As far as Josh Gordon goes, the recent speculation is best case scenario being 8 games.
    To go along with that....

Jesus, footwedge shut the fuck up. Both hoyer and manziel are browns, you should be rooting for both of them to be having great camps, because we want both of them to be good.

Just let it play out, this coaching staff isn't playing "favorites" they're going to be playing who they think is best. So STFU about arguing who is having the better camp in week 1 of training camp.

Is that a Mary Kay report? I'll pass on believing anything she puts out

What's everyone feeling in terms of wins this year?

7-9 wins. 9 if good QB play, 7 if not good QB play.
  • Rotinaj
We have such an easy schedule, if they cant win 10 games with good QB play we are further away than I thought. With that schedule, barring mass injuries, less than 7 wins is a gigantic failure of a season.

THINGS I HAVE LEARNED: Footwedge might be the only person on this site who looks at early pre-season depth charts and takes them particularly seriously.

We won't know how good or bad the schedule is until after the season is over.

And this is what pisses me off. There are seriously JFF fanboys who are rooting against Hoyer, hoping he sucks, breaks a leg, etc. Periodically, I will tune in to 92.3 on my morning commute hoping they have a national guest on there. Chuck Booms is so hard on JFF's jock that he's probably flossing with his pubes. He genuinely wants Hoyer to fail.

I just want good QB play and from what I see, right now, I'm skeptical we're going to get it. Both of these guys have a LONG way to go. I know it's training camp/preseason but none of them look NFL ready.

Always laugh when people complain or talk about the schedule like this. 14 of the 16 games of teams in your division have the same schedule! I got into it with a browns fan a number of years ago how were crying how the opposing records from the previous season was much tougher than the steelers. Well, it was, but that was because the browns were playing the steelers who were like 11-5 and ravens who were about the same record and the steelers were playing the4-12 browns.

It is all about when you play someone. You can run into a good team when they are struggling a bit, or a bad team who starts to play well. Doesnt matter...NFL schedule is as about as fair as possible when you compare teams in a division.

Obviously your learning ability sucks. What I said was that Pettine's placing the number ones second on the depth chart shows that he is joking...and that the depth chart does in fact mean nothing in preseason. Try to keep up.

Has absolutely nothing to do with rooting against Hoyer. Nice spin. What it means is what it is. Manziel's talent far exceeds that of Hoyer. Nothing against him personally. He's simply not very good. The guy ranks anywhere from 25 to 28 in the power ratings for quarterbacks. That seems about right.

I have a lot of faith on Pettine and Shanahan. They will play the best player..it's that fucking simple. It ain't gonna be the journeyman, undrafted free agent from St. Ignatius for very long. Trust me. Care to make a wager? LOL. I didn't think so.

9-7. Maybe better...depends on injuries and the Gordon suspension. Already loaded up on over 6.5 wins for the season but was juiced at 7-5.

Why would anyone on this board take you seriously in a "wager?" You're all over the place. At first it's "Manziel will start in week 1" and now it's "It ain't gonna be the journeyman, undrafted free agent from St. Ignatius for very long. Trust me. Care to make a wager?"

    7-9

Defense is going to be REALLY good and I'd bet they have a top 5-8 running game but QB will hold them back again.
  • vball10set
I'm going to sit on the fence at 8-8.

We better win 10 games. If we do not win 10 games, fire the coach and the GM.
  • thavoice
WIth Gordon I think they can get to 9+wins.
WIthout him I think they are 6-7 wins.

Yeah, because doing that has been such a successful recipe for this franchise.

Don't even bother. He's a ***** who will just make excuses when it actually comes down to it.

I have a hard time believing that one! Based on the JM hype maybe?
