2014 Cleveland Browns Offseason Thread

I dont think I really had issues with Fox until Manziel. His bias towards Hoyer and everything against Manziel is unbearable.

You must not listen very often because Dustin is not anti Johhny.....at all. In fact he was all but pleading with the Browns to draft JMFF during draft week.

I dont listen very often because I cant stand sports talk radio in general, let alone Cleveland's. I did follow on twitter and I've seen all I need to make my case. I mean he publicly stated he wants Hoyer to start. How is that not anti-manziel?

Thinking the Manziel isn't ready to start, doesn't make him Anti-Manziel, he's more Pro-Hoyer than anything.

FW Thinks Manziel is some freakish Combo of Fran Tarkenton/Joe Namath/Peyton Manning/Tom Brady. And I wouldn't classify him as anti Hoyer, he's just pro Manziel.

I want sausage pizza tomorrow. That doesn't mean I'm anti-pepperoni.

Pretty weak arguments, guys. He doesn't know jack shit whether Manziel is/will be ready to start or not. Neither do you or I. He should want whoever is best to start. Not doing some lobbying bullshit before Manziel ever took a snap in an NFL game.

And something else that annoys me about Dustin Fox. I don't give a rat's ass about his professional experience. He was a 3rd round pick and had EIGHT tackles in his 4 year career. You could put me on kickoff and I could fall down in front of a guy and luck into EIGHT tackles in 4 seasons. Whatever he did didn't work obviously, so shut up about it.

LMAO as well. Also got a good lol out this:

    "College career
Fox was a 4-year starter for The Ohio State University, He helped lead the team to the BCS National Championship in 2002 at the Fiesta Bowl and was considered one of the Buckeyes most consistent players throughout his tenure at the school. He graduated with a Communications major."

Remember that play getting the forced fumble on Krenzel's Int? LOL ME EITHER.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/8494/type/college/dustin-fox

    lol what a joke.

I suppose you think Greg Brinda is the second coming. Idiots tend to think alike. Brinda said as recently as 3 days ago that Browns fans that think for a minute Manziel will be a successful quarterback here are nuts. What an effin dolt. You...Brinda..and BR1986...separated at birth.
Not surprised in this coming from you since you don't have an original thought/opinion in your head. You just regurgitate, verbatim, everything the clowns on 92.3 spew out.

You think Chuck Booms, who is claiming he forced the Browns to draft Manziel and brought him to the city, is some kind of "genius" when in fact he's one of the dumbest arrogant assholes on the planet. Believe me, I know the pompous fuck personally.

For the most part, the Cleveland radio "personalities" have no more sports "knowledge" than anyone on this message board, except for you, of course.

Wow--that is laughable. Classic Cleveland sports radio guy.

Fox was a stud at OSU, and the fact that he actually HAD a pro career makes him exponentially more credible to comment on this compared to posters on a message board.
I don't listen much to the talking heads and when I do, I don't put too much stock in what they say. Their job is to make an entertaining and interesting program that keeps people engaged....and it sounds like he did just that.
  • SportsAndLady
Pick hasn't made an educated claim in like 4 days...maybe he should stick to his bread and butter, the Dallas Cowboys...not his "second team" (what a joke), the Browns.

Booms is a clown. He, along with Grossi, think the Cleveland media/sports talk has the power to run coaches & owners out of Cleveland with their "power."

Agree to disagree. Yes, Fox was a stud at OSU but it doesn't make him credible. The "message board" comment was used for effect. He (Fox) comes off like a homer fanboy on the radio. Bull (his partner), who is a New Yorker, is the more credible/level headed of the two.

And Booms (who you didn't mention)? His claim to fame was being a national comedy act and former host of the revamped Gong Show. Hardly "qualified" to be a sports talk guy. His schtick is purely based on shock value emotion.

essentially everyone is agreeing with me besides OSU homers who are infatuated with Fox, but ok. I'd rather go 4 days without making an "educated" claim rather than never.

I have seen two other ones. They came with a sticker on the shirt saying that they are not affiliated with any league, person or entity!

You guys are both right. Fox was good at OSU and him having a pro career does objectively make him credible, but a lot of the crap he's spewed has chipped away at his credibility.

I'm sure Chuck Booms speaks highly of you too. As for agreeing with the guys in the animal house on each and every thing they say.,..you're an idiot...plain and simple. Try reading posts before you vomit, mmmkay? I called the radio station because I disagreed with what Fox and his substitute sidekick were saying regarding Manziel's trip to Vegas. Try paying attention buttwipe.

My guess is that Greg Brinda is your twin brother. How's Brandon Weeden's rocket arm making out these days?

I don't listen to the talking heads much at all, but when I do I don't mind a guy who is a homer as long as he is credible, at least to some degree. I'll take your word that he's gone overboard to the point that he is not believable.

Sorry, gramps but I've been lurking, reading the posts on here (not posting) since this JFF stuff started and you're spewing out, verbatim, 92.3's opinions. Right down to that Feinstein, or whatever the Hell his name was, when he was on with them a few weeks ago. I was laughing my ass off as I was reading your posts because nothing was original, just recycled bullshit from some radio jocks.

I'll be the first to admit I was on the Weeden bandwagon for too long but I jumped off that train LONG ago. I'm not stupid. After reading the dumbfuckery you've been spewing on here, it begs the question, what's YOUR excuse?
