Reds @ Padres...Game 1

  • Ironman92
    Hoping this isn't a fail.

Great ballpark for the bats to wake up...... Lets hope the offense finds its mojo back from the San Fran series. A few tough lefties so we knew it was going to be tough sledding in LA. Lets just hope the team doesn't lose steam and just limp home. Tonite will show how this team is going to approach the rest of the west coast trip. If they are listless again tonight then I expect this final leg to be a disaster and we can only hope the Cards lose as well.

Tomorrow night, Latos vs Volquez. So many storylines. Bottom line, the Padres suck. A sweep is expected.
  • Rotinaj
A sweep is expected. Ill be excited if we can snag 1 from the juggernaut known as the Dads.

After yesterday, apparently Dusty decided it was time to break out the high-offense line-up, I see.

Im fully expecting this shitty ass lineup to score like 8 runs and Dusty is going think to himself "Damn, im a fucking baller at this managing shit"
  • Ironman92
This pitcher is awful against righties....prefer Heisey but Paul will probably be fine.
  • Ironman92
And It's is hitting second because he needs AB because he rarely starts.

Would have been nice for one of the batters in the "table setting" part of the line-up would have reached before Votto's double which would have knocked in a runner from first.

SD bullpen must be weak, or thought to be weak, on lefty relievers if Votto and Bruce are batting consecutively.

    Lol....exactly

I'm just glad I finally get to set down and watch a game, unfortunate I have to watch this lineup though.
  • mhs95_06
Two out hits and walks are over-rated, unless they cause runs to cross the plate!

Is Choo dealing with an injury?
  • mhs95_06
Venable beating up Meso with fouls!
  • mhs95_06
Good job by Leake after he had runner on 2nd and 1 out.

I think its more dealing with Korean media on this west coast trip!
  • sherm03
Nobody I'd rather have up when the Reds are in need of a two-out hit than Cesar!

    Fucker.
  • mhs95_06
Reds have had 5 batters reach base in two innings, but all after two outs, and no runs. The positive is that Votto will lead-off the 3rd. With the individuals in the line-up tonight, I think a more effective line-up would be the same order, but start with Votto leading off to give Votto, Bruce, Frazier, Paul, and Mesoraco more chances to bat.
  • mhs95_06
The good feet of Mike Leake get the 2nd out on a potentially problematic chopper toward SS.
  • se-alum
The important thing is to get ballers like Cesar the most at-bats possible! Great job Dusty!
