Whats the rate for 2 people?
  • bases_loaded
There's 3 of us splitting a room rate normally for 4 staying at the lodges on mid pine. Talamore, Mid Pine, Pine Needle, the national with 4 nights accommodations was 700 per

    That's a good deal.

I wouldn't have to lodge there, as I just moved down here, but I was looking into it anyway as a Father's Day gift to my dad if the price was fair. Post the feedback if you could when your done, I'd love some insight on of its worth the price.

I will be headed to Pinehurst for the US Open. Going on Sunday for Father's Day. Only ever been to the Memorial so pretty pumped to make it to a major.

Some big time and news today.

Tiger will miss The Masters. He has already had surgery to repair a pinched nerve

I am sure CC jerked off to this news.

Should be good for him in the long run.

He's 38, plenty of time to dominate in his 40s.
  • IggyPride00
Tiger needs to get back to nailing Perkins waitresses.

His health has went into the shitter since he stopped sleeping around.

    He lost his mental edge.
  • Automatik
I think the back issues had a lot to do with it.

A golfer's "prime" is later compared to other sports. He will still win in his 40s, but not at the clip he's used to. Beating Jack's record also looks a lot more unobtainable than we first thought.
  • Classyposter58
I just don't think he can catch Jack now, he relies on such a violent swing and his body is breaking down leaving him unable to play the way he used to. The combination of that and a field so much better than it was 10 years ago seems to be too much to overcome. I think that is what people overlook, game is way deeper than it was when he was dominating the sport, even Phil is much improved

I feel a lot of people are overlooking the fact that he won 5 times last year.

I see some posts on another forum saying "he's done! Finished!"

    Not quite.

Stakes are higher and there is more pressure at a major.

I think this has as much to do with the odds against him catching Jack as anything else.

    Agreed, but...

    4th at Augusta
    2nd at The Open

It's not like he's not in the mix.

Barring any major injury issues I think he'll just surpass Jack when it's all said and done. A few years ago I would have went with crushing the major record.

I said the same thing to my friend (the 5 wins) and he had a great counter: "yeah, at courses he can win with his eyes closed" (even though it's a great counter, Tiger still played fantastic last year).

I'm definitely still of the belief that 19 is possible, but I also thought about this today: Tiger's swing was so violent that it was bound to blow up when his body couldn't handle it any more, and his body is in that process right now. If he wises up and adjusts his swing, he's still so good and mentally strong that 19 is possible. But if he keeps being stubborn and resists the necessary adjustment, well I don't know if his body will let him make it to 19.

Yea, the talent in golf right now is so deep, it was going to be harder for Tiger before his body started giving out on him. I dislike Tiger, but I don't think 19 is out of reach at all, unless he has a debilitating injury.

This has been recycled for 5 years now.

    Your point? Do you disagree?

Automatik;1600855 wrote:Your point? Do you disagree?
Yes because he doesn't have the ability to dominate anymore. The field is so deep now winning more than one a season would be a hell of a task let alone 5 in the next 7 years. If anything Rory is already a more talented player than him
  • Automatik
    Really?

5 wins, top 5 in 2 of the 4 majors, and another top 10 finish. This is out of 16 tournaments and the injury issues.

    Rory..more talented? LOL

    Do you even watch golf?

Like I said before it's the mental edge. He loses it at the majors for some reason. If he just got over the hump and won one major, I could see him reel off a few more since the mental block would be gone.

Don't mind classy, he is about 12 years old. Sports didn't really exist for him 7 years ago.

Classy's post is blocked so I can't read it, but I'm assuming it was asinine and incredibly stupid?

Here you go, liberty, you be the judge.
