Lakers couldn't play defense if a gun was to their head.

So, do Hollywood types still go to Laker games to be seen on TV or are they too embarrassed to show their faces there now?

    Pelicans blew it against Memphis....

Didn't score in the final 3:40 and Memphis scored final 9 points and won on a near buzzer beating floated by Mike Conley.

Pelicans called a timeout with 33 seconds left and immediately jacked a 30 foot shot lol.

Scary news in that Austin Rivers had 14 pts/9 asst

I didn't think commissioners could become any more annoying than David Stern was, but Adam Silver isn't wasting much time.
"The coaches and players, or some subset of that group, trying to lose, I don't think that's going on anywhere in the NBA,"

Meanwhile, the 76ers are on an 18-game losing streak. Somehow, Milwaukee is worse than they are in the standings. BUT, neither team is trying to accomplish that.

I agree that coaches and players may not be trying to lose because their jobs are on the line in potential future contracts.

But management sure does have a hand in putting together a team lacking talent and sufficient coaching to ensure their win total is as low as possible without actively trying to convince players and coaches to tank it. Plus, I bet players realize the situation management has put them in and stop caring as much (but still not actively losing) about winning as a team and trying to get individual stats so they look good.

And I think this is basically what he said. He's just trying to make us believe this isn't tanking but just rebuilding.

The Eyebrow is going nuts right now.

38 and 15, on 13/20 shooting and 12/12 at the line.

Finished with 40 and 21 on 14/22 and 12/12 in a 121-120 OT win vs Boston.

    That's impressive.

Is Davis a top 10 player in the league right now?

I know someone on Mike and Mike recently said top 5 (forget who), but I wouldnt go that far.

No he helped beat boston in ot. Don't make it out for more than that. To be top 10 you gotta stay healthy IMO.
  • Azubuike24
He turned 21 a week ago, still one of the younger players in the league. I wouldn't say top 10 overall, but he's top 2 if I'm starting a franchise for the next decade.

Wasnt saying he was myself, but I think going into next year, the argument will be there.

Id have him in my top 15 right now (without digging into research, just off the top of my head I think I would have him there), and even higher if we are talking about starting a team, as Az said (but not #2).

Kinda wondered if Lebron was taking a stab at Wade, who missed another game last night. Too bad the Heat are a mess in March and not in May.
  • wildcats20
So how bad is it really in New York?

The Lakers scored 51, 3rd quarter points and beat them by 31 last night in LA.

Top 10 in talent perhaps, but as COA said there's more than just talent involved. It doesn't help having a top 10 player if he can't stay healthy (looking at you Kyrie :RpS_sneaky:)

Pacers/Heat has lived up to the hype.
  • Ironman92
Yeah...good. ET taking over, Wade pulls up lame
  • Ironman92
    Lol....bit quite over

Instant classic for Miami or statement win by Indy?
  • Ironman92
Lol Bosh missed hideously....Hibbert good pop out
  • robj55
That rule of verticality is garbage, jump with your hands straight in the air INTO someone and it's not a foul. If you can't rotate quick enough to get the position it's a foul period. That was a great game that was reffed horribly both ways.
  • KB0938
Yeah that wasnt even remotely close by Bosh lol, wasnt expecting that
