Cleveland Cavaliers Offseason 2014

bases_loadedI hope this doesn't affect my situation. There are three of us splitting tickets. Are we not going to be able to transfer them?

I think this is a good idea as it discourages fake fans from just trying to profit on the season tickets. I want the season ticket holders to consider the fact they will have to attend every game rather than just use the team as profit generator.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1660006 wrote:Cavaliers have locked season ticket holder accounts that have sold any games to this point. Trying to weed out brokes... what about normal fans that simply can't go to every game?
Sucks to be the fake fans who did this, but they deserve to eat the cost since they barred true fans from getting their hands on season tickets. -
SportsAndLadyGlad I didn't end up buying those then because I was fully planning on selling 100% of the games lol

Yeah, you'd have gotten screwed for sure!SportsAndLady;1660067 wrote:Glad I didn't end up buying those then because I was fully planning on selling 100% of the games lol -
Mr. 300Where is SQ when we need him??

bases_loadedYou can sell them...just have to use Flash Seats. It was in the contract I guess.

Wow, Mr. Capitalist is for something that screws shrewd investors who purchased tickets when the Heat lost the finals. Not all people selling tickets are brokers.sleeper;1660060 wrote:I think this is a good idea as it discourages fake fans from just trying to profit on the season tickets. Pick6The whole ticket thing to me seems like a big stink over nothing really.

Dr. KnOiTaLLSo I actually talked to my rep tonight. She said that they are monitoring ALL season ticket holder accounts. If they notice a majority of tickets being sold, the account will be flagged and locked. If it continues, the season tickets can be revoked without refund.

Isn't it, though? I know a guy who lives over 3 hours away that bought season tickets simply to sell at a profit. He's pretty ticked at the whole ordeal.ernest_t_bass;1660282 wrote:This is so stupid -

Do you have to agree to something before buying that says you cant sell them? If so, then of course people who did it cant complain. If not, this is a large amount of bullshit.wildcats20;1660470 wrote:That's his own damn fault. -

There is nothing saying that you can't sell your seats. It says that they are not to be used for commercial use without consent from the Cavs, but who are they to tell him he can't sell tickets that he paid for and can't go to? That's ridiculousRotinaj;1660472 wrote:Do you have to agree to something before buying that says you cant sell them? If so, then of course people who did it cant complain. Dr. KnOiTaLL
This is true, but you also cannot sell a large portion of them. My Cavs rep said that if tickets are continually being sold and not used by the account owner that they can be confiscated without refund. Basically, now that LeBron came back and tickets could be very profitable, they don't want people price gouging and preventing the "real fans" from being able to go to games.wildcats20;1660474 wrote:... -
MulvaGood for the Cavs for making an effort to get Cavs fans to Cavs games at a reasonable price.
If you bought tickets simply to flip them, then fuck you and I couldn't give a shit that you're getting cracked down on. If you "can't go to every game", sell to friends via methods other than scalping sites. Not that hard. -
Pick6agreed mulva. dont want your account to get flagged or pay the buyer/sell fee on flashseats? if you are selling to someone you know, simply just transfer them and have them pay you in person.
-
Dr. KnOiTaLL
My rep made it sound like you can't transfer a ton either. I bought the tickets after agreeing with 3 other people to go in together for 11 tickets per person. After I fronted the cash, two guys backed out when it came time to even up. One of them has since agreed to go to a few, but he doesn't want 11 games worth. That left me with tickets to 28 games. I simply can't make the hour and a half drive to and from Cleveland 28 times this season. I don't mind going a couple times a month, but require me to be at a majority of the games (what does that mean? Over 50%? Which would bee 20+ games...) is a bit ridiculous. I agree completely on the people simply buying to sell, like my buddy, but I don't think that was everyone's intention. Regardless, we will see how things work themselves out. She basically told me that I need to find people to split the season tickets with me or go to a partial plan, which would be lame because the I can't go to all the playoff games if I want. Oh well.Pick6;1660488 wrote:agreed mulva. dont want your account to get flagged or pay the buyer/sell fee on flashseats? if you are selling to someone you know, simply just transfer them and have them pay you in person. -

Yup. I don't have any sympathy. I do think you should be allowed to sell a few games here and there but there needs to be a limit for douchebags who exploit the team for profit at the expense of real fans.Mulva;1660480 wrote:Good for the Cavs for making an effort to get Cavs fans to Cavs games at a reasonable price.

Pick6Lets go Cavs!!

Midstate01They were WAY too unselfish early. But the ball was moving so I won't complain.

agreed. Think it was just everyone trying to get comfortable playing with each other and trying not to step on any toes. Was nice seeing an actual offense for once. Love and Kyrie looked decent on D as wellMidstate01;1660966 wrote:They were WAY too unselfish early. But the ball was moving so I won't complain.
