Which leads one to believe that they truly aren't. Unless it's a schtick, Chuck Booms is one miserable bitch too. I tuned in this morning thinking "even Booms won't piss on this one" but he did. He praised the defense and the fact that "he instructed the Browns to use the Baby Backs more than Ben Tate" but when it came to Hoyer his response was "he's good at handing the ball off" and "I like my quarterbacks to throw at least ONE TD in a game" even though the Browns didn't NEED to throw a TD.HitsRus;1671877 wrote:I just wish for their sake...if they truly are Browns fans, that they would just sit back and enjoy the ride.
It's no longer about winning with some of these clowns. It's about "style points." They just blew out an early season Super Bowl contender and it's still not enough for these jokers. They rather see the Browns LOSE, with some exciting/JFF gadgetry than win with solid game management. Ho hum, I'll take the wins.... -

They seem to be the sort of "fan" who is more concerned about "being right" than the team actually doing well. I get the honest impression both of them would rather have a 2-14 season where heads rolled than an 11-5 playoff appearance because they could say they were right about how horrible Pettine/Hoyer are if the team sucks.HitsRus;1671877 wrote:I just wish for their sake...if they truly are Browns fans, that they would just sit back and enjoy the ride.
That's what kind of makes them even more funny, though. You guys are 6-3 and could potentially be in first place if the Steelers pull their usual performance against the worst chump teams (which the Jets are) and they're still constantly bitching and moaning because the team is doing well despite NOT listening to their expert analysis. -

NFL network reported yesterday that senior levels of Browns management are getting "antsy" to see Johnny play.
They aren't looking to hand the franchise over to a soon to be 30 year old version of Derek Anderson that wants to cash in 1 good year for big money.
Some of you need to get a grip. You're the types making the OBR unreadable right now with all the Hoyer propaganda (and that's what it is at this point).
We are winning in spite of him, not because of him, and clearly some in the Browns organization are seeing that as evidence by the fact they aren't plopping down a huge extension in his lap.
That made me feel better to know at least some of them are looking at this with open eyes like myself and not with the myopic ones like many in these parts.
Some of us like me see Brian Hoyer for what he is. Others see Brian Hoyer as what they wish he was regardless of what reality is. Those are the folks that are the problem. Thankfully they don't appear to be making decisions in the upper level of Browns management. -

Because it's not "flashy" enough. The Browns wins are pretty boring....run the ball, take your shots downfield when the defense allows, and play solid defense. It's not "Lil Johnny scrambling around for his life/improvising, then throwing a bomb to a wide open receiver because the defender went into cardiac arrest, fell down and died trying to cover him for 42 seconds."Heretic;1671881 wrote:They seem to be the sort of "fan" who is more concerned about "being right" than the team actually doing well. Some people are so used to the misery that they revel in it and know nothing else.
If I had Iggy's address, I'd forward it to Hoyer with a false invitation to dinner. My guess is that he'd (Iggy) have to come up out of his mom's basement and the menu would be "meatloaf." -

Well, then I guess you're right that the Browns leadership are indeed "idiots" if they are getting "antsy."IggyPride00;1671884 wrote:I guess Browns management are trolls as well.

And who the fuck reads the OBR anymore? Bunch of whiny/up on the ledge Manziel nuthuggers.
And you're a bigger dumbfuck than I thought if you don't see how this is going to play out. Hoyer will play well, perhaps getting them to the playoffs, and will demand "big" money. They won't pay it and your love interest will be the starter in 2015. -

The lord and savior Brian Hoyer wins just enough games to make us relevant without making us a real contender and when you make the move suddenly Johhny is the antichrist for taking their beloved Brian away.
This is going to be 1993 all over again where suddenly Browns coaches and management become evil for not bringing back the new version of Bernie.
This is playing out exactly as I envisioned. -
wkfanWhy would they be 'antsy' to see Manziel play?
Hoyer is 9-3 in his 12 starts over the last 2 years..
Browns are 1-12 over the last 2 years when someone else starts.

I remember a guy on J.J. who was an Indian fan but was the same way.....He was more concerned with being right than in enjoying the success of the team. Invariably, the team would fail at some point and he proclaimed his rightness. It seemed, as it does with Iggy and footwedge, a kind of miserable way to go about being a fan. I suppose there is some self important gratification in being able to claim "rightness", but it is just a form of narcissism. None of us are experts...none of us are being paid for our opinions....and none us probably ever will. They seem to be the sort of "fan" who is more concerned about "being right" than the team actually doing well.
Some of us bring more insights because of our experiences, but none of us should being hung up on being "right". For one, it's not our job....and secondly, the people whose job it is KNOW that they are not going to be right all the time and don't stress over it. -

I almost basement banned them both when they drug it onto OSU shit last week too. When they both are taking asinine stances on any interest this site has, I became convinced that its trolling and not simply delusion (which is why I always let them make asses of themselves on Browns threads, because being a dumbass isn't punishable)Laley23;1671744 wrote:We have been instructed to thread bad for trolls. We will see how annoying they get and how drunk I get tomorrow night. -
