OIC can an asinine post like this be the opine of the majority. OIC...whereby mediocrity is hailed vs the potentiality for excellence.

Let's review. Did we forget the tter mediocrity that Hoyer presented the fanbase over the previous 3 games...against the 3 worst teams in the NFL...prompting management to push the envelope in playing the Heisman winner? Hmmm? And now we hear the utter nonsense that "Hoyer beat the Bengals". Muhahahah. Headlines should read.." Hoyer forces the 100 million dollar ginger into 4 turnovers and a 2 rating" Or how about this..."Hoyer hands the ball off 52 times without a single fumble". SMH at the "Well. Hoyer beat the Bengals....

OIC...people like JSmog can clamor for more and more mediocrity from a quarterback whose rating is 17th in a league of 32 teams. OIC...whereby the motto remains "mediocrity is much better than bad".

People like the Bull and the Fox conveniently forgot the 8 dropped interceptions this year. The idiotic fan base don't understand the brilliance of K. Shanahan in designing plays buying the cement shoed quarterback 6...or 7 seconds to find a receiver...many times 20-25 yards in the clear.

OIC....for sure. All the while the Browns make a push towards a first round shellacking in a road playoff game, when the future, perennial top 5 quarterback continues to rot away on the bench. OIC.

Not enjoying it one bit. WIsh you fuckers would play Manzier so we can watch the browns stay in the basement all year!

I get the honest impression both of them would rather have a 2-14 season where heads rolled than an 11-5 playoff appearance because they could say they were right about how horrible Pettine/Hoyer are if the team sucks.

That's what kind of makes them even more funny, though. You guys are 6-3 and could potentially be in first place if the Steelers pull their usual performance against the worst chump teams (which the Jets are) and they're still constantly bitching and moaning because the team is doing well despite NOT listening to their expert analysis.
My "expert analysis" is shared by many...including Browns upper management, whereby Farmer pretty much proclaimed this as Manziel's team. If you need verbatim quotes, I'll be more than happy to provide them.

To suggest that this team would be headed for a 2-14 campaign with the rookie quarterback, exemplifies your utter ignorance on sports.

Yesterday, I watched the "gimmicks" of the read option run by Wilson and the Seahawks. A "gimmick" that "will never work in the NFL". The Giants were gashed for a team record 350 yards. With Manziel running K Shanahan's offense, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this team would be 7-2...or even 8-1. It's amazing Slick...but you will win MORE games when you play the better quarterback. Really. That's how it works.

While you, Jsmog and fat boy swing on Hoyer's sack, may as well floss your teeth with one of his ball hairs...the 2 birds with one stone phenomenon.

I would prefer winning a Super Bowl.not limp into the playoffs with the 17th ranked quarterback. A TRUE fan would understand that, chubby.

Nobody is "swinging from Hoyers sack." We all know that it's inevitable that Manziel will eventually play. When the time is right. This franchise already gets enough ridicule. They'd be an even BIGGER laughingstock if they pulled a WINNING QB in a favor of an untested rookie while in the midst of their best season in years.

Now go back to pouting and sucking your thumb (or whatever else you prefer to suck) in your little corner with your JFF Fathead in it.

I still laugh every time I see these "fat boy" and "chubby" comments when you know nothing about me you geriatric old coot.

My life is poetry in motion and rainbow beauteous...thanks you your concern though. Living the dream as no other. Care to comment on the 17th ranked quarterback? I little hard defending him, when the brutal numbers are posted, isn't it?

What is sad is that he should be ranked 25th or so, if opponents would learn how to hold onto his errant passes. Like IP says..."the luckiest quarterback" in football.

I'm assuming you found these next to "Manziel" in the dictionary. Frankly shocked you can read.

I HATED the weeden pick, but if last year weeden had the Browns at 6-3 and in first place, I'd be ecstatic. Iggy and fw don't even give a fuck the team is actually WINNING. They just want to be right. It's pathetic and makes them both non-Browns fans.

    I'll comment.

He's the 17th ranked QB...maybe he should indeed be 25th. He's still the starter and will be for the rest of the year barring injury. He's not more than that nor less. The backup is no more or less than that...a backup who couldn't convince the HC he should be the starter.

You've got it backwards...I care more about the team winning than you do.

Well no shit genius...the head coach thinks Hoyer is better. I don't agree with the head coach. Have you ever disagreed with the head coach?

Remember...Hoyer was outplayed in every preseason game. Open competition? Open competition my ass.

I have disagreed with the head coach by my opinion doesn't matter any more than yours does.

Open competition or not is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what the HC decides...whether you or I like it has no bearing.

Mr. Manziel is nothing more than a back up this year unless Hoyer gets hurt. That will never ruin my entertainment of watching the game. I'm truly sorry it diminishes yours.

They played a very telling stat in the MNF game last night.

The top 12 teams (record wise) right now, not a single one is ran by a scrambling QB. The teams are...

    Cardinals 8-1
    Patriots 7-2
    Broncos 7-2
    Eagles 7-2
    Cowboys 7-3
    Packers 6-3
    Chiefs 6-3
    Colts 6-3
    Browns 6-3
    Seahawks 6-3

Only the Seahawks and Wilson could be considered a scrambler out of that whole group. So please, tell me again how a scrambling QB is going to take over the league?

RG3 is hurt 50% of the time, Newton has sucked since his rookie yet, we all know how well Vick typically works out (great for a few games then either hurt or terrible), Manual was benched, Kaep and the 49ers are not on that list...

I could keep going. The question is, do we want to win or throw a rookie runner out there and lose? Manziel probably will be better next year or the year after, but right now he is not even close to as good as Hoyer.

That is a false statement riddled in opinion. They both sucked in the preseason. Even if you only consider preseason and not training camp, do you want a rookie who played shitty in the preason and struggled to learn the playbook, or a veteran who played like shit?

You give the rookie time to learn the system and how to be an NFL QB.

Guess what? That decision has freaking worked. They are 6-3, currently in first place in the toughest division in football.
