2013/14 NBA season chatter - let the LBJ hating begin!

robj55Lebron with 49 and still passing and making the right decisions down the stretch, why he's the best.
-
Midstate01My guess is tomorrow, Skip Bayless will say that Lebron had 49 but down the stretch he was passing because he didn't want the blame if they lost.. he always has some sort of stupid remark. I thought lebron would be more aggressive down the stretch, but he made some perfect passes that got buckets or got guys wide open looks. I thought it was impressive that he didn't try to do too much, when imo he was getting fatigued from not sitting.

Ironman92Why would anyone watch/listen to anything with Skip Bayless?

luckily it's already over by the time I get up. But on my apple TV I watch the watchespn app and I'll just put it in clips from the day and usually gear his rants that way.Ironman92;1615622 wrote:Why would anyone watch/listen to anything with Skip Bayless? -
wildcats20Stan Van Gundy is taking over in Detroit as head coach and president of basketball operations.

Mulva5 years, $35 mil? Damn homie.
-
wildcats20Yup. Definitely took the money over opportunity at success.

robj55Detroit's roster really is pretty good, they should have been a playoff team.
-
like_thatInb4 classy tells us Detroit's roster is better than the 96 bulls.

They won 29 games. Finished 9 games back of the playoffs. In the God awful Eastern Conference.
I will admit there is some talent there, but come on. -
robj55
Doesn't talent correlate with their roster? Their front court alone consists of Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond. I'm not a huge fan of Brandon Jennings but there is no doubt that he is very talented. I like Rodney Stuckey a lot as a 6th man. Will Bynum is a nice change of pace off the bench as well. That team should have made the playoffs in the East with that roster. Obviously something missing, perhaps coaching.wildcats20;1615961 wrote:Lol.

Laley23Everyone I know from Toledo who follows the NBA (ie Cavs and Pistons) knew that was gonna be a disaster of a roster. You have 90% of the roster who doesnt want to pass and has no clue how to win. It is literally no surprise at all they didnt make the playoffs, and Ill be shocked if next year is any different without major changes.

Yeah I won't disagree there, but there are some building blocks. Might just need the right guy to come in and make them understand the concept of team basketball.Laley23;1615973 wrote:Everyone I know from Toledo who follows the NBA (ie Cavs and Pistons) knew that was gonna be a disaster of a roster. Id say Monroe and Drummond are the blocks, but they wont both stay there. Monroe is probably gone.robj55;1615976 wrote:Yeah I won't disagree there, but there are some building blocks. Might just need the right guy to come in and make them understand the concept of team basketball.
Jennings and Smith arent changing. Terrible players if you want to do anything more then sell tickets. Same with Stuckey. Its amazing to me they signed those guys after the disaster that was Charlie V and Ben Gordon... -
robj55
Is Monroe a UFA? I'm not a fan of Jennings, he has no concept of how to run an actual team and be a leader from the PG spot. Smith I could live with because he is productive, only thing I don't like about him is shot selection at times. He could get 15 and 10 just by playing hard, not even having to take jump shots. I like Stuckey in a 6th man role, think he is really good there.Laley23;1615979 wrote:Id say Monroe and Drummond are the blocks, but they wont both stay there. Monroe is probably gone.

lol no, team is trash. Josh Smith, Stuckey, and Jennings I would pay not to have on my team. They're terrible.robj55;1615969 wrote:Doesn't talent correlate with their roster?
