Cleveland Cavaliers Offseason 2014

Pick6He made the smart bball in decision in 2010, though nobody liked how he did it. Make the smart career decision again.

Agreed. If he doesn't come to the Cavs, at this point, the conspiracy theorist in me says this was all a big setup to weaken (three way trade where we essentially dumped salary & got peanuts in return) the Cavs as he saw them as an up and coming threat. Cavs are the better choice, at this point. D-Wade & Company are going to get VERY old over the next 4-5 years.Pick6;1634896 wrote:He made the smart bball in decision in 2010, though nobody liked how he did it. SportsAndLadyYeah Broussard just said "if not for the letter Gilbert wrote, this would already be done"
Lol -
BR1986FB
Pretty dumb, imo. It's a business decision at this point. Sometimes you don't necessarily like the people you work with but you do it. What's funny is that last night Broussard was saying he didn't think the letter was an issue.like_that;1634900 wrote: -

It was also a business decision by Gilbert to try and keep as many cavs fans as he can. Yes, he bashed James in the letter and there is no defending that-he shouldn't have done that-but he was only trying to strengthen his fanbase and let them know he really cares about this team. Lebron knows this, he isn't still strung up on that letter from 4 years later. Just dumb ass Broussard.BR1986FB;1634902 wrote:Pretty dumb, imo. It's a business decision at this point. BR1986FBThis is from Rizzo so take it fwiw...
Tony Rizzo‏@TheRealTRizzo1 minSounds like Lebron wants @cavsdan to apologize publicly. I thought this was a business decision? Getting sick of this crap.
That being said, I'd assume should LBJ come on board that Gilbert would apologize. I'd also hope Lebron would make a more heartfelt apology to the Cleveland fanbase. If he were to do that, all is forgiven from me. That's all I've ever really wanted from him. -
friendfromlowryYeah, I've had a hard time believing some of Broussard's stuff, but this is just absurd. Whatever happened to 2-3 days ago when the Cavs had replaced the Heat as most likely to sign him? Now this bullshit about the letter is being brought up like it's something new and hasn't been around for four years. Lebron has had plenty of time to figure out if the letter hurt his feelings too much to play in Cleveland or not. And we're to believe someone in Lebron's camp is dropping hints to Broussard that the deal is being held up because of this?
Fuck these idiots. They have to report something, so they take whatever they can think up, cite it under "sources" and will never be held accountable anyways.
They're also going to try and spin Gilbert into being the bad guy now instead of Lebron if he stays in Miami. Which is ironic considering no one is paying attention to the racist jackass across the country showing up to court late and threatening everyone. -
BR1986FBKind of sounding like Lebron is trying to use the Gilbert letter as a butthurt, as you guys like to say, "out" to stay in Miami. If he's THAT thin skinned, screw that *****.
-
wildcats20The issue has always been the letter and Gilbert. This is nothing new, just being reported that way now.
-
SportsAndLadyJesus these guys' egos are so fucking huge. It was a god damn letter written in anger nearly half a decade ago. Get the fuck over it Lebron. Or don't get over it and stay in Miami. At this point, I don't care just make a damn decision.
-
BR1986FBBesides, knowing that asshat (Lebron), Gilbert would apologize and he'd STILL stay in Miami, getting EVERYTHING he wanted.
-
BR1986FBSam Amico‏@SamAmicoFSO2 minsTold reports of Dan Gilbert's old letter to LeBron has never been relayed to Cavs as possible sticking point. So reports are news to them.
-
RotinajIf Gilbert was serious about getting Lebron he would of apologized by now. The letter was so over the top it's just silly. It doesn't even need to be anything fucking special, just that he went over the top in the heat of the moment. I advise a couple of you to reread the letter, im guessing you haven't in years.
-
HitsRusFool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. I feel sorry for anybody hanging on his every move. I'm not buying any of him until he commits to us.
This. Grow up guys...you make business decisions everyday...at least that's what you call them when you make one that hurts the fans. This should be no different.Jesus these guys' egos are so fucking huge. It was a god damn letter written in anger nearly half a decade ago -
Benny The Jet.....and here's your built in excuse for why he stays in Miami. He'll play it off as hemming and hawing and what a tough decision it was by evidence that it took 2 weeks to figure out, but he just couldn't get over the letter.
-
SportsAndLady
And then 2 other superstars will sign in Miami. But because of him "seriously" contemplating Cleveland, no one will accuse him of illegally talking to these other superstars behind closed doors about returning to Miami. This has been the plan all along, there just couldn't be any threat of getting in trouble for talking when they shouldn't.Benny The Jet;1634924 wrote:.....and here's your built in excuse for why he stays in Miami. RotinajYea this is definitely feels like its all about his image, he doesn't want the whole world hating him like when he left. If it really was just the letter you'd think we would of heard this earlier.
-
Benny The Jet
Ha, we're like the good looking girl assistant in a magic trick. "Hey look over here at Cleveland and what's happening here while I actually am going behind doors and talking to other players to load up my team!" Misdirection.SportsAndLady;1634925 wrote:And then 2 other superstars will sign in Miami. ZWICK 4 PREZHe can def GFH at this point.

BR1986FBAdam Schefter‏@AdamSchefter47sIf LeBron were to return to Cavs, he would not be doing it for Dan Gilbert. He would be doing it for Cleveland, which deserves a champion.
