When I walked out of the first energy stadium a few weeks ago with 68k+ browns fans they all seemed pretty happy with a browns win and despite how shitty hoyer played last week, the Browns Backers bar in DC left with nearly 200 happy Browns fans. LOL if you think the majority of browns fans are pathetic old fuck curmudgeons like you.Footwedge;1680321 wrote:The real Browns fans that are happy about this number in the hundreds of thousands. They have watched enough horrible quarterback play for 2 decades. what is truly pathetic are ignoramus people like you that don't understand that. -

If that is what you think he did at A & M, then you never watched him play. Period.se-alum;1680318 wrote:I watched him plenty at A&M, he was fun to watch, but when you're throwing countless jump balls to a 6'5" WR, that doesn't make me feel good about his chances in the NFL. -

There is absolutely NO WAY Kojak can justify another week of horrible quarterback play. They can still make the playoffs with Manziel. There is no chance of doing so with the quarterback that conTinues to pump out 53 QBR ratings week in and week out.Con_Alma;1680322 wrote:Pettine stated his decision on the QB starter vs. Indy will be made public on Wednesday. -

I'll add that 4 hours away from Cleveland that the number of people wearing Browns stuff has at least quadrupled from any time in the past dozen years that I have witnessed.like_that;1680325 wrote:When I walked out of the first energy stadium a few weeks ago with 68k+ browns fans they all seemed pretty happy with a browns win and despite how shitty hoyer played last week, the Browns Backers bar in DC left with nearly 200 happy Browns fans. What's the matter with you? You actually want to play the far better quarterback? But Hoyer is 10 and 5 as a starter, didn't you know?BRF;1680319 wrote:Put me down as one who thinks Manziel should start from now on. -

Yeah and even in the little town of Logan...or even Hocking Hills they are wearing their shit because they drafted Manziel. Is rt. 33 still a 2 lane dump?Ironman92;1680342 wrote:I'll add that 4 hours away from Cleveland that the number of people wearing Browns stuff has at least quadrupled from any time in the past dozen years that I have witnessed. -
FootwedgeListening to the fan with weekly Hoyer ball squeezers Dustin Fox and Jeff Phelps on the post game now.. They want to talk about the struggles of Billy Cundiff. LMFAO. This morning Fox was asked who was the better quarterback coming out of college between RGIII and Manziel and he said RGIII and it wasn't even close. LMAO at the ignorance.

BR1986FBYou leave Manziel in the rest of the season. This team isn't making the playoffs and Hoyer has thrown 1 TD & 6 INT's in his last three games. Hoyer's one thing he had to hang his hat on was protecting the ball. That has all gone out the window. Manziel isn't leading this team to the playoffs but might as well see what they've got.
-
Footwedge1 TD 6 INT's and 4 more dropped INT's over that period including 2 more today.. As for making the playoffs, there is still a chance with Manziel. There is no chance with Hoyer. I blame the ruined season on the head coach and his bull headedness in continuing to start Brian Hoyer. Fans have been cheated this season.

shook_17^^^ dude fuck. I mean I think you just try to sound fucking retarded. There is no way you can believe half the shit you post.

BR1986FBThere's NO chance. Browns are going to need to win out to get in, I think. At a minimum, go 3-1 with the loss being to Carolina (due to tiebreakers). Manziel isn't going to do that.

It ain't happening...no matter who is at QB.BR1986FB;1680373 wrote:There's NO chance. Browns are going to need to win out to get in, I think. At a minimum, go 3-1 with the loss being to Carolina (due to tiebreakers). Manziel isn't going to do that. -

At this point, as sad as it sounds, I'm hoping for 8-8.Con_Alma;1680374 wrote:It ain't happening...no matter who is at QB. -

Browns could be back in first place after the next 2 games. You're not as clairvoyant as you think you are. 2 tough, but winnable games at home.Con_Alma;1680374 wrote:It ain't happening...no matter who is at QB. -
Con_AlmaI think that a reasonable expectation considering where they came from a year ago. It's possible they might sqeak out a 9-7 year whihc would be an outstanding year all things considered.

POssible? Sure. Likely to make the playoffs? Not good.Footwedge;1680377 wrote:Browns could be back in first place after the next 2 games. You're not as clairvoyant as you think you are. 2 tough, but winnable games at home. -
shook_178-8 with all the injuries we've had this year I'll be happy. Johnny gets his feet wet him and the office get to work all off season together.

Ironman92Colts are next and don't get a lot of pass rush...Manziel's scrambling ability might not be greatly necessary.....and then they play the Bengals and Hoyer was 15/23 against the Bengals in a dominating win.
7-5, regardless of tie-breakers and you have to go with whoever gives you the best chance. Hoyer has been pulled....he might come back looking to prove again now.
I think Pettine has a tough call. Quite honestly they are both professional football players and whoever starts next week....I'd have a short leash on them. Whoever is on the sidelines is really going to want to show something. Still smack dab in the middle of the race. If someone's feelings are hurt by being pulled then they don't have what it takes anyways.
It may feel/seem look like a long shot but you are still in it until a week before FW says you're out of it.
I feel my team could take your 2 CB's and go nicely into the playoffs.....I feel your team could take our QB and make the playoffs.
I still think Hoyer will get one last chance (maybe even after not getting the start)....but he's certainly on the edge of the cliff and losing balance with the wind blowing lol -
like_thatI think you go with manziel. Give the defenses something they haven't prepared for, or have much film.
Shannahan and Pettine will probably review the film tomorrow, and have a discussion. I have a feeling shanny will be pulling hard for Manziel. He needs to call better games though regardless of QB. The last couple weeks it has looked like Shurmur has been our OC at times. Crowell and West are not meant to run toss sweeps. -
BRFAfter today, I started thinking "oh God, 7-9", then I was thinking maybe 8-8 would be barely accceptable.
IF we get 9-7, more hope.
It's all really quite pitiful.
edit: actually I am happy with 7-5 at this point, but I want more. -

Key to next week will be pressure on Luck....and Colts don't get much pressure on the QB. If you can get pressure on him I'd still try Hoyer (4 inch leash).....if you can't pressure Luck you have to score a lot and Manziel being able to take the 6-12 yard runs every now and then might put him over the top.like_that;1680388 wrote:I think you go with manziel. I'll be surprised if we see much more of West against Indy. You could tell Pettine was livid, in his postgame presser, about that fumble. Wouldn't be surprised to see more Winston than West with the Crow handling most of the load.like_that;1680388 wrote:I think you go with manziel. That being said, Shanahan played right into Buffalo's hands running on 1st down. Most of the successful runs they had today were after feeding Gordon those short passes. They had to respect "pass first" and then they went away from it and it became predictable.
At this point, I've seen enough of Hoyer. He's a sinking ship right now. This team has improved immensely over hte past year but they really aren't that good. Losses to Jacksonville, Houston, Buffalo and a miracle win against a bad Tennessee team show that.
7-9/8-8 would be a disappointment after how they started out but I think if you ask most Browns fans if they'd be pleased with 7-8 wins, prior to the season, they'd say "yes." Doesn't mean we're "content" because the goal is to win it all, but this team isn't close to that.
