It's just dumb to me. I sat in front of a guy for 3 hours on a plane who complained about how he didn't like listening to Thom. When people get pissed and upset over something they can easily change...it is retarded to me.SportsAndLady;1610920 wrote:Uhhh, okay..? -

So because some tard was annoying you for 3 hours on a plane, you're gonna tell me and ironman to STFU for correctly calling thom and cowboy homers?sherm03;1610934 wrote:It's just dumb to me. sherm03Never told you to STFU. Just said that it's annoying for people to complain about announcers and if you don't like them, mute the TV or listen on the radio.

Luddy gets to first as fast as BPsherm03;1610922 wrote:Also...Cowboy wasn't lying when he said Ludwick's speed is why Barney was able to make that play. He made a great stop, and got Ludwick by half a step. Most guys on the team beat that out. Luddy and probably Votto are the ones that don't beat that. Hell...I think Mesoraco would have even beaten that out. -
Azubuike24Has Brandon Phillips tried to hit a HR to CF every AB for the last 5 games in a row?
He currently has a .599 OPS. I'd love to see the numbers for WORST OPS ever in a month from a #3 hitter. He's gotta be really close to the top. -

That's because BP doesn't hustle on ground balls.Ironman92;1610943 wrote:Luddy gets to first as fast as BP -
Azubuike24I'd rank Mesoraco's speed probably 4th in the starting lineup behind Hamilton, Frazier and Cozart. He runs very well for a catcher. Definitely faster than Ludwick and Phillips. Even Votto and Bruce run well for their positions. This is why Phillips and Ludwick stand out because the team speed is something the Reds actually have.

I did....I made it until Thom started in on 2 years ago when BP said he thought he was the best.....I fast forwarded to the next 1/2 inning.sherm03;1610940 wrote:Never told you to STFU. Do the homers ever mention that?sherm03;1610945 wrote:That's because BP doesn't hustle on ground balls. -
Azubuike24
Even when he runs hard, he's nowhere near as fast as he was 5 years ago and considering the caliber of athlete he is, he seems even slower.sherm03;1610945 wrote:That's because BP doesn't hustle on ground balls. -

Cozart, Frazier, Bruce Meso....all close
Luddy, BP, Votto....all close -

I don't know. I watch most of the games on mute with either the radio broadcast on or music playing.Ironman92;1610949 wrote:Do the homers ever mention that? -

No he failed his try to homer to RF in his first AB tonight, and it didn't cost him an AB!Azubuike24;1610944 wrote:Has Brandon Phillips tried to hit a HR to CF every AB for the last 5 games in a row?

Azubuike24I don't mind Thom and Brantley doing the games. George and Chris are classic, we've known that combo for 20 years.
-
Azubuike24
Either way, he tries to hit a HR every at-bat. He just happened to get lucky because Hamilton walked, stole and got to 3rd before Phillips flew out.mhs95_06;1610953 wrote:No he failed his try to homer to RF in his first AB tonight, and it didn't cost him an AB! -

He's quick, but not fast, and his quickness is declining more quickly than his speed, which is most obvious in him not getting to as many balls recently. BP likes being on the field so much that he does not risk baserunning injury, like some, say Meso, or Hamilton(although that's his forte), Freel, etc.Azubuike24;1610950 wrote:Even when he runs hard, he's nowhere near as fast as he was 5 years ago and considering the caliber of athlete he is, he seems even slower. -
Ironman92I don't mind anyone doing the games (George and Casey in Pittsburgh is the exception).....I hate the homerism to their extent. I know they are our team and they are employees for the network.....but it's too much for me.
-
sherm03At least we can all agree that nobody is as big of a homer as Tom Hamilton.
-
Ironman92
I can't agree because I've just not listened to him enough.....but I'll take your word for itsherm03;1610963 wrote:At least we can all agree that nobody is as big of a homer as Tom Hamilton. -

I would say I agree and that I usually bitch about Tom Hamilton, but you'd tell me to STFU and mute him.sherm03;1610963 wrote:At least we can all agree that nobody is as big of a homer as Tom Hamilton. -

Why would you mute a radio broadcast instead of just turning it off?SportsAndLady;1610969 wrote:I would say I agree and that I usually bitch about Tom Hamilton, but you'd tell me to STFU and mute him. -
mhs95_06LeCure's patented tailing front door fastball to lefties gets the K to snuff out the 2 out rally! I knew it was coming as soon as he dropped over the back door curveball for the 2nd strike. Need 3 outs, but how about a multi run lead before we try to get them!
-
mhs95_06Sam LeCure dress-alike having his big night at the ball park being able to watch these last innings from the first row behind the plate, and was right there to see LeCure pitch a zero in the 8th.
-
mhs95_06Good situational hitting by Cozart to put two on with no out.
-
sherm03Bases loaded with no outs and they can't get a run. Now THAT is something to complain about.
