    What's not to like!!!

Well shit. Hope Nerlens is good. I thought as long as we didn't get #1 the top 3 would make me happy. Wiz could get Noel, Magic get McLemore and we get Porter. Now this changes that.
  • slingshot4ever
    Better not take Nerlens
  • robj55
A 206 lb center going #1 overall possibly? Man the game has changed.
  • like_that
Do you trade down if you are the Cavs?
  • slingshot4ever
I want McLemore or Potter. Trade down a little if someone wants Nerlen that bad.

My post from earlier in the thread..

I dont have the time to look up specifics, so dont murder me if Im wrong on a guy or two, but Noel's weight right now is low, obviously because he is coming off of an ACL tear. His playing weight, however, is very similar to Anthony Davis, Larry Sanders, Joakhim Noah, KG, and Tyson Chandler when they went out for the draft.

Quote from USA today article "225 is where I was about," said Noel on Friday at the combine. "That's where I got to in the offseason while I was at Kentucky

Porter would look just as nice next to Wall and Beal as he would next to Kyrie and Waiters. Kind of blows thinking about that.
  • Trueblue23
Cavs get the #1 pick in a terrible draft. That sucks.

Doesn't make sense to me why someones in season weight would be higher, normally it is harder to put on and sustain weight during the season. Off season is when you put on the weight, not the other way around, weird.

They said the same thing the year Kyrie was drafted. Im not complaining.

Maybe him tearing his ACL and rehabbing has something to do him losing weight?
  • Pick6
@WindhorstESPN: With cap space, 2 first round picks & interest in improving fast, the Cavs will investigate trade options with No. 1 pick

Cant blame them for exploring options..Im sure somebody out there really likes Noel.

Possibly, but being inactive you would think he would weigh more now than he did during the season. I have a friend who plays professionally and he always talks about how impossible it is to put on weight during the season, because it's such a constant grind.

Right, it was a bad draft with one franchise player (Kyrie). If the Cavs had gotten the #2 pick that year it would've sucked, just like this year. There just isn't that franchise guy in this draft.

Noel will be a good defensive player who will score off of offensive rebounds... but the dudes offensive game is terrible.
  • ernest_t_bass
Wow. #1 for 2x in 3 years. Pretty sweet.

Stupid nba rule with the 1 year of college. Wiggins would be fucking awesome. I honestly wouldn't mind trading the first pick to minny for love and their first rounder. Trade both firsts and seconds into the top 5, take oladepo, porter if he's there or Len
  • robj55
The thing is, if you take Nerlens, you have two young front court players who aren't good on offense. They can rebound and defend, but how are they going to score besides being setup from Kyrie(if he stays healthy).

I'm with ya. Love and #9 for #1 and would they want Tristan too? Not sure if taking Noel they could be redundant with Tristan actually bringing more offense.

I actually like that idea, it just sucks Love is always hurt. Love and Irving would be a killer duo in the East, throw in Oladepo's defense with the young talent they already have...

Take Ben McLemore. He is going to be really, really good. And the Cavs need a wing.

    Irving
    Waiters
    B-Mac
    TT
    Andy

    This.

I don't want Nerlens. Great defensively, but not much offensive game. You don't take that player #1 overall.

I think he'll be a defensive anchor, but you don't look for that with the money associated with a #1 pick.
