He had 3 straight in the 4th when he came back in and they didn't score on any of them.

Hey....he gave up huge 3's on several possessions late in the 4th

@ByTimReynolds: Cavs GM LeBron James will likely meet with Cavs Assistant GM Rich Paul and get Tristan Thompson paid by Cavs owner LeBron James tonight.

Lol, there are people defending him on my Facebook. He's not very good and has no business playing this much on a team that has potential.

Didnt get done in time, doesnt sound like.

Good for the Cavs. He is a RFA, which, imo, is usually better for the team if they are wanting to keep him. Let him sign somewhere else and match. If you were willing to go $40 million, you will be able to match anything...and maybe get it for less.

Dion is possibly the biggest malcontent in the NBA.

If he was even half as good in reality as he thinks he is he'd be the best player on the team. That tells you all you need to know about how big a disconnect there is between the player he is and the player he thinks he is.

His fan club on realcavsfans is going to be devastated when he is inevitably shipped out of town for a more useful piece that is interested in playing within a team structure.

He's the kind of guy who would be thrilled playing somewhere like Milwaukee or Utah where he could shoot as much as he wanted and be the offensive man. His happiest moments as a Cav last year were when we'd be down by 30 in the second half and he had license to jack up as many shots as he wanted because the game was over and Kyrie was on the bench.

Still boggles my mind how Chris Grant thought a 6'4 combo guard with an entirely redundant skill set (and even worse attitude) to the franchise player at the time (Kyrie) was a better option that a 7 foot monster like Drummond who was an athletic freak and the 2nd youngest player in the draft.

Thankfully Lebron came back and bailed out the organization so the issue is moot, but for the love of God get Dion out of town.

He is a 4th option on this team and it will never change. He can say all the right things, but he is never going to be happy and thrive in that role because that is just not the kind of player he sees himself as.

Rather than pretending that isn't the case and letting the situation fester until it does blow at some point just take pre-emptive action now and move on.

The Cavs don't need scoring out of that spot, but they could use an upgrade athletically as far as finding a guy content to be primarily a perimeter defender (who doesn't get many shots) to take the pressure off Lebron so he doesn't get stuck chasing around the other teams best player every night as he ages the next few years.

It was clear as day last year the guy is not a long term fit for the role we need him to play, and it would be nice to see them be pro-active and do something about it instead of lying to themselves that Dion is ever going to be happy as a 4th option averaging 12 or so points a game.

Name 5 games where this happened. Thanks, and STFU.

I think Waiters would be a VERY good 6th man. We have 4 scorers on our team and they are all in the starting lineup. We need some scoring off the bench(who has been outscored by 50 after only 2 games) and Waiters fits that role perfectly. Starting Dellavedova doesn't sound great but im not sure what else they could try.

    Big game tonight in Portland.

Surprised Cleveland is a favorite in this one. Should be a good game.
  • Laley23
Getting a glimpse of what the offense can look like. 8/8 lol.
  • Midstate01
A lot of offense and 0 defense so far. Kevin love looks amazing so far too.
  • Laley23
Also, not sure Andy could've fallen into a better situation. This team is perfect for him.

EDIT: Fallen into is wrong way to put it. He stuck through tough times and deserves it.

Delly sucks and has no business being on an NBA floor

/rob and bigdaddy who have only seen him play twice ever

I said he has no business being in a rotation on a championship caliber team, which is correct. I've seen him play a ton.
  • Midstate01
They should tell Tristan that if he takes a jumper, he has to run extra at practice. Just rebound and stick to put backs. Please don't shoot anything else.

2nd quarter was way too much 1 on 1, I'm getting mine, basketball. Killed the momentum they had offensively. Really think the starting lineup changes soon. Gotta find ways to have better combinations on the floor when the bench is getting minutes
  • Midstate01
I like delly when starters aren't on the floor. But if he has to guard a legit pg that has solid 1 on 1 skills, he's getting beat every single time.

He is in the rotation of a championship caliber team, so you're wrong. Thanks.

He shouldn't be is the point, look around the league at the other back up point guards. He is a third string guard who plays hard.
  • Midstate01
Well cavs getting routed this half.
  • Midstate01
It'd be great if lebron would show up and play some defense soon. He's letting guys just go and jogging a lot on defense.
  • Dr. KnOiTaLL
Better get the studs back in. Dion's not ready to lead the second unit.
  • Midstate01
Dion isn't ready to do much of anything outside dribble and shoot.
  • Midstate01
The fuq is up with lebron??? He barely tries half the game. I don't get it. doesn't seem to communicate much.

They need a post presence on defense bad. Real bad
