Commander of AwesomeLittle off topic rob, but I'm looking forward to seeing jarvis varnado this year. BEAST in the preseason.

Yeah....but Flynn is just as bad. He wasn't even any good in college...he got paid because of one good gamerobj55;1514474 wrote:I thought you hated Weeden? -

That was pretty hilarious... can't believe I hadn't heard about this in the last 2 months.Heretic;1513000 wrote:I think you need to put a package together to get this guy. Because every team needs a real American. Can't believe I haven't seen this before...the best part is showing the "highlight" of a completion in a game his team trails in by a 24-3 margin.

C'mon man, do you always have to take shit and run with it? I made an opinion about what I saw in the limited time I saw him play, let it be.Commander of Awesome;1514557 wrote:Little off topic rob, but I'm looking forward to seeing jarvis varnado this year. BEAST in the preseason. -
shook_17^^ Yeah bro. Weeden killed it this preseason. You should never base a season projection off preseason. fuck

vball10setHope Johnson plays, 'cause I want to see how Haden handles him.

Always cracks me up how they show "highlights" of guys in this way and on draft day. My favorites is when they show a LB or DL making a sack on a play that they were not even blocked at all.Heretic;1513000 wrote:I think you need to put a package together to get this guy. Another pet peeve is after a sack and they show the secondary and "no one is open". Well... the GOOD QB's complete passes when a receiver just has body position on the defender and the QB leads the receiver and makes him open.
but anyways...... -

I never projected anything, just saying that you can see tendencies in preseason. Footwork, reads, accuracy, decision making, all things you can get a gauge on in preseason, that's all.shook_17;1514784 wrote:^^ Yeah bro. Weeden killed it this preseason. You used preseason to say that Flynn was better than Weeden.robj55;1514913 wrote:I never projected anything, just saying that you can see tendencies in preseason. Footwork, reads, accuracy, decision making, all things you can get a gauge on in preseason, that's all. -

There are some things you can recognize in preseason. You mostly can recognize the bad things though when they make mistakes. Some of the good things you may see ya truly dont know until the regular season for sure unless you are in the film room having each play broken down. Ya may think a QB is making solid reads and decision making but until the defenses really start dialing up their schemes it is just all speculation especially for a new guy. Ya see some of the QBs saying that the difference in preseason and regular season is night and day.robj55;1514913 wrote:I never projected anything, just saying that you can see tendencies in preseason. Kinda like hitting in spring training. If a guy isnt hitting in ST there is level of concern...especially for a young guy, but if he is hitting well you are cautiously optimistic because you know he isnt facing the type of talent he will in the reg season. -

All fair points, wasn't trying to make a solid judgement one way or the other. They are both similar players I just said that I feel Flynn is more accurate. We kl=now based on what we have seen over the last year that Weeden is not accurate enough to win on this level consistently.thavoice;1514922 wrote:There are some things you can recognize in preseason. I'm saying that he could be, more accurate. I know you guys aren't believers in Weeden so I don't see why you wouldn't wanna have a look at him if he can be had for cheap.Commander of Awesome;1514915 wrote:You used preseason to say that Flynn was better than Weeden. -

In the short game, but you have to remember we watched Colt McCoy. When you have a guy that's accurrate int he short game, in a vertical based offense (Norv's system) it's not a fit and doesn't work. Also when you have a powder paw slingin the ball, the def doesn't have to respect the deep ball and thus cram the box and effectively take away the short game. Plus when you factor our lack of run game, it doesn't end well. There's not a scenario I can envision in which Flynn comes in and doesn't completely stink up the joint.robj55;1514929 wrote:I'm saying that he could be, more accurate. I respect that, Flynn doesn't throw it down the field much. Weeden does but not accurately, Flynn could be captain checkdown 2.0.Commander of Awesome;1514937 wrote:In the short game, but you have to remember we watched Colt McCoy. He's expected to play according to stephania bell. However, if Haden wins the matchup, I can already hear the nay sayers giving CJ an excuse. Lose lose situation for Haden.like_that;1514940 wrote:Just stop rob. What a fucking stupid discussion. Anyway, what's the status of CJ? -

When you consider our WRs, Gordon, down thread thread, Benjamin, Down the field threat and our "check downs" Little and Bess (little can't catch shit) it puts basically Bess against their def. While Bess is a solid vet WR, he's not a game changer.robj55;1514945 wrote:I respect that, Flynn doesn't throw it down the field much. I can see classlesspusster doing that. He reaches for any built in excuse he can find, and when things go his way he talks shit like he was confident the whole time.Commander of Awesome;1514946 wrote:He's expected to play according to stephania bell. Yeah, don't really see him too much on this thread, right now, but if Detroit gets a lead on Sunday.....the cockroaches will come out of the woodwork.like_that;1514951 wrote:I can see classlesspusster doing that. Dr. KnOiTaLLOff topic, but thought this was comical and the definition of Tony Romo...
Stats of the Week
According to Football Outsiders’ Scott Kacsmar, Tony Romo is the first quarterback in league history to lose a game where he attempted more than 30 passes and posted a 140-plus QB rating … and he’s now done it twice. Per Kacsmar, non-Romo quarterbacks are 159-0-1 since 1960 when throwing at least four touchdowns and posting a 140-plus QB rating. Romo is 1-2. -
BR1986FBPete Prisco (CBS Sports) who is a notorious Browns basher has them winning this game 21-20.

Commander of AwesomeShread and groves back at practice today. Winn still idle.
