that would take effect in 2016 free agency. Unless the Browns improve on this seasons win total, I bet he bolts in free agency. I also think the Browns will take a step back win-wise in 2015. If for no other reason, because of the uncertainty at QB.

I actually saw the video and questioned it as well. It appeared as if he was in a hotel room in NYC on Saturday night, meaning he would have to fly home Sunday morning... if this is the case, it makes complete sense that he played like garbage. However, it makes no excuse for why everyone else played pathetic.

So because he flew on a 1.5 hour (guessing there) plane ride the morning of a game, that's the excuse for why he played poorly?

I'm not excusing the trip but "why he played poorly" goes a helluva lot deeper than some 1.5 hour trip to NYC. Maybe it was throwing off his back foot, missing wide open receivers, etc. LOL

I don't think the NYC trip, if there was one, had anything to do with that shitfest.
