Ha.
Officially re-upping tomorrow! -
Laley23Anyways...
Pretty excited for this Gold Cup. With the new format for our Confederations Cup representative, I am much more invested in the Gold Cups than I was before. Would be great to quailify for that and NOT have to play this years winner in a playoff.
USMNT has looked very good recently, and we are starting to see (I think and hope) the fruits of Jurgens labor the last few years. The younger guys who have been in his system are starting to make inroads a lot sooner and look much better than previous regimes. It seems every game we have a new name pop up and make a difference in some way. I always hated how the USMNT coach didnt get to oversee the youth teams/programs the way he wanted. Glad that has changed for the better. -
gerb131Some Micronesia lost 30-0 46-0 and 38-0 to Tahiti Fiji and something else lol

I still believe that Jordan Morris should have been on this squad. I was never a Wondo fan and he's old now. Morris as the 4th striker would have been nice.Laley23;1739346 wrote:Anyways...

I also just read that Lauren Holiday just retired from international games at 27. -

I saw these scores and I can't even comprehend how you give up that many goals. -
DeyDurkie5
The best they looked was their friendly recently against Guatemala. I just felt they moved the ball exactly how I think soccer should be played. Look to attack, keep the passes short and crisp, and don't dick around with it while in the offensive third. They have never had that type of attack. It's always been sit back and then counter good teams. Hopefully they continue that trend.Laley23;1739346 wrote:Anyways...

Also wondolowski should have been kicked off the team once he missed that sitter against Belgium. Useless twat. -
Laley23Agreed about the selection of Wondo. Will never forgive that guy for missing that shot versus Belgium. The selection process can, and likely will, always provide talking points. However, guys like Matt Besler, Agudelo, Beasley etc could always be added after the group stage. So tough to argue about the roster until we see the one who will be there when it "really" matters.
But, aside from that, still extremely excited for the next month. -
Classyposter58Haha I guess Honduras is getting a little conservative tonight as they're projected to run a 5-4-1 against us

They looked better against the Dutch and German teams. Even though the Germans didn't have a lot of "A" team players, Bradley played out of his mind in both of those games.DeyDurkie5;1739455 wrote:The best they looked was their friendly recently against Guatemala. They looked good, but I agree with Durkie here. The Guatemala game was possession with a more pointed attack. Just a little more direct in the final 3rd, but still being patient.Ytowngirlinfla;1739468 wrote:They looked better against the Dutch and German teams.
