Is Flacco "Elite"?
-
TiernanIts no secret I hate the ratbirds and thats mostly because of all the thuggers on the team like Lewis, Reed, Williams...etc. etc. But the guy who really just got extremely lucky IMO during the play-offs was Flacco. Yeah I'll admit he had 4 good games but I think it was a "one & done" type thing. There are 8 QBs I'd take over Flacco and being #9 doesn't make you "elite" material.
Brady
Rogers
P. Manning
Brees
E. Manning
Ryan
Roethlisberger
Luck
Flacco (maybe) -
Commander of AwesomeNo Kap? Wilson?

AutomatikHe's on the brink, but I need to see more.

gorocks99Elite, to me, means you're in the top 10% (3-4 QBs) - who right now, I think most would agree, include (in some order) Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees. Flacco isn't near that group IMO, so not elite right now.

Wouldnt take Ryan, Roethlisger, Eli or, at least right now, luck over Flacco.Tiernan;1382260 wrote:Its no secret I hate the ratbirds and thats mostly because of all the thuggers on the team like Lewis, Reed, Williams...etc. etc. But the guy who really just got extremely lucky IMO during the play-offs was Flacco. I think he cracks the top 5 right now of whom I would want QBing my team. HE showed a ton of poise in the playoffs and super bowl. -
Pick6Elite in clutchness inbig games, give me Flacco.
Elite in the terms of skill...Dont think so. -
Laley23No.
Brady, Rodgers, Manning and Brees would be the elite QBs in the NFL. -

Luck doesn't deserve to be on that list.Tiernan;1382260 wrote:Its no secret I hate the ratbirds and thats mostly because of all the thuggers on the team like Lewis, Reed, Williams...etc. etc. But the guy who really just got extremely lucky IMO during the play-offs was Flacco. sleeperYes he's elite. He just won the Super Bowl, something no other "elite" QB did this year.

You are given the task of starting an NFL team tomorrow...You're telling me you would take Flacco over Luck? Didn't think so.dlazz;1382283 wrote:Luck doesn't deserve to be on that list. -

I know someone named Sanchez who definitely aint anywhere near being on the F'n list.justincredible;1382314 wrote:Did he say that Flacco deserves to be on the list? Didn't think so. -

And to think, the almighty "elite" Brees through more INTS than him this year.Tiernan;1382335 wrote:I know someone named Sanchez who definitely aint anywhere near being on the F'n list. -

Sanchez sucks ass. Your point?Tiernan;1382335 wrote:I know someone named Sanchez who definitely aint anywhere near being on the F'n list. -

I personally do not subscribe to Brees in the elite category but so many other so-called experts palce him there, I grudgingly give it to him. Next season will be a lie-detector for the Saints as a whole.Pick6;1382338 wrote:And to think, the almighty "elite" Brees through more INTS than him this year. -

No, I wouldn't. But that's also not a fair comparison. The point I was trying to make was that having a 1st-year rookie on a list with Brady and Brees is ludicrous.Tiernan;1382307 wrote:You are given the task of starting an NFL team tomorrow...You're telling me you would take Flacco over Luck? Is there any other kind of rookie?dlazz;1382408 wrote:No, I wouldn't. But that's also not a fair comparison. The point I was trying to make was that having a 1st-year rookie on a list with Brady and Brees is ludicrous. -

I have to assume Trent Dilfer was an elite QB then.sleeper;1382286 wrote:Yes he's elite. He just won the Super Bowl, something no other "elite" QB did this year. -

RotinajFlacco had the 25th best QBR this season(pretty sure I heard that right) nope sorry that doesn't make him elite. He had one of the best playoff runs ever but that doesn't make him elite.

Azubuike24LOL @ Merrill Hoge today ranking Flacco the #1 QB in the NFL.
2. Rodgers
3. Brady
4. Roethlisberger
5. Ryan
Dude is smoking something. Left Brees and Peyton out of his top 5. Peyton, maybe, but having Roethlisberger in there? Anyone see this? -
killer_ewokYes.
