If he really just wanted to play in Cleveland he should have come out and publicly stated he would only play for Cleveland because that's where he wants to play. The reality is, he saw himself dropping and wanted to get drafted in the 1st round for more guaranteed money.
Yeah he shouldve told all the teams before the draft that he wanted to play in Cleveland. That's a great strategy sleeper

Well he wants to play in Cleveland right? Please. He wanted to get drafted in Round 1 and knew that Cleveland had him on the draft board somewhere.

Manziel will be out of the league in 3 years.

You're trying to act like me with weeden, but you're gonna be wrong and I was right.

I said the same thing about Weeden. I hope I'm wrong, but I have no confidence that Manziel is going to be anything special.

    .
I have to think most teams had him on their draft board somewhere.

Oh, you think all rookie QBs are gonna be out of the league in 3 years? Tell us more...

This year at least, yes. I don't think any of the QBs drafted will be in the league in 3 years; Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater, etc.

And so is Weeden, your point? Out of the league in 3 years means irrelevant in 3 years. We won't be seeing Weeden do anything in the NFL ever again.
  • SportsAndLady
So according to sleeper. Out of the league = in the league

Then you should say they all will be holding clip boards in three years.

Pardon me for considering a 3rd string QB in the league. Hell Vince Young is still "in the league" but he hasn't done anything meaningful since being cut by the Titans.

Holding a clipboard as QB is only slighter greater than being out of the league.

I believe it's a minimum of $675,000 greater than being out of the league.

Do you realize how retarded you sound?

    Let me get this straight...

Sleeper: manziel will be out of the league in 3 years.

Sleeper: manziel will be holding a clipboard in 3 years.

    Us: those aren't the same.

Sleeper: well, holding a clipboard is only slighter better than out of the league; therefore, I am right.

Man, you'd have thought Mr. CashMoneyMakin'Bank would realize the fiscal significance of being a clipboard holder and how much greater it'd be than for those guys to be doing things like being a jim teecher because they truly weren't in the league.

My question from not really reading the column: In the picture with the two fans, one holding the "THANK YOU BROWNS" sign, is the guy not holding the sign Gibby? And if so, when he convert to Cleveland?

The broader point. You missed it.

    I don't think so--Gibby's a lot goofier looking.

    Broader point. You missed it.

Manziel will never win anything meaningful and will be irrelevant in the NFL in 3 years.

Then that's what you should have said. Instead you are stuck spinning your original comments.
