I root for the Cavs, but I'm not going to call myself a Cleveland "fan," 1) to not dishonor true fans and 2) to not be a typical "fake fan." When the smoke settles, are things looking up? Was this season a blessing?
The fact we're in a game 6 with our roster is so far beyond a success of a season. If we had Love and Kyrie we could/should win. If we do manage to win, it will be the biggest upset in finals history, and there should never be any Jordan/Lebron talk again. Cleveland will be the odds on favorite to win next year. As long as everyone stays healthy, there's no reason why they shouldn't win. But the whole reason we're in a game 6 is not because the cavs are as good or better than Golden State, it's because Lebron has put up ridiculous numbers. Cavs should have been swept, really. If lebron has even just a good series, the cavs get swept. So, yeah, the fact that they're in a game 6 is a great success. -

If we do not win, I will be not pleased but I won't be unhappy with the Cavs management as I believe they have built a team that can win multiple championships, and if healthy there is not a team on the planet that can beat that Cavs team in a 7 game series.ernest_t_bass;1735163 wrote:I missed the entirety of game 5, so I'm not going to go back and re-read the entire thread... There will be people who will never admit Lebron is better than Jordan. He's a better player right now regardless of team accomplishments.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1735165 wrote:The fact we're in a game 6 with our roster is so far beyond a success of a season. DeyDurkie5It's over. Book it.

QuakerOatsThe sports books already have the Cavs the favorite to win it all next year at 9-4. The money knows that with the Big 3 there is little stopping them.

I agree with you. He is better. But that would destroy all other arguments. -

Probably part of Lebron's private motivation that he talked about after Game 2. I think that along with finishing 3rd in the MVP race was also another.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1735186 wrote:I agree with you. He is better. But that would destroy all other arguments. -
BR1986FBRoad team is 11-1 when he officiates....

As a side note, is it just me or does Steph Curry have a very punchable face? -
AutomatikHe needs to keep his mouthpiece in his fucking mouth.

Azubuike24I like Curry, but it seems like a lot of people believe he's some underdog, non-trash talking, less cocky superstar that everyone should root for. To me, he comes off as a whiner and very cocky sometimes.

Yeah, I agree. The funny thing is that everyone on his team says he is the most humble player they have ever been around? I guess it just goes to show looks can be deceiving...Azubuike24;1735199 wrote:I like Curry, but it seems like a lot of people believe he's some underdog, non-trash talking, less cocky superstar that everyone should root for. Go Cavs! -

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the chest pound AFTER EVERY SINGLE MADE SHOT. I can understand it every once in a while, a lot of guys do that, but every time he makes a basket he pounds his chest. Is there some other meaning that I'm missing?Azubuike24;1735199 wrote:I like Curry, but it seems like a lot of people believe he's some underdog, non-trash talking, less cocky superstar that everyone should root for. Totally agree.Automatik;1735196 wrote:He needs to keep his mouthpiece in his fucking mouth.
Tonight I hope to see him miss most of these long "video game" shots!
BR: crackin' me up! -
FootwedgeNot gonna watch it tonight...too painfull. Next year let's play them with Kyrie, Kevin and Andy, and they can play without Curry. Iguadala and Bogut.

This is really the only thing that bothers me. Makes him look like he is 12.Automatik;1735196 wrote:He needs to keep his mouthpiece in his fucking mouth. -
FootwedgeNo problem with Curry's post shot antics. No problem with the officiating either. Cavs are losing because they have no ball movement and very few easy buckets...dunks, fast breaks, etc. That's what happens when 60% of your starters are out for the season..

If you watch Curry play, you know that after he scores a basket he taps his chest twice and then points to the sky. He referred to this as “Heart for God” and the inspiration for this came from none other than Sonya.
In “Kick’n It” Episode I, Curry tells the story of how that came to be a signature move for him. It started in college when, after the starting lineups were announced, he would find his mother in the stands, tap his chest twice and point to the sky and she would do it back to him. -

That's still obnoxious.wildcats20;1735214 wrote:Yes. -
sleeperI could see Lebron doing something crazy tonight; like scoring 70 with 20 rebounds on the way to a Cavs victory.
I'm optimistic for a Game 7. -
Laley23Doug Christie did it all the time. But he wasn't a superstar, just a very good player, so people didn't care/liked it.
I have no problem with Currys chest pound or mouth piece, as I would do the same since I fucking hate mouthpieces and always chew shit.
What I can't stand is the cocky look at me strut head down running back on defense bullshit he does after a tough/insane/even normal shot. We get it, you're good. But save that shit for a GW or something! -

I have a feeling his going off even more than recently too. Over 50%, making all those bunnies that he's been missing in the paint.sleeper;1735219 wrote:I could see Lebron doing something crazy tonight; like scoring 70 with 20 rebounds on the way to a Cavs victory.

Or if the refs stop swallowing their whistle of 1/5th of his drives, Lebron would average 60 points a game this series.Automatik;1735224 wrote:I have a feeling his going off even more than recently too. Over 50%, making all those bunnies that he's been missing in the paint. -

ZWICK 4 PREZLebron will have to go nuts and I'm hoping he does. It would be the most epic thing in Cleveland history if he goes nuts and wins 2 games.
