but you browns fans can blame everyone and anything else other than the true person at fault...and that is Gordon himself.
This is funny coming from a steelers "fan." The same fan base that tries so hard to justify root for a rapist, and allowing their daughters to wear the rapist's jersey. You guys can't even admit to the fact he is a scumbag. This is also coming from the same fan base that justified osama bin mendenhall's comments, their coach blatantly cheating, and their center assaulting another man because he is gay while ALSO being in complete minority of defending Aaron Hernandez.

Despite the amount of time you spend on this thread (and not your steelers thread that is probably buried 30 pages deep), you clearly have displayed with this quote you have your had up your ass. Everyone on this thread was pissed at gordon when the announcement came around May. NOBODY is denying the fact he is a complete dumbass and should have stayed away from any type of situation that would have led to a year long suspension. Unlike you (and apparently BR), most of us do not think in a black and white way. So, when more and more facts come out (i.e. it looks like gordon barely failed the test, looks like it was second hand smoke, their testing is 3x worse than the IOC, Ray Rice only gets 2 games, Mike Pouncey assaults a man for being gay and so far has 0 games, Mike Tomlin gets a wrist slap for blatantly trying to cheat during game which is a 10x worse, the NFL is considering revising their marijuana policy, the broncos/seahawks both play in states where it's legal to smoke, etc) it tends to lead us to believe Gordon got a very raw deal, because Goodell is a POS. This still DOES NOT take away from the fact that we think Gordon is a complete dumbass for even being involved in this.

Not really sure how you old timers can not comprehend that. Try thinking outside the box for once in your life.

Edit: Forgot to mention the fact that his suspension was announced in May yet it took until the end of August to make a final decision is beyond absurd. The fucking NBA sold the Clippers faster than that.

    This. X1000

Also where the FUCK is the 1 yr ban for the steeler RB who were ARRESTED for pot? Aldon Smith? Kapernick for raping that chick in Miami?

    Bullshit

That's the part that would piss me off the most, especially since it was upheld. You would think this long delay would result in a shorter punishment. It's a total dick move to wait this long and drop the bomb 2 weeks before the first game. Now they are royally fucked at the receiver position.

Also, the Steeler burners will probably get 2-3 games. Why? Because first offense.

lol yeah, thats why you have responded to my posts as recently as a couple days ago and you literally just used the same phrase I used on you in my last post. Sorry I hurt your feelz for making you look like a dumbass. Maybe next time try not making stuff up? If you are having difficulty then just put your nuts back into your wife's jar and let her take over.

Anyway, before the dumb red neck steelers fan gives this thread more fluff, what do you guys want to see today? I say let Hoyer play one drive, and then just give the keys to Manziel. I wouldn't play many starters, we already lost our best skills player.

The rules - as negotiated and agreed to by the players' union - are crystal clear. There is nothing to blame on anyone else besides Gordon. It's not a matter of screwing the Browns either. This is an open and shut case. It was entirely brought down by Gordon's decisions.
Yep. Same as Blackmon. Same as Darryl Washington. Same as Lavon Brazill.

The only thing to be pissed about is how long the appeal process dragged out, which was bullshit.

I have been pissed at Gordon since May for being a dumbass. He ruined the draft for me, I hardly paid attention to the draft after the first day because of him. I just find it funny that we somehow can't be pissed about the other factors i mentioned that are involved with this, because Gordon is a dumbass. Why can't we be pissed at both?

I hope they give out some explanation as to why it took so long because that was complete bullshit

The starters need the work. I would leave them in there long enough to get significant reps.

I agree with this. Let the starters get a little flow going before their first real game

I'm hoping the Browns do well this year. If they can show signs of life tonight, they actually do have a good chance in Week 1 to get a W.

The schedule actually looks VERY favorable this year.
    Possible Wins:
    1. Steelers
    2. Baltimore
    3. Tennessee
    4. Pittsburgh
    5. Jacksonville
    6. Oakland
    7. Tampa Bay
    8. Atlanta
    9. Buffalo
    10. Cincinnati *at home*
    11. Carolina
Obviously we won't win 11 games, but the schedule does have a lot of potential to not have as pourus of a year as we all expect to have.

I meant pissed at the NFL. Not in general. Too lazy to edit. I hate Goodell as much as anyone, but this wasn't his call. It doesn't get any more "black and white" than a CBA.

The Rice situation is a totally different story. The league deserves (and got) plenty of shit for that.

Have you been hanging out with Gordon and getting too much second hand smoke?

Tell me which game is NOT possible that I listed and give some reasoning to defend your pot joke. If you make a good point I'll concede and pass it on to you.

11 winnable games and only 16 losable games. Not bad...

Were the Steelers running backs popped twice before for weed? ( Serious question)

    They were arrested. Worse IMO.
  • KB0938
And doesnt an arrest account for moving up a tier in the testing or substance abuse policy or w/e. Id bet they both are gonna now be tested like Gordon was/ is

Leon Mcfadden is so fucking bad.

I havent been able to see any preseason action...is Gilbert going to start for this team?

I loved the pick, as I thought he was a stud, and going against the #2s was going to mean we had 2 shutdown CBs...but if he doesnt start, even if he proves to be integral part of the team, it seems like a bit of a waste when Browns needed so much WR/help elsewhere.

McFadden looks like he may have played DB for OSU last year. Yikes he's awful
