He is +3. That is not REAL bad. That is better than average.

Tiger not being Tiger is pretty self explanatory to me...Im not sure what you dont get. Im saying we are used to him just blowing people away when he plays well and like himself. So when he doesnt do that, it seems bad.

It means that people still think Tiger is as good as the old Tiger, even though hasn't played like it for years.

I've only caught small portions of each round but I believe he is +6 in the 8 or 9 holes I've watched. I've seen two chunked chips, 2 missed four foot putts and about 5 wrist/elbow owies during that time.

I said Tiger would struggle here and he definitely is, the one who really needs to get his shit together is Rory however. Don't give me this equipment change shit, he hasn't done a damn thing all season except for a few top 10s. IMO that's unacceptable since when he's been on he has totally blown the field away when he is on. Just very inconsistent, and for someone as good as he is that's gotta change

Now here's an explanation that works. Thank you.

btw, Laley, do you consider +9 (after a 6-over 76) "REAL bad"?

Based on what the entire field is doing, no.

I so badly want Phil to pull this out today, but I just don't see it. He misses too many of those short ones under pressure, and it has cost him a few opens now. Not to mention that everything is just lined up too well for it to actually happen. It's his birthday, Father's day, and he's leading the Open. If it seems too good to be true it usually is.

If he does end up collapsing I really hope it's early, because I can't take another Winged Foot where he just throws it away when he almost has his hands on the trophy.

Based on what our expectation of Tiger is, whether real or perceived, yes...and I would venture to say that he would say the same.

I don't believe Tiger will ever be the golfer he once was. But a lot of fans still view him as the best. He isn't as dominant as in years past. But, I would still bet on him when he's on.

    +12 thru 7...lol

Lol, you literally just said what I've been trying to say. It isn't real bad...except when your comparing it to Tiger of old.

When you said it, he was what? 3 over?

    That would be in contention.
  • SportsAndLady
But it also doesn't surprise me if you hated Tiger...since he's black and all.

Jason day looks good today sitting at +1
  • Ironman92
    Charl struggling on 6
  • se-alum
Gonna be a fun finish I believe.

It almost has to be....but I could see Rose winning by 3 as well.

Day is just killing himself right now.
  • Ironman92
Also....if they all fall apart a bit....Ernie at +4 in the clubhouse might be interesting!
  • Ironman92
Day chips in for bogey....so damn young and brash lol
  • Crimson streak
Huge chip in by day there to only drop 1 shot
  • Crimson streak
That was a nice shot by Phil. Would have been a great shot if it would have stuck
  • Ironman92
#9 is silly long par 3 but it is downhill. Back in high school during districts we played somewhere around Beverly/Marietta and one of their par 3's was 255.
  • Crimson streak
    Damn phil needed that
