He was a pretty good college player, but a tweener in the NBA. Not surprised he hasnt been much of a presence in the NBA

Again, he was taken 58th, in maybe the worst draft EVER, if he wasn't a bum he would've been taken earlier.

Dude, he was a 58th pick. There are hundreds of players out there with just as good of a chance to make an impact...including about 30-40 more who haven't been picked yet tonight. There's only so many spots...and we were talking about being an impact guy on the NBA champs?

Only so many spots, all about opportunity. He's better than Chris Johnson who plays for the Celtics, and a lot of other players too. Hell my friend is better than Chris Johnson, all about opportunity and the right fit. Doesn't all come down to talent, wish more people would realize that.

@RicBucher: Source: Toronto looking to S&T Kyle Lowry to Miami for cash and future picks. Part II: Bosh opts out, returns to Toronto.

You act like recruiting and scouting is an exact science, it's not. So many times teams get it wrong, more than they get it right. Michael Redd got drafted where? Ginobili where? Doesn't matter where you get drafted, just if you get an opportunity. Matters more WHERE you get drafted.

Didn't Bosh want desperately to get out of Toronto? How would that make sense...

20 and 6 in the Big Ten is a bum, got it. Tell me scouts are right 100% of the time, hell even 50% of the time.

    College=NBA Success got it.

When is Adam Morrison being inducted to the Hall of fame?

30 Teams passed on him, almost twice. There is a reason for that.

Cleanthony to San Antonio?? Of course.

Very boring and balanced team. Very surprising pick though.

He was an absolute shot jacker to get those 20 points though lol. He was a good college player, but because he was a tweener and not really too athletic and could care less about defense....hes not gonna play in the NBA. Especially not for Pop who demands defense , and bball IQ out of his players

Where did I say that, taking my posts and twisting them like everyone else does now huh? You don't get it obviously, scouting is imperfect.

The point is...the argument you are making for Thomas could be made for literally 100-200 guys currently trying to make it or yet to be drafted. Odds are EXTREMELY against him, regardless.

He shot 45 %, what did number one pick Wiggins shoot who is a ten times better athlete? The NBA is full of tweeners, might want to open your eyes.

LIke I said opportunity and team fit matter, people don't get that. He is good enough to play in the NBA hands down.

I disagree with so many things posted on this thread.

You said 20 and 6 in College Basketball, more or less immunizes him from being a Bum. Just pointing out the fact that success in College basketball, doesn't make you any less of a bum in the NBA.

You just compared Deshaun Thomas to Andrew Wiggins. Time to move on to another subject...

That would be crazy, they would have no frontline under contract at all, maybe bring back Oden, move Lebron to the 4. I have no idea what Riley is doing but never doubt him lol
