wildcats20Also, wanna know why replay in MLB is 100% flawed(as if you didn't know already)...
@ctrent: Also, Jocketty said all he’s heard from MLB about Sunday’s call was they only had 1 angle in NYC & no definitive view of actual tag #Reds
1 camera angle. ONE. FSO had at least 3. -
Midstate01What's crazy is earlier this season, fso said the reviewing people had even MORE angles then tv did. Sooo did mlb tell teams or media that incorrectly? They have all those monitors, why aren't they watching the clubs tv feeds.
-
thavoice
That is BS, because the excuse in I think game 1, whichever game ended in that throw to first base, of the series was that New York gets to see both the home and away feeds of the game and maybe they saw something from the Atlanta camera's that they didnt see in the FSO broadcast.wildcats20;1610758 wrote:Also, wanna know why replay in MLB is 100% flawed(as if you didn't know already)...

and for the record....the guys on FSO post game, Jim Day, must have looked away because the FSO ohio DID show the replay taht was the most definintive on the play that votto hit. It did appear in that replay he was on the base.
still like Price's comments in the postgame that he knew he would get tossed, but wasnt going to get bent over just because NY said it was the right call. -
sherm03Tonight's start is likely to be delayed. Just saw on Twitter that the tarp is back on the field for now.

The NWS radar says "good luck, bro!" as far as getting this one in in anything resembling a timely manner. Looks like a lot of green space on it coming to the Cinci area in the near future.sherm03;1610770 wrote:Tonight's start is likely to be delayed. SportsAndLadyThis weather is Bad luck Brian'ing me
Finally gets to watch the reds on tv (playing the local cubs)
Both games rained out. -
thavoiceExactly why I dont purchase advance tickets until late may or later....because of the shitty ohio weather.
With banging last night's game I imagine the fans are in for a long, long night.
With that said, I think the reds should come up with some policy regarding rain delays, one that could benefit both sides.
I see alot of people on FB complaining that last stint of bad weather they had and their tickets went to waste.
What do you think that if you have tickets and there is a total of 2 hours or rain delay (or whatever arbitrary # they come up with) you also get a voucher for a later game. Could even be a view level. It would be a win-win for everyone. Fans would get the opportunity to get to go to another game, and the reds get the the bonus of having them pay for parking, again, pluse the concessions of both games they attend and it would build good will with the fans. It isnt like the stadium is full often.
It is frustrating for people, and many do, drive 90+ minutes to a game only to have to leave early becuase of a 2 hour delay and needing to get home because of work/school. -

I blame the Cubs. As a Pirates fan living in Ohio, due to MLB's blackout rules, the only time I can see them is if they're playing the Reds or Indians due to local broadcasts or the Cubs due to WGN (I guess this year, if they're the Fox Saturday or ESPN Monday game, they won't be locally blacked out any more, so that too if that's the case).SportsAndLady;1610774 wrote:This weather is Bad luck Brian'ing me

Every fucking time they play the Cubs, it seems to go like this.
Evening game when I'm at home = not on WGN.
Day game when I'm at work or evening game when I'm not at home = It's on.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Fuck the Cubs. -
SportsAndLadyThat's always the moral of every story.
-
sherm03Tarp coming off the field.
-
sherm03Good things happen when Billy Hamilton gets on base. Reds up 1-0 early on a BP sac fly.
-
mhs95_06Billy hit that ball every last bit as much as he's capable!
-
sherm03I am bummed I missed it. Changed channels during the rain delay and it's still raining hard at my house so I figured it was going to be awhile. Looked at my phone and saw it was tied up. Waiting for the video to pop up on the AtBat app.
-
sherm03Way to go Heisey!!
-
Midstate01Lol 3rd baseman in, Billy still beats it out.
-
SportsAndLadyRaining pretty hard, should prob call the game..

Ironman92Great AB by Heisey
Playing thru this game in fast forward a bit.....Thom and Cowboy just piss me the hell off with Phillips. Phillips made a very good play and smoothly threw the runner out with ease.....it was a very good play. The next 1/2 of the inning Ludwick hit one 3 steps left of 2nd towards the SS and Barney showed insane range and a release and throw that maybe only Cano could've done......Thom in a monotone voice says "a nice play by Barney"....then Cowboy says "Ludwick's lack of speed gave him a chance to make that play.
Just call the game and quit being ridiculous homers. Barney has better range and an equal glove with fewer errors and doesn't play balls to the side for flair and also to avoid errors being called.
I just get sick of the force fed greatness of BP at 2nd..... From the ASB last year his range has went down a decent bit. Every damn team has a very good 2nd baseman. Shit Dan Uggla out-fielded him last series. BP is still a very good 2nd baseman but his range has diminished for the past 4 years. His glove is as good as anyone....but he Edmonds' up plays as much as possible.
If Thom and Chris didn't slobber over him so much and under appreciate other great plays I think I'd like him a lot more. That stuff just pisses me off and I can't help it..... A great play is a great play -

On the cubs broadcast they talked about how great a play that was by BP and how the reds have always had great defensive second baseman, going back to joe Morgan and mentioning Brett Boone, pokey Reece, and now Phillips.Ironman92;1610913 wrote:Great AB by Heisey

I can't stand homerism, even when it's my own team. -
sherm03Then watch the game on mute. The only thing more annoying to me than annoying announcers is annoying fans that complain about annoying announcers.

Thanks....an excellent point by the Cubs guys. No need to slander BP for Cubs fans to understand how good Barney is in the field. The Reds have had great 2nd baseman, which they act as if Phillips does stuff better than the past Reds. Pokey had a cannon arm and maybe the best range I've ever seen. Boone was amazing at 2nd. Maybe the quickest turn I have ever seen. I don't remember Morgan but Ron Oester was excellent as well.SportsAndLady;1610916 wrote:On the cubs broadcast they talked about how great a play that was by BP and how the reds have always had great defensive second baseman, going back to joe Morgan and mentioning Brett Boone, pokey Reece, and now Phillips.

sherm03Also...Cowboy wasn't lying when he said Ludwick's speed is why Barney was able to make that play. He made a great stop, and got Ludwick by half a step. Most guys on the team beat that out. Luddy and probably Votto are the ones that don't beat that. Hell...I think Mesoraco would have even beaten that out.
