If it was a 1 shot lead, I would've been irate. But at 2 strokes, Phil realized it didn't matter IMO.
That actually sounds like something Phil would be pissed about lol

    Rickie was encouraging it.

Honestly, had Rory lost his drive 2 more feet to the right Phil and Rickie may have played it differently.

I can see the advantage both ways. It was kinda cool because it was like we'd do on our golf courses. I don't think I'd ever seen that before on tour.

Ryder Cup gonna get going in about 2.5 hrs on Golf Channel? Anyone gonna watch live this year?

I will be up at 5 for work, so Ill catch about an hour. Hope to catch a little more tomorrow but probably wont be able to.

Plan on watching all the singles live, if I can stay awake...

I'll probably watch for 2 or 3 hours tonight, thank you time difference.

Just got up to watch a couple hours before I leave for work.

USA already getting beat in 2 matches. I think it's going to be an ugly loss for us this year.

GC's coverage this morning is awful. They have shown more commercials than shots. It's really surprising.

Probably were getting them in early, so they can show more later when all 4 matches are winding down.

I hope that's the case. I understand not all shots will be shown, but they barely showed any full swings.

Yeah it sucks. Ryder Cup would be tough because unlike a tournament, every shot on the course matters. And you can't bank on just showing certain holes, as the match might be over (literally) by then.

Seemed to me like they were focusing on certain players/matches more than anything. Which is fine, but they didn't even really show the other less marquee matches. I left at about 6, so I'll be interested how the foursome matches go. I'm sure it's a lot easier for coverage of that than the four ball.

Phil birdies 18 to win the match over Rory/Sergio. Huge, huge point for the U.S. Rickie and Jimmy Walker getting a halve was huge as well, trailed the entire match.

Nice comeback this morning for the Americans. So far 3-0 with Rickie and Walker leading 1 up on 15.
  • Laley23
Rose and Stenson won, so it's 2-1.

I have no clue how Bubba and Kuch kept it as close as they did.

    Yeah definitely a typo.

Very disappointing, but good, halve for Rickie and Walker. Poults got it going, which was awesome. Thankfully he's sitting out the afternoon.

10 straight birdies for Stenson and Rose. Crazy.
  • Laley23
USA off to a slow start in the afternoon. Need to be within 1 going into singles tomorrow, IMO.
  • wildcats20
Rickie and Walker are getting curb stomped. 3 down thru 5.
  • Tiernan
Is Watson second guessing his decision not to play the hottest USA pair from the last Cup? Michelson doesn't seemed pissed but I'll bet he's seething. USA getting beat like a Scottish dwarf.
  • Laley23
No one will ever play in every session, but really a questionable call to sit Phil and Keegan this afternoon.

i like the singles pairings tomorrow for the USA, but not enough of them to win it. Gonna be crazy if they can get up early in the first like 5 of the first 6 early. If not, might be over by 8am.

Rickie and Walker are playing every session.

But I agree, hard to explain why Phil and Keegan say out ALL day.

Jordan Speith. Dude still doesn't know how to win.
  • wildcats20
Definitely had a chance to win today.

Speith, Mahan, and Fowler really shit the bed.
