Don't know if I'd say "giving up" but you can never have enough good cover corners, imo. Let's just say I don't "trust" Gilbert in coverage just yet.SportsAndLady;1675666 wrote:Giving up on Gilbert? -

Oh, I think they will be competitive until the end. I just don't think they will win many more. I don't think they will get blown out in games but I don't think the "next man up" mentality is going to play out well with the talent being used to replace key players (Mack, Dansby, etc).like_that;1675668 wrote:I don't think we make the playoffs this year, but the panic on this thread is a bit dramatic. This team is not going to completely implode like they did last year. Pettine is a much better coach than Chud and shurmur combined easily. Most of their games will be competitive.
At this point, I think they are going to have to win in shootouts, with the defense being so poor, and even with Gordon, I don't think they are that kind of team. I think they should get to 8-8. If you would've said that at the beginning of the year, I would've been pleased but after jumping out to 6-3, if they finish 8-8, it will be kind of disappointing. -

I was thinking 8-8, with a shot still at 9-7. All depends on how this game goes obviously.BR1986FB;1675672 wrote:Oh, I think they will be competitive until the end. They still aren't that good to overcome that many injuries. Most teams that can overcome that many injuries normally have a great QB (I.e Rodgers).
I feel I can finally say this team is headed in the right direction though. -

Not only are they not good enough to overcome injuries but they aren't a team that's built to come from behind.like_that;1675675 wrote:I was thinking 8-8, with a shot still at 9-7. All depends on how this game goes obviously.

I do agree that they are headed in the right direction. I've been of the belief for several years that all this team needed to be competitive was solid QB play. Hoyer isn't flashy or electric but he protects the ball, for the most part. My fear, if they were to let Hoyer walk (I think they may franchise him) is that Manziel comes in, is a dud, and they are back to looking for a QB again. -
Commander of AwesomeSkrine, desir, Williams, gilbert. Better not waste resources on a fucking cb

Laley23Ben Tate released.
Tell me again how he is BY FAR the best back on the team. LOL -
Laley23So glad he is gone. Not able to ever stay healthy, and was a gigantic bitch who thought everything should be handed to him. Who seriously complains about others doing well?
-
BR1986FBNot a shock really. Kind of reminded me of Cribbs with his constant bitching to the media.

+1. Now Crowell needs to learn how to hold on to the football.Laley23;1675716 wrote:So glad he is gone. Not able to ever stay healthy, and was a gigantic bitch who thought everything should be handed to him. Who seriously complains about others doing well? -
Commander of AwesomeI do know th eBrowns also really like Winston, whom they were keeping as a 4th string RB but inactive on game day.
Bet tate ends up a colt. -

You guys want Blount? Apparently, because he didn't get any touches last night, he turned into a Tate-esque bitch and walked off the field before the game was over. Lord, it'd be one thing if either of those guys were good enough to have "diva" tendencies, but...no, just no.Laley23;1675715 wrote:Ben Tate released.

Jesus dude he's only a rookie, playing one of the hardest positions to come in and succeed in as a rookie. RelaxBR1986FB;1675669 wrote:. Let's just say I don't "trust" Gilbert in coverage just yet. -

This. Also hard to judge when coming off his best performance he doesn't play a snap the following week. Cb rotation lacks logic at this point.lhslep134;1675729 wrote:He's a god damn rookie at CB, one of the hardest positions to come in and succeed in as a rookie. Relax -

Tate is a dbag but he isn't on the same planet as Blount. Blount has been on 4 teams in 5 years and walked off the field because he didn't get a carry in a game his team was winning and the starting RB was over 200 yards. What a fucking clown.Heretic;1675727 wrote:You guys want Blount? I fucking hope so.BR1986FB;1675731 wrote:I'd heard he could be released as soon as today.
There is no reason to ever do what he did. If Bell was getting 30 carries and gaining like a yard a carry, I may be a bit mad but man..you dont walk off. Idiot. -

I doubt we would release one diva RB to pick up an even bigger diva RBHeretic;1675727 wrote:You guys want Blount? -
