thavoiceI listen or watch some of pretty much ever reds game, but the days of sitting in front of the boobtube and watching the game from beginning to finish are pretty much over unless it is huge late season/post season game.
Just way too much stuff to do to devote 3 hours to sit and watch.
Kinda funny though...as a kid would go to 1 reds game a season. I felt cheated if it was under 3 hours! I would be disappointed early if the first 3 innings were under an hour, and so on. -
HereticI tend to always be watching baseball. I just rarely actually am focused on the game.
If I'm at a friend's house, we're probably catching a buzz while doing so. If I'm at home, I'll probably be playing video games on the other TV or working out while blasting music with the TVs on mute. -

Baseball, to me, is background noise (like music) during the summer. I usually turn on the Tribe game at 7 (or when it starts) and make/eat dinner, shower, do some work, some busy work etc. Then when its over, turn on MLB Network till I fall asleep. I never sit and watch the game from start to finish, but I do listen, and when something happens, or guys get on base, Ill come and finish the inning with watching etc.Heretic;1624702 wrote:I tend to always be watching baseball. Ironman92This is jump you typically saw Ken Griffey Jr and Andruw Jones get....very few CF catch this ball from where he started

Ironman92I can't stop watching it...lol. He had no time for a big crow hop and he threw it over 300 feet from a stand still over top the runner perfectly into the catcher's mitt. Incredible distance that only maybe 2-3 guys could do and with the runner in his line. That will end the season as the most difficult throw of the year to complete. Bo Jackson type stuff.

The throw to 3rd?Laley23;1625160 wrote:I prefer Puigs last year. More of a line.

Idk, that was a shorter distance, and he got to crow hop. Dont get me wrong, still impressive, but lol Cespedes literally turned, and whipped the ball 300 ft on the money -
Ironman92
Puig has had a few.....he and Cespedes remind me a bit of Bo....I love those insane throws. Rick Ankiel, Vlad, Frenchy, Mondesi....some of the best throws ever by those guys.KB0938;1625185 wrote:The throw to 3rd?

Bo threw out Harold Reynolds from the warning track in the air and Ankiel let one fly to 3rd to drill a Reds runner....two of the best I've ever seen. -

He got to crow hop, but it wasn't that much closer. He was only 15' inside the warning track lol.KB0938;1625185 wrote:The throw to 3rd?

Talking about the Harper on, not Byrd. Though both were absolute ropes. -
slingshot4everAbreu with another homer. This guy is the real deal.

The league is starting to be dominated by Cuban defectors. Chapman, Cespedes, Abreu, Puig and a few others, just recently.slingshot4ever;1625262 wrote:Abreu with another homer. This guy is the real deal. -
slingshot4everWhite Sox beat Tigers tonight, 8-2, chasing Verlander in the 6th. Sale vs. Scherzer tomorrow night.

MulvaTanaka is also the real deal.

Ironman92They might want to stop testing him...

GOONx19He may have a great arm, but he sure as hell can't field a ball out of the corner. Both throws lol

Ironman92Nats/Cards game today lasted 2 hours and 3 min....or otherwise known as 46% of a Yankees/Red Sox game

I was going to go and catch the last 5 innings (worked till 8 locally) last night. Get to the hotel at 8:10 and it's already the bottom of the 6th. -

Shit, that sucks. Guys I remember loving watching while growing up are dropping now. Hate those little signs that I might actually be getting older.SportsAndLady;1626675 wrote:Tony Gwynn dead at 54
