So they'd get 13+mill backAn insurance industry expert confirmed if Rose were to miss all of next season, the team would get back 80 percent of his total salary. -

100% guarantee Kobe would be on the court right now. No fucking way he sits for multiple months after being cleared especially to miss huge playoff games.Gblock;1439191 wrote:Kobe never missed a season with a torn acl however we will get to see you test your theory when he tries to come back from achilles..I bet he doesn't rush it like his other wrist and thumb injuries -

well see...kobe has had nagging injuries..not major knee injuries. he has had finger, wrist, shoulder and ankle sprains...not exactly a good comparison. not saying he isnt a tough sob but its not really fair to compare the two... achillies is another injury that can cause u to mentally question when your ready to make an explosive move so that would be a much better comparison.Rotinaj;1439330 wrote:100% guarantee Kobe would be on the court right now. the knee is the basis for everything you do its not like you can just shake it off or play a certain way to protect an injury. what was the date of the derrick rose injury? has it even been a full calendar year? -

im sure this will change Gblocks pov 0. He's not 110%, he shouldn't play! Fire the doctor who said he's been cleared for months! Seriously though, it's one or the other. Either this doctor is a moron or rose is being a *****.wildcats20;1439349 wrote:More than a calendar year -

He tore it at the very end of April last year so like 1 year and 1 week ago.Gblock;1439351 wrote:by how much? -
Gblocki dont see it as one or the other..so you guys are calling him a itch because he wasnt playing after 10 months? a year is about what it takes for most people. and being ready physically is different than being mentally confident on a leg. plus there could be nerve damage.
anyway i find it funny to think that anyone would think that he could even help at this point. he probably would do more damage than good. he hasnt played in a year, everyone else is peaking and hes obviously seriously rusty and probably injured. no way he would play well.

doubt it. Its very unlikely he is going to miss all of next season.SportsAndLady;1439328 wrote:So they'd get 13+mill back -

Derrick Rose isn't hurt.
He is practicing at 100%. And has been. He is just being a bitch. He is going full go, but refuses to play. -

Gblocknba practices are not full contact btw and its funny as a society we now expect someone to come back from major knee surgery in less than a year but everyone is entitled to their opinion. im not a derrick rose fan but hes certainly not a *itch.

It's been over a year. Get off the 10 months. And a year is what it takes for most people. Most people also don't have access to world class doctors and treatment, rehab everyday, whatever it takes.Gblock;1439358 wrote:i dont see it as one or the other..so you guys are calling him a itch because he wasnt playing after 10 months? a year is about what it takes for most people. and being ready physically is different than being mentally confident on a leg. plus there could be nerve damage.

LOL at this whole post. Please tell me your joking that you think NBA practices aren't full contact? I mean sure right now when the Bulls are playing a playoff game every other night they probably aren't but during the regular season some most certainly are. Hell the Heat were doing full contact practices last week to stay playoff ready.Gblock;1439372 wrote:nba practices are not full contact btw and its funny as a society we now expect someone to come back from major knee surgery in less than a year but everyone is entitled to their opinion. im not a derrick rose fan but hes certainly not a *itch.
Also I don't expect him to just come back. But when he has been cleared and practicing for over 2 months then yes I do expect him to be back especially since you know his teammates are all out fighting with everything they have. -

this would be 10 mos?? multiple people on this thread are saying he should have been playing 2-3 months ago. im not the one who keeps bringing it up. its ludicris to think we expect someone to play in the nba in less than a year. as far as you comment that its been a year..well by one week dude doesnt make you a *itch. he knows his body, he doesnt have a history of being a *itch so im going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. noah defended rose after the game and disagreed with those questioning the injury. if you listen to the soundbite he was pretty adament.Rotinaj;1439190 wrote:Well I'm guessing the doctor who cleared him has plenty of experience with injuries. Just a hunch. If he was cleared 2 weeks ago and still didn't feel right then I'd have no problem, but 2 months??? -
Pick6My understanding is that the insurance paid 80% of half of his salary this season. The Bulls had to pay a half season deductible. If he werent to play at all next season, the Bulls wouldnt have to pay a deductible and would get 80% of his total salary paid by insurance (~13 mil). Im not even sure why we are debating it, though, because Rose is keeping himself out, not the organization.
My theory is Rose's knee is as healthy as its going to get. He has been practicing full contact for 3 months, and has been cleared by a doctor to play for two months. Maybe Rose realizes right now that he currently isnt as good as before the injury. But maybe he needs to realize his knee is completely healed and he just wont be as good ever again. It is what it is and he needs to quit holding out on his teammates and fan base. -

Classyposter58Thing is Rose isn't hurt lol. He's been cleared to play for the last 60 days. I understand an extra week, but 2 whole months! I'd trade him for the #1 pick next year, get Wiggins, and restart

If you can dunk the ball you can play. -

Havent heard about that. But if I saw him doing 360 dunks and not playing, I would flip shit if I were a Bulls fan.rydawg5;1439657 wrote:People are saying he is doing 360 dunks in pregame? Also cleared to play for over 2 months?
