2014 Golf Thread

Figured I would kick this off. Jordan Spieth continues his explosion, dude might seriously become the next big star if he isn't already. Finished in the Top 10 in 9 tournaments last season including a win at the John Deere, finished second at the T of C in Hawaii and is in the lead right now at Torrey Pines. Guy just turned 20

I shot a 65 as an 18 year old at Franklin Valley. I would likely win all the tournaments.

For now it's hard for me to get into golf with 5 inches of snow on the ground and last year was the first year I didn't golf since 1979. I may watch the last 4-6 holes on Sunday.

Sportscenter was getting ready to play the top 10 plays of the week on Wednesday and as it came time to show them they switched to coverage of Tiger Woods preparing to play this tournament (the next day).....I like Tiger but that pissed me off pushing it on me. Lol

I'm like I92. Just can't get into golf this early. I usually will tune in as cbk winds down. March-ish.

I watch golf pretty much year round, no real slack off. But I get what y'all are saying. I've already planned my rounds for hen I hit Nags Head around Memorial Day.

Watched 3 minutes too fucking depressing of a difference between their weather and ours.

KJ in the clubhouse a long time ago....he may have himself some sudden death playoff holes here in about an hour.

Is Under Armor taking over? Seems like 3 of every 4 players are being sponsored by them.
  • Ironman92
    Lol....that was disappointing

Threw his club from his swing and it goes 320 down the middle

Thats fine. And when it's week in week out, nike and the other big guns will sign them to a huge deal.

I think they're trying to catch lightning in a bottle with one. Spieth might be the guy

I've not seen that great of a % of players in the final round wearing the same stuff.

UA had to be licking their chops.

Why would anyone leave UA for Nike? You can get both an apparel deal and then a clubs deal with a separate brand. Better clubs as well
