Derrick Rose

Classyposter58How is this guy not getting killed? If this was Dwight Howard ESPN would literally have exploded by now. He was cleared to play 58 days ago and is still not dressing. Let me say that again, he is still not playing and was cleared 58 days ago! What a fucking joke that the clear lone superstar of his team, wouldn't help in a series that went 7, and now is not playing Game 1 against the best team in the league in the Conference Semifinals.
If I were the Bulls I would trade him asap, get someone a little mentally tougher -
karen lotzHow about Jay Cutler getting killed in the same city for coming out of a game after trying to play on his injured knee?
-
Pick6yeah, he is a puss in my book. Really letting him team and the fanbase down, IMO.
-
Pick6Heard they are putting as statue outside of the United Center for him...
-
wes_mantoothYeah, this is worse than when Lebron quit in game 5 a couple years ago....the face of the word "mental *****"
EDIT: lol....i guess i mean "mental sissy" -

GblockI couldn't disagree more. He's not the type of player that can play at 80-90 percent and just shoot outside, his jumper isnt that great. He makes slashing explosive plays. As he stated his muscle memory in his knee does not feel right. If u mentally don't feel confident on your knee you won't be effective. Its crazy to think you should have to come back in 10 mos just because ap can do it. No player at least no star player has missed the whole season and been able to come in the playoffs and play well. I feel if he could play he would. He's a former mvp and a hard worker. I feel like if he tried to play he would get hurt. Why else would he not play?

Because he's a ***** and doesn't want to become LeBron's bitch? -
SportsAndLadyHe looks like a bitch, for sure. But who knows how "ready" he is. We, and no one else, know exactly how he feels playing on that leg.
But I honestly don't see how he can sit out in the conf. semi's against the Heat. Being a former athlete, you'd have to rip my leg off for me not to go out there. -

Mentally tougher? The fuck does that have to do with this?
He said his knee doesn't feel right. If it doesn't feel right, it doesn't feel right. I'd be feeling the same way if I were in his shoes. You sat almost the entire year, why rush it and risk ANOTHER major injury?
If I were the Chicago shot callers I would have put him on the shelf until next year to prevent any and all talk of his return. -

This Xs 1000000. He might not be 100% but He is better than most of his teammates at 75-80%SportsAndLady;1439131 wrote: But I honestly don't see how he can sit out in the conf. semi's against the Heat. Being a former athlete, you'd have to rip my leg off for me not to go out there. -

They weren't the ones who got this going, it's the doctors who said you are fully healthy to play. But come on I broke my thumb around Christmas one year, and the second I was cleared to golf again I did. I know it's golf but considering you're left thumb is the one you put on the club and the most pressure on it was a bad injury. It still hurt a bit, I could feel the bone bending a tad, and my glove was blood soaked as it seeped through the nail, but I still played. And I'm not even a pro athlete, who's team with may have a shot at a world titleAutomatik;1439136 wrote:I'm with you.

GblockMaybe if we were talking about a shoulder or a wrist or something yea there are injuries u can tough out..coming back from a knee injury isn't one of them. No way you become the mvp of the league without being one of the most physically and mentally tough people on the planet. All these guys are world class athletes. If u can't move, can't cut u can't play.
Practice? We talking about practice? How hard do you think they play in practice. Either way it doesn't compare to playoff bball -

wes_mantoothMy thing is that he cleared and has been dunking and playing full contact. In reality, it doesn't matter...they aren't going to win the series and the bulls aren't going to ever win anything with him.

Oh man, such a tough guy!!!
Anyway, if I am a coach and my player still seems passive about his major injury, I don't want him to play. He would probably hurt the team more than help since he hasn't played all year, and also if you go out passive, you are setting yourself up to be injured again. -

You just compared your thumb injury and golf to Derrick Rose's ACL injury.Classyposter58;1439146 wrote:They weren't the ones who got this going, it's the doctors who said you are fully healthy to play. You're done here.:laugh::laugh: -
MulvaSemi-off topic, but the Bulls might steal game 1. Nate Robinson doing it again.
-
GblockAs far as your left hand goes on the club u should be feeling more pressure from your ring and pinky finger and very little on your left thumb. No charge for that
-
GblockWth does he has been dunking have to do with playing in a game?
-
Crimson streakWell the bulls take game 1 from the heat maybe they don't need rose

Yep. Not with mental pussies like him, anyways.wes_mantooth;1439157 wrote:My thing is that he cleared and has been dunking and playing full contact. In reality, it doesn't matter...they aren't going to win the series and the bulls aren't going to ever win anything with him.
Full contact practice for 3 months
Cleared to play for two months.
Still sitting on the bench during the biggest games of the year because "it doesnt feel right".
Suck it up. -

You forget that Derrick Rose is an investment. There is no reason to rush it. None.
I bet you people were the also calling Crosby a bitch when he was sitting for so long after having his brain scrambled.
